Theradome’s laser reaches the scalp in a compact, circular beam, which
means enhanced penetration. The Theradome laser is 2.4x less diffuse
than a competitive diode. Older laser designs are diffuse and much of
the light energy hits the scalp at an angle, which means more light is
reflected and less is absorbed.

Heat is one reason many laser devices are forced to recommend short
treatment times and, therefore, low energy doses. Adding extra lasers to

Yes. The LH80 PRO offers 100% coverage of both
male and female pattern baldness. There is no
clinical benefit to treating areas of the scalp not
affected by pattern hair loss.

Neither the FDA nor the LPT scientific community
recognize this marketing term. “Medical laser” simply
describes a class of device approved or cleared for
medical use. The LH80 PRO was the first laser hair
restoration device cleared by the FDA for OTC use in
the home. We are the only LPT company to grow our
own lasers.

Theradome carefully planned its diode pattern to
optimize light delivery, coverage and dose based on
the properties of its laser technology. Our 80-laser
design is able to treat all of the follicles affected by
pattern hair loss with >6Joule/cm2 treatments 2x/
week.
Some brands claim to offer professional products,
but have“innovated”products by adding more and
more old-technology lasers to their devices. This
may be to counteract lower power at the scalp, poor
light delivery and/or loss of light due to reflection.
Unfortunately, this practice may be driven more by
marketing than science. Adding more lasers to a
device does not necessarily make it better. Actually,
it can make it worse.
Here’s the science: 1) A single, focused laser beam
diffuses through the scalp and can treat hundreds
of follicles. 2) In some cases, added heat and
overlapping beams can reduce laser power and
possibly damage hair follicles. 3) Time, wave- length,
