IPC8053 Quick Start Guide
Installation Prerequisites
1. IP Camera Device with full package
2. Wireless Router
3. Android Smart Phone (Recommend Snapdragon 820 and Android 6.0 or greater)
4. Computer compatible with Firefox browser
Hardware Installation Steps
1. Hardware connection
a) Install Wi-Fi antenna in left hand side SMA connector.
b) Connect Camera Lens clockwise.
2. IP Camera on tripod stand as shown in Figure 1.

3. Power on the IP Camera
a) Connect the camera and computer to a router directly as shown in Figure 2. Don’t
plug the cable to the router’s Internet port.
b) Plug 12V DC adapter into “DC/IN” jack on the camera as shown in Figure 3.


plugged, IP Camera will boot up automatically.

4. Trouble Shooting Section
a) Follow step 3, IP camera shall start normally, Ethernet port shall flash
green/orange light.
b) If your Ethernet port doesn’t flash after trying several on/off power cycles,
please contact our customer service. (https://store.thundercomm.com/ipc)
Device Discovery
1. Download and install IP Camera APK (Android 6.0 or greater)
a) Open the browser on the smart phone
b) Download the APK from browser, http://fir.im/3wyt Password: thundersoft
2. Choose the device and obtain IP address
a) Connect the camera and PC to a router as shown in Figure 2.
b) Open the Smart Phone’s Wi-Fi setting

select the router AP and enter password
connect to it. (Smart Phone may also connect to the IP Camera directly)
(Camera SSID: IPC8053_XXXXX , Default Password: password)
c) When step b) completes, open the IP Camera App

When opened IP Camera app,
"Devices Found" screen will display automatically. Screen displays as shown in

Setup Instructions Using Android App
1. Verify the Smart Phone connects to the router successfully.
2. Open the IP Camera App

”Devices Found” screen will be displayed; select the camera
ID you wish to connect to Login screen appears as shown in Figure 5
3. Enter the User ID and password to login (hint: User ID: admin Password: admin)
4. Once logged in, the Camera Preview will display as shown in Figure 6.

Setup Instructions Using Web Browser
1. Verify the camera and PC connect to the router successfully.
2. Open Firefox browser on PC, enter the camera’s IP address (one can find camera IP
from “Devices Found” screen on app as shown in Figure 4) and click gologin screen
display as shown in Figure 7.
3. Enter following information to login (User ID: admin Password: admin)
4. Click preview button to open the live preview as shown in 8.

Download Tech-Support Documents
Note: For further information please refer to DCN:8053 IP Camera User Manual, etc.
1. Open the Thundercomm website https://store.thundercomm.com/ipc
2. Register a New Account as shown in Figure 9.

3. Once registered successfully, Login and website displayed as shown in Figure 10.
4. Tap Download button, the website switches to the download screen automatically
as shown in Figure 11.
5. For the product key, you can read it on the IP Camera’s packing box shown as
Figure 12.
6. Once the above steps above are completed, one can download the various
documents as shown in Figure 13.
