CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please read all instructions before starting.
It is recommended that 2 people build this bed.
Save all packing materials until assembly is complete to avoid accidentally discarding smaller
parts and hardware.
Assemble this furniture on a protective surface eg carpet, in the room it will be used.
Assemble and use on a flat surface.
Please do not use power tools when constructing this piece of furniture .
Wipe clean using a soft damp cloth followed by a dry cloth.
Do NOT use cleaning products which may contain ammonia, solvents or abrasive
material.
Do NOT expose the furniture to extremes of heat and humidity.
Important: Keep these instructions for further use
If any components are missing or damaged, do not commence assembly and do not use the
item. Please contact The Childrens Furniture Company on 0843 289 2646 immediately.

IMPORTANT- READ CAREFULLY-RETAIN
FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
All assembly fastenings should be tightened properly and periodically checked, care should be taken that no
fittings are loose.
This child's bunk bed is designed to conform with EN 747-1:2012(E) & BS 8509:2008 + A1 2010
This Hi Sleeper should not be used if any part is broken or missing.
This bed is suitable for a mattress size of 90cm (w) x 190cm (l) x 16cm (h).
Mattress should not exceed the maximum height mark on the safety rail of the top bunk.
This bed is not designed to be dismantled for storage or transportation.
Children are likely to play, bounce, jump, and climb on beds, therefore the childs bed should not be placed to
close to other furniture or windows, blind cords, curtain pulls or other strings or cords and should be placed either
tight to any wall or have a gap of 300mm between the wall and the side of the bed.
Any additional or replacement parts should only be obtained from The Childrens Furniture Company.
WARNING: Children can be trapped between the bed and the wall. To avoid risk of serious injury the
distance between the top safety rail and the wall shall not exceed 75mm nor shall be more than 230
mm.
WARNING: Do not place this child's bed near heat sources, windows or other furniture.
WARNING: Hi Sleepers are not suitable for children under six years due to the risk of injury from falls.

1. Gently push wooden dowels into the top
and bottom holes at the ends of both the
front bed rail and the rear bed rail
2. Gently push wooden dowels into the
middle two holes in each end of the base
rear panel

Prepare all the side rails with wooden dowels

1. Push the rear back rail onto one of the
base end panels, ensure the fittings face the
rear of the bed.
2. Secure rail, see detail
3. Repeat with second base end
panel
a, drop the Bed Connector (
BF107) in to the hole on the top of
the post
b, secure with M6 x 25 mm bolt
(B625) FINGER TIGHT only
Insert Barrel Nut (BF101) into hole on inner
surface of the rail, keep the slot horizontal -
then secure with M6 x 90 Bolt (B690)

Assemble the base

Insert all 4 Bed Connectors
1. Screw the Steel dowels (C104) into the 5
mm holes in the posts of the Bed head and
foot boards.
NB THE HEADBOARD HAS 5 MM HOLES
ON BOTH POSTS, THE FOOT BOARD
(LADDER END OF THE BED) HAS 5 MM
HOLES ON ONE POST ONLY.
1. Place the foot board on the right hand
end of the bed base - do not secure to the
base yet
2. Check you have the back rail (it has 2
holes in the centre of the face surface) and
push on to the footboard
3. Add the 2 long guard rails, ensure the
fittings are facing to the rear of the bed - you
will 2 people for this stage.
4. Carefully place the Headboard into
position, align all 3 rails and push the bed
together
5. Finally secure to rail to the bed head and
foot boards using the barrel nuts (BF101)
and 2 bolts M6 x90 (B690)

Prepare the top Bed head and
footboards.

Build the Top Bed

1. Ease the front bed rail into place
2. Secure in palce with bolt M6 x 90
(B690) and Barrel nut (BF 101)
3. Join the bed to the base using 4
x M6 x 25mm bolts (B625)

Insert the cams into the rear of
the back guard rails
Fit the front bed rail, connect the
bed and secure the rear guard
rails

Push cam (C101) into each of the holes in
the rear of guard rails - note the arrow on
fitting points towards the bed end. Tighten
cams with a screwdriver
Fit support rail to rear guard rails
B640 M6 x 40mm

Top hat bolt

BTH
Push top hat nut (BTH) through hole in
support and secure with bolts M6 x 40
(B640)
a, Push a Top Hat Nut
(THB) into the hole in the
front of the rail, offer up
support and secure with
bolt M6 x 40mm (B640)
b, with the ladder in
position, push 2 barrel
nuts (BF101) into the
holes on the inside of the
ladder side, secure to the
front rail with 2 bolts M6
x 50 mm (B650)
c, Align the remaining support, fit the barrel
nuts to the ladder side and secure both
ladder and support to the front bed rail with
2 bolts M6 x 70 (B670)
a, Insert wooden dowel
(C108) into each of the
blind holes (front ones)
of the ladder raisl
b, push the treads in to
position on the ladder
sides
c, secure each tread with
2 M6 x 50 mm bolts
(B650) and 2 barrel nuts
(BF101)

a, push remaining guard rails on to the steel
dowels and fit cams (C101)
b, Push a top hat nut (BTH) through the
front of the guard rail and secure in place
with bolt M6 X 40, repeat until both guard
rails are secure
