SE – Installation/Skötsel
1. Installation
CRörinstallationen skall utföras enligt gällande lokala regler
och förordningar. Varmvattenberedaren skall förses med
godkänd säkerhetsventil (bipackad).
CBeredaren ska anslutas till expansionskärl och säkerhets-
ventil på sådant sätt att det ej går att stänga av denna
förbindelse.
CHögsta tillåtna temperatur i MBH-beredarna är 100°C både
på sekundär- och primärsidan.
CEftersom varmvattentemperaturen i Diplomat Optimum
G2/G3 och Diplomat Duo Optimum G2/G3 blir mycket hög
krävs att en blandningsventil installeras mellan kallvatten
och varmvattenledningarna som säkerställer en lägre tem-
peratur på tappvattnet.
CDet är viktigt att värmesystemet är avluftat efter installa-
tion. Avluftningsfilter monteras där så erfodras
CSe till att rörinstallationen utförs i enlighet med mått- och
anslutningsskisserna.
1.1 Produktbeskrivning
Thermia MBH är moderna och effektiva förrådsberedare med ett
mycket brett användningsområde för varmvattenproduktion.
Varmvattenberedare Thermia MBH är specialdesignade för att
komplettera Thermias värmepumpar.
(G2 Design, G3 Design och Inverter Design)
Varmvattenberedaren används i anläggningar där hetvatten
produceras av annan värmekälla - valfria energiformer kan där-
med tas i anspråk.
Varmvattenberedare är konstruerad enligt Pressure Equipment
Directive / Tryckkärlsdirektivet 97/23/EC article 3.3

1.3 Montering
För att ta av frontplåten gör följande:
1. Lossa frontplåten genom att vrida låsningen 90°
moturs. Håll samtidigt emot frontplåten med handen.
2. Luta frontplåten utåt
3. Lyft frontplåten uppåt för att lossna den från
varmvattenberedaren
1.3.1 Placering
•Placera Thermia MBH på ett golv som klarar vikten.
•Rummet skall vara försett med golvbrunn.
•Thermia MBH är avsedd för stående montage.
•För minsta takhöjd för resning av beredaren, se figur 6.
•Varmvattenberedaren ställs upp och därefter görs rörin-
stallationen. Ska beredaren monteras tillsammans med
en värmepump ska den placeras brevid värmepumpen
och anslutas med en flexibel anslutningsledning.

Kall- och varmvattenledning samt spilledning från säkerhetsven-
til ska utföras i värmebeständigt och korrosionssäkert material
t ex koppar. Säkerhetsventilens spilledning ska stå i oavstängbar
förbindelse med avlopp och mynna synligt över detta i frostfri
miljö.
2. Skötsel
2.1 Säkerhetsventil
Säkerhetsventilen är ett skydd mot övertryck i den slutna varm-
vattenberedaren och ska därför ägnas regelbunden tillsyn.
•Kontroll av säkerhetsventilen görs genom att hatten
vrids varvid ventilen ska släppa ut litet vatten via spil-
ledningen. Detta bör göras minst fyra gånger per år.
•Om ventilen ej fungerar ska den bytas. KONTAKTA
FACKMAN!
•Om säkerhetsventilen ej kontrolleras regelbundet före-
ligger risk att varmvattenberedaren skadas.
•Det är normalt att säkerhetsventilen under uppladd-
ning av varmvattenberedaren släpper ut små mäng-
der vatten, speciellt efter större varmvattentappning.
Ventilens öppningstryck är ej omställbart.
•Säkerhetsventilen ska vara placerad på kallvatteninlop-
pet och monteras horisontellt med utlopp nedåt.
2.2 Vattenkvalitet
Den indirekta uppvärmningen av förbrukningsvarmvattnet
är en fördel som gör Thermia MBH lämpliga i områden med
kalkhaltigt vatten. I anläggning där vattnet kommer från egen
brunn bör kontroll ske att vattenkvaliteten inte kan ge upphov
till skador i varmvatteninstallationen.
•Rostfri behållare och rör bör inte utsättas för vatten
med höga kloridhalter.
CVid mycket dålig vattenkvalitet bör vattenfilter installeras
i anläggningen. En vattenanalys ger besked om eventuellt
nödvändiga åtgärder.

Optimum eller Diplomat Duo Optimum G2/G3 skall givarna
(NTC-typ) som finns i beredaren anslutas på följande plintar:

EN – Installation/Maintenance
1. Installation
CPiping installation must be carried out in accordance with
applicable local rules and regulations. The hot water tank
must be equipped with an approved safety valve (supp-
lied).
CThe tank must be connected to an expansion tank and safety
valve in such a way that the connection cannot be shut off.
CThe highest permitted temperature in the MBH tanks is 100°C,
both on the secondary and primary sides.
CAs the water temperature in Diplomat Optimum G2/G3 and
Diplomat Duo Optimum G2/G3 becomes extremely hot, a
mixer valve must be installed between the cold water and hot
water pipes to ensure a lower domestic hot water tempera-
ture.
CThe highest permitted temperature in the MBH tanks is 100°C,
both on the secondary and primary sides.
CIt is important that the heating system is bled after installa-
tion. Bleed filters must be installed where necessary.
CEnsure that the pipe installation is carried out in accordance
with the dimensions and connection diagrams.
1.1 Product description
Thermia MBH are modern and efficient storage tanks with a very
wide range of uses for hot water production.
Hot water heaters Thermia MBH are specially designed to comple-
ment Thermia’s heat pumps.
(G2 Design, G3 Design and Inverter Design)
The hot water tank is used in installations where the hot water is
produced by another heat source – any energy forms can therefore
be used with it.
The hot water tank is designed according to Pressure
EquipmentDirective 97/23/EC article 3.3

1.3 Installation
To remove the front cover carry out the following:
1. Detach the front cover by twisting the catch 90° anti-
clockwise. At the same time hold the front cover with one
hand.
2. Tilt the front cover outwards.
3. Lift the front cover upwards to remove it from the hot
water heater.
1.3.1 Positioning
• Position Thermia MBH on a floor that can bear their
weight.
• The room must be equipped with a floor drain.
• Thermia MBH are intended for upright installation.
• For minimum ceiling height for elevating the heater, see
figure 6.
• The hot water tank is positioned and then the pipes are
connected. If the tank is to be installed together with a
heat pump it must be positioned beside the heat pump
and connected with a flexible connection.

Cold and hot water pipes as well as overflow pipes from safety
valves must be made of heat resistant and corrosion-resistant
material, e.g. copper. The safety valve’s overflow lines must have an
open connection with the outlet and visibly flow into it in a frost-
free environment.
2. Maintenance
2.1 Safety valve
The safety valve is protection against the over pressure in the
closed hot water tank and must therefore be regularly inspect-
ed.
•The safety valve can be checked by turning the cap
until the valve lets out some water through the over-
flow pipe. This must be carried out at least four times a
year.
•If a safety valve does not work properly, it must be
replaced. CONTACT AN AUTHORISED TECHNICIAN!
•If the safety valve is not checked regularly, the hot
water tank might be damaged.
•It is quite normal for the safety valve to let out small
amounts of water when the hot water tank is being
charged, especially if a lot of hot water was used previ-
ously. The opening pressure of the safety valves is not
adjustable.
•The safety valve is mounted on the cold water inlet line,
horizontally with its outlet opening facing downwards.
2.2 Water quality
The indirect heating of the water for consumption is an advan-
tage, which makes Thermia MBH suitable in areas with high cal-
cium levels in the water. In installations where the water comes
from a well the water should be checked to ensure that it can-
not cause damage to the hot water installation.
•Stainless steel tanks and pipes should not be exposed
to water with high chloride levels.
CWith very poor water quality, a water filter must be
installed in the installation. A water analysis will provide
indication of any necessary remedial actions.
2.3 Sensor
If Thermia MBH is installed in combination with Diplomat Duo
Optimum or Diplomat Duo Optimum G2/G3, the sensors (NTC-
type) in the heaters must be connected to the following termi-
nal blocks:
•Hot water - 311-312
•Top sensor - 325-326
If Thermia MBH Inverter Design is installed in combination with
Diplomat Duo Inverter, the sensors (PT 1000 type) in the
heaters must be con-nected to the following terminal blocks
(X2):
•Hot water - 16-17
•Top sensor - 18-19

How to flush the tap water system
When the tap water and the heating system have been filled up, the unit shall be running at maximal, normal operating
temperature for a minimum of one hour. After that the tap water system shall be flushed out and re-filled.
How to drain the tap water system
After the tap water system has been flushed out, the cold and hot water pipes and the water heater tank need to be drained.
To drain the system follow the instructions below:
1. Close the shut-off valve on the incoming water supply.
2. Open both cold and hot water taps which are situated as low as possible in the building to depressurise the system.
3. Loosen and remove the cold water pipe at the top of the heat pump.
4. Insert a plastic hose to use as a siphon into the cold water connection and bring it to the bottom of the water heater tank.
5. Place the other end of the hose near a gully.
6. Use the siphon effect to empty the water heater tank.
Please note that there can be some water remaining in the cold water pipe which must be taken care of
when loosening the pipe.

1. Installation
CDie Installation muss entsprechend der örtlich gelten-
den Regeln und Vorschriften ausgeführt werden. Der
Warmwasserbereiter muss mit einem zugelassenen
Sicherheitsventil (im Lieferumfang enthalten) ausgestattet
sein.
CDer Bereiter ist so an einen Ausdehnungsbehälter und ein
Sicherheitsventil anzuschließen, dass diese Verbindung
nicht abgesperrt werden kann.
CDie maximal im MBH-Bereiter zugelassene Temperatur
beträgt sowohl auf der Primär- als auch der Sekundärseite
100°C.
CWeil in Diplomat Optimum G2/G3 und Diplomat Duo
Optimum G2/G3 die Warmwassertemperatur sehr hoch
wird, ist es erforderlich ein Mischerventil zwischen
Kalt- und Wasserleitung zu installieren, welches für das
Brauchwasser eine niedrigere Temperatur sicherstellt.
CDie maximal im MBH-Bereiter zugelassene Temperatur
beträgt sowohl auf der Primär- als auch der Sekundärseite
100°C.
CDie Heizungsanlage muss nach der Installation unbedingt
entlüftet sein. An allen erforderlichen Stellen müssen
Entlüftungsfilter angebracht werden.
CDie Rohrinstallation muss gemäß den Maß- und
Anschlussplänen ausgeführt werden.

Heißwasser von einer anderen Wärmequelle erzeugt wird,
wodurch beliebige Energiearten genutzt werden können.
Der Warmwasserbereiter ist gemäß der Druckgeräterichtlinie
97/23/EG, Artikel 3.3 konstruiert.

1.3 Montage
Um das Frontblech abzunehmen, ist Folgendes auszuführen:
1. Lösen Sie das Frontblech, indem Sie den Verschluss
um 90° im Uhrzeigersinn drehen. Halten Sie dabei das
Frontblech mit der Hand fest.
2. Kippen Sie das Frontblech nach außen.
3. Heben Sie das Frontblech nach oben und lösen Sie es
vom Warmwasserbereiter.
1.3.1 Aufstellung
•Stellen Sie Thermia MBH auf einem für das Gewicht aus-
gelegten Fußboden auf.
•Im Raum muss ein Bodenabfluss sein.
•Thermia MBH sind für aufrechte Installation vorgese-
hen.
•Minimale Deckenhöhe für das Aufrichten des Bereiters,
siehe Abbildung 6.
•Der Warmwasserbereiter wird aufgestellt und anschlie-
ßend die Rohrinstallation ausgeführt. Wenn der Bereiter
zusammen mit einer Wärmepumpe installiert werden
soll, ist er neben der Wärmepumpe aufzustellen und
mit einer flexiblen Anschlussleitung anzuschließen.

Die Kalt- und Warmwasserleitungen sowie die
Überlaufleitungen des Sicherheitsventils müssen aus hitze-
beständigem und korrosionssicherem Material, z.B. Kupfer,
bestehen. Die Überlaufleitung des Sicherheitsventils darf unter
keinen Umständen vom Abfluss getrennt werden können und
muss sichtbar über dem Abfluss an einem frostfreien Platz mün-
den.
2. Wartung
2.1 Sicherheitsventil
Das Sicherheitsventil ist ein Schutz gegen Überdruck im
geschlossenen Warmwasserbereiter und muss daher regelmäßig
überprüft werden.
•Die Überprüfung des Sicherheitsventils erfolgt durch
Drehen des Kopfs, wobei aus dem Ventil etwas Wasser
über die Überlaufleitung austritt. Dies sollte vier Mal im
Jahr durchgeführt werden.
•Wenn das Ventil nicht funktioniert, ist es auszutau-
schen. WENDEN SIE SICH AN EINEN FACHMANN!
•Wenn das Sicherheitsventil nicht regelmäßig über-
prüft wird, besteht die Gefahr, dass Schäden am
Warmwasserbereiter auftreten.
•Es ist ganz normal, dass während des Ladens des
Warmwasserbereiters am Sicherheitsventil kleine
Wassermengen austreten, ganz besonders nachdem
große Warmwassermengen verbraucht wurden. Der
Öffnungsdruck des Ventils kann nicht verändert wer-
den.
•Das Sicherheitsventil muss sich in der
Kaltwasserzulaufleitung befinden und horizontal mit
nach unten gerichtetem Abfluss installiert werden.
2.2 Wasserqualität
Die indirekte Erwärmung des Brauchwassers ist ein Vorzug,
durch den sich Thermia MBH für Gegenden mit besonders
kalkhaltigem Wasser eignen. Bei Installationen, in denen
das Wasser aus einem Brunnen bezogen wird, sollte die
Wasserqualität kontrolliert werden, um etwaige Schäden an der
Warmwasserinstallation auszuschließen.
•Edelstahlbehälter und -rohre sollten nicht mit Wasser in
Berührung kommen, das hohe Chlorwerte aufweist.
CBei besonders schlechter Wasserqualität muss die
Installation mit einem Wasserfilter ausgerüstet werden.
Eine Wasseruntersuchung gibt Aufschluss über eventuell
erforderliche Maßnahmen.
2.3 Fühler
Werden Thermia MBH zusammen mit Diplomat Duo Optimum
oder Diplomat Duo Optimum G2/G3 montiert, erfolgt der
Anschluss der im Behälter vorhandenen Fühler (NTC-typ) an fol-
gende Klemmen:
•Warmwasser – 311 - 312
•Oberer Fühler – 325 - 326
Werden Thermia MBH Inverter Design zusammen mit
Diplomat Duo Inverter, erfolgt der Anschluss der im Behälter
vorhandenen Fühler (PT 1000 typ) an folgende Klemmen
(X2):
•Warmwasser – 16 - 17
•Oberer Fühler – 18 - 19
