optimaal gebruik kunt maken van dit oublie-ijzer. In deze
handleiding vindt u alle benodigde aanwijzingen en
adviezen voor het gebruik, schoonmaken en onderhoud
van het apparaat. Als u deze aanwijzingen volgt, heeft u
altijd een uitstekend resultaat.

VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
Algemeen
•Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing zorgvuldig door en
bewaar deze goed.
•Gebruik het apparaat alleen zoals beschreven in deze
handleiding.
•Laat het apparaat niet onbeheerd achter als het is
ingeschakeld.
•Dit toestel mag gebruikt worden door kinderen
vanaf de leeftijd van 8 jaar en door personen
met verminderde fysieke, zintuiglijke of mentale
capaciteiten of met gebrek aan ervaring of
kennis, indien zij onder het toezicht staan of
gebruiksinstructies voor het veilig gebruik van dit
toestel gekregen hebben en de mogelijke gevaren
begrijpen.
•Houd het apparaat en snoer buiten bereik van
kinderen jonger dan 8 jaar.
•Houd strikt toezicht op kinderen om te voorkomen
dat zij het apparaat als speelgoed gebruiken.
•Laat reparaties alleen door een gekwalificeerd
servicecentrum uitvoeren.
Elektriciteit en warmte
•Controleer vóór gebruik of de netspanning gelijk
is aan de netspanning die op het apparaat wordt
vermeld.
•Sluit het apparaat alleen aan op een geaard
stopcontact.
•Controleer het snoer regelmatig op beschadigingen.
Gebruik het apparaat niet als het snoer beschadigd
is. Laat een beschadigd snoer vervangen door een
gekwalificeerd servicecentrum.
•Trek aan de stekker en niet aan het snoer wanneer u
de stekker uit het stopcontact haalt.
•Voorkom dat het snoer in aanraking komt met een
heet oppervlak of stoom.
•Haal altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u het
apparaat verplaatst en wanneer u het niet gebruikt.
•Als u een verlengsnoer gebruikt, gebruik dan een
verlengsnoer met randaarde dat geschikt is voor
5 ampère.
•Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of een
andere vloeistof (geldt niet voor losse onderdelen).
•Raak het apparaat niet aan als het in water is
gevallen. Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact, schakel
het apparaat uit en gebruik het niet meer.
•Gebruik het apparaat niet in de directe nabijheid van
hittebronnen zoals een fornuis of oven.

•Raak het apparaat niet aan tijdens het gebruik; het
apparaat wordt zeer heet.
Gebruik
•Het apparaat is alleen bedoeld voor huishoudelijk
gebruik en is niet geschikt voor professioneel gebruik.
•Gebruik het apparaat alleen voor het bakken
van kniepertjes. Als u het apparaat voor andere
doeleinden gebruikt, kan dit schade veroorzaken.
•Gebruik het apparaat alleen binnenshuis, in droge
ruimtes en niet in de nabijheid van water.
•Zorg voor voldoende ventilatie rondom het apparaat
en zorg indien mogelijk voor afzuiging.
•Plaats het apparaat niet direct onder een stopcontact.
•Plaats het apparaat op een vlak en stabiel oppervlak
waar het niet van af kan vallen.
•Plaats het apparaat op een hittebestendige
ondergrond, dus bijvoorbeeld niet direct op gelakte
meubels.
•Plaats het apparaat minimaal 50 centimeter van
de muur of brandbaar materiaal (zoals gordijnen,
papieren of doekjes).
•Leg het snoer zo, dat niemand over het snoer kan
struikelen of aan het snoer kan trekken.
•Verwijder producten tijdig uit het apparaat. Een
product kan anders aanbranden en rookontwikkeling
veroorzaken.
•Gebruik nooit scherpe voorwerpen in het apparaat
om te voorkomen dat de antiaanbaklaag beschadigt.
•Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact nadat u het
apparaat heeft gebruikt.

WERKING
Algemeen
U kunt dit apparaat gebruiken voor het bakken van
kniepertjes.
VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK
Verwijder het verpakkingsmateriaal van het apparaat.
Reinig het apparaat. Zie de sectie ‘Schoonmaken en
onderhoud’. Plaats het apparaat op een vlak en stabiel
oppervlak. Steek de stekker in het stopcontact. De rode
controlelamp gaat branden om aan te geven dat het
apparaat is ingeschakeld. Zet de temperatuurregelaar
op de hoogste stand (rechts) en laat het apparaat
gedurende 5 minuten opwarmen. Zo kunnen stof en
eventuele productieresten verbranden. Tijdens het
opwarmen kan er een beetje rook uit het apparaat
komen. Dit is normaal en duidt niet op een defect.
Zorg voor een goede ventilatie. De rode controlelamp
gaat uit als het apparaat klaar is voor gebruik (de

gewenste temperatuur is bereikt). Haal de stekker uit het
stopcontact. Reinig het apparaat als het is afgekoeld.
Zie de sectie ‘Schoonmaken en onderhoud’. Ga verder
met de procedure in de sectie ‘Gebruik’.
GEBRUIK
Bereid het kniepertjesbeslag volgens de instructies in de
sectie ‘Recepten’. Plaats het apparaat op een vlakke,
stabiele en hittebestendige ondergrond. Steek de
stekker in het stopcontact. Stel de temperatuurregelaar
in op de gewenste temperatuur. Tijdens het bakken van
de kniepertjes kunt u de temperatuur bijstellen door de
temperatuurregelaar te verschuiven. Laat het apparaat
voorverwarmen. Dit duurt enkele minuten. De rode
controlelamp gaat uit als de ingestelde temperatuur
is bereikt. Open het apparaat door het handvat aan
de onderzijde in te drukken. Smeer de bakplaten in
met wat vloeibare bakboter of olie. Gebruik hiervoor
een kwastje. Verdeel wat beslag gelijkmatig over
de onderste bakplaat, vanuit het midden. Sluit het
apparaat. Controleer regelmatig of de kniepertjes
voldoende bruin is door het apparaat te openen. Neem
de kniepertjes uit het apparaat als ze klaar zijn. U mag
hiervoor geen scherpe voorwerpen gebruiken om te
voorkomen dat de antiaanbaklaag beschadigt. Rol de
kniepertjes in de gewenste vorm zolang ze nog heet
zijn. Laat de kniepertjes afkoelen op een roostertje.
Eet smakelijk!
LET OP
•Worden de kniepertjes te snel donker of juist te
langzaam, stel dan de temperatuur bij met de
temperatuurregelaar.
•Verwijder producten tijdig uit het apparaat. Producten
kunnen anders aanbranden en rookontwikkeling
veroorzaken.
•Raak het apparaat tijdens gebruik niet aan. Het
apparaat wordt zeer heet.
Zet na gebruik de temperatuurregelaar op de laagste
stand (links) en haal de stekker uit het stopcontact. Laat
het apparaat volledig afkoelen, voordat u het reinigt
en opbergt. Reinig het apparaat zoals beschreven in de
sectie ‘Schoonmaken en onderhoud’.
SCHOONMAKEN EN ONDERHOUD
LET OP
•Haal altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het
apparaat afkoelen voordat u het schoonmaakt.
•Dompel het apparaat of snoer nooit onder in water
of een andere vloeistof. Dit kan een elektrische schok
veroorzaken.
•Gebruik voor het schoonmaken geen agressief
schoonmaakmiddel, schuurmiddel of een scherp
object, zoals een harde borstel of mes.
•Plaats nooit harde of scherpe objecten in het
apparaat. Hierdoor kan het apparaat beschadigen.
•Reinig het apparaat na ieder gebruik, zodat er geen
voedselresten kunnen aankoeken.

Maak het apparaat als volgt schoon:
Reinig de bakplaten met een vochtige doek of een
zacht borsteltje. Droog de bakplaten met een theedoek
grondig af. Maak de behuizing van het apparaat
schoon met alleen een vochtige doek. Droog na met
een droge doek.

Zet het apparaat op een droge plaats weg.

RECEPT
Kniepertjesbeslag
200 g gewone bloem – 150 g suiker – 150 g boter –
2 eieren – vanillesuiker of kaneel naar smaak –
1 snuifje zout. Boter zeer langzaam smelten en
daarna de overige ingrediënten toevoegen – alles
goed mengen. Voeg eventueel eetlepels lauw water
toe, zodat het deeg kneedbaar wordt.

Garantiebepalingen
•TOMADO geeft 2 jaar garantie op alle defecten die het
gevolg zijn van verborgen gebreken en die het apparaat
ongeschikt maken voor normaal gebruik.
•De garantie gaat in op het moment van aankoop;
bewaar het aankoopbewijs dan ook zorgvuldig.
•Binnen de garantieperiode zullen eventuele fabricage-
en/of materiaalfouten kostenloos door ons worden
verholpen, hetzij door reparatie, vervanging van
onderdelen of omruilen van het apparaat.
•Het garantiebewijs dient ingevuld te worden door de
verko(o)p(st)er op het moment van aankoop.
•Reparatie wordt alleen onder garantie uitgevoerd indien
overtuigend wordt aangetoond, (d.m.v. ingevulde
garantiekaart met bijbehorende aankoopbon), dat
de dag waarop de klacht is ingediend binnen de
garantieperiode valt.
•De garantie vervalt indien het defect is ontstaan door
schade als gevolg van een ongeluk, onjuist gebruik,
verwaarlozing (bijv. niet goed reinigen), of indien er
ingrepen zijn verricht of reparatie is uitgevoerd buiten
de service werkplaats van TOMADO (uitgezonderd
demontage, zoals vermeld in de gebruiksaanwijzing).
•Eveneens is de garantie niet geldig voor aansluiting
op verkeerde netspanning, het niet opvolgen van de
gebruiksaanwijzing en normale slijtage van het apparaat.
•De garantie dekt evenmin beschadigingen ontstaan
door het niet tijdig ontkalken van apparaten, welk water
ook gebruikt is (dit geldt vanzelfsprekend speciaal voor
stoomstrijkijzers, koffiezetapparaten en waterkokers).
•TOMADO kan niet aansprakelijk gesteld worden
voor materiele schade of persoonlijke ongelukken ten
gevolge van aansluiting in strijd met de ter plaatse
geldende veiligheidsvoorschriften en technische normen
(bijvoorbeeld een ondeugdelijk stopcontact). De garantie
geeft in geen enkel geval recht op schadevergoeding.
•Alle andere schadeclaims, inclusief beschadiging, zijn
uitgesloten tenzij de Wet anders oordeelt.
•Andere dan bovengenoemde garantiebepalingen zullen
door ons niet worden gehanteerd.

Wat te doen als uw apparaat niet werkt?
Indien uw apparaat defecten vertoont kunt u zich
wenden tot uw winkelier. Uw winkelier zal er zorg
voor dragen dat deze defecten zo spoedig mogelijk
verholpen worden.
Reparaties buiten de garantieperiode
Reparaties buiten de garantieperiode zijn altijd mogelijk.
Hieraan zijn uiteraard kosten verbonden.

INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ
Généralités
•Lisez soigneusement le mode d'emploi et conservez-le
avec soin.
•Utilisez l’appareil uniquement suivant les instructions
du mode d’emploi.
•Ne laissez jamais l’appareil sans surveillance quand il
est en marche.
•Cet appareil peut être utilisé par les enfants à partir
de 8 ans et les personnes souffrant de déficience
physique, sensorielle et mentale ou manquant
d’expérience et de connaissance à condition qu’elles
soient sous surveillance ou aient reçu des instructions
sécuritaires relatives à l’utilisation de l’appareil et
comprennent les risques impliqués.
•Conservez l’appareil et son cordon hors de la portée
des enfants de moins de 8 ans.
•Surveillez bien les enfants pour les empêcher de jouer

Électricité et chaleur
•Avant l'utilisation, assurez-vous que la tension de
votre réseau d'alimentation correspond à la tension
du réseau indiquée sur l'appareil.
•Branchez l'appareil uniquement sur une prise
raccordée à la terre.
•Vérifiez régulièrement que le cordon électrique est
en bon état. N'utilisez pas l'appareil si le cordon est
endommagé. Faites remplacer le cordon endommagé
par un service technique qualifié.
•Lorsque vous débranchez la fiche, saisissez la fiche
elle-même ; ne tirez pas sur le cordon.
•Assurez-vous que le cordon n’entre pas en contact
avec une surface très chaude ou avec de la vapeur.
•Débranchez toujours la fiche lorsque vous déplacez
l'appareil et lorsque vous ne l'utilisez pas.
•Si vous utilisez une rallonge, elle doit être mise à la
terre et avoir une capacité de 5 ampères.
•N'immergez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau ou dans
un autre liquide (ceci n'est pas valable pour les
accessoires).
•Ne rattrapez pas l’appareil s’il tombe dans l’eau.
Débranchez la fiche, éteignez l’appareil et cessez de
l’utiliser.
•N'utilisez pas l'appareil à proximité directe de sources
de chaleur telles qu'une cuisinière ou un four.
•Ne touchez pas l'appareil pendant qu'il est en
marche ; il peut s'échauffer fortement.

Utilisation
•L'appareil est destiné uniquement à l'usage
domestique, et non à l'usage professionnel.
•Utilisez l'appareil uniquement pour préparer des
oublies. Si vous utilisez l'appareil à d'autres fins, vous
risquez de l'endommager.
•Utilisez l’appareil uniquement à l’intérieur, dans une
pièce sèche et pas trop près de l’eau.
•Veillez à ce que la ventilation soit suffisante dans la
pièce et, si possible, allumez une hotte d'aspiration.
•Ne placez pas l'appareil directement sous une prise
électrique.
•Posez l’appareil sur une surface plane et stable, où il
ne risque pas de tomber.
•Posez l'appareil sur une surface résistante à la
chaleur ; évitez par exemple de le poser sur un
meuble verni ou ciré.
•Laissez un espace d'au moins 50 centimètres entre
l'appareil et un mur ou un matériau inflammable
(rideaux, papiers ou chiffons).
•Placez le cordon de telle sorte qu'on ne puisse pas se
prendre les pieds dedans ni tirer dessus par accident.
•Retirez à temps les aliments de l'appareil. Sinon,
les aliments risquent de brûler et de dégager de la
fumée.
•N'utilisez jamais d'ustensiles métalliques dans
l'appareil pour ne pas endommager le revêtement
antiadhésif.
•Débranchez la fiche quand vous avez fini d’utiliser
l’appareil.

FONCTIONNEMENT
Généralités
Cet appareil sert à faire des oublies.
AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
Ôtez l’emballage de l’appareil. Nettoyez l’appareil.
Reportez-vous à la section 'Nettoyage et entretien'.
Installez l’appareil sur une surface plane et stable.
Branchez la fiche. Le témoin lumineux rouge s'allume,
indiquant que l'appareil est en marche. Placez le bouton
de réglage de la température sur la position la plus
élevée (à droite) et laissez l'appareil chauffer pendant
dix minutes environ. Vous débarrassez ainsi l'appareil
de la poussière et d'éventuels restes du processus de
fabrication. Pendant le chauffage, l’appareil peut
dégager un peu de fumée. Ceci est normal et ne signifie
pas de problème. La ventilation doit être suffisante.
Le témoin lumineux rouge s'éteint quand l'appareil
est prêt à être utilisé (la température souhaitée est

atteinte). Débranchez la fiche. Nettoyez l'appareil après
qu’il a refroidi. Reportez-vous à la section 'Nettoyage
et entretien'. Suivez la procédure décrite à la section
'Utilisation'.
UTILISATION
Préparez la pâte à oublies selon la recette donnée à
la section "Recettes". Posez l'appareil sur une surface
plate et stable, résistante à la chaleur. Branchez la fiche.
Mettez le bouton de réglage de la température sur la
position désirée. Pendant la cuisson des oublies, vous
adaptez la température avec le bouton de réglage.
Laissez l'appareil préchauffer. Ceci prend quelques
minutes. Le témoin lumineux rouge s'éteint quand la
température réglée est atteinte. Ouvrez l'appareil en
appuyant sur la poignée par le bas. Huilez ou beurrez
légèrement la plaque de cuisson. Utilisez un pinceau.
Répartissez un peu de pâte sur la plaque inférieure,
à partir du milieu. Refermez. Vérifiez de temps en
temps si les oublies sont déjà assez dorées en ouvrant
l'appareil. Sortez les oublies dès qu'elles sont cuites.
N'utilisez jamais d'ustensiles métalliques, pour ne pas
endommager le revêtement antiadhésif. Tant qu'ils
sont encore chauds, roulez les oublies selon la forme
souhaitée. Posez les oublies sur une grille et laissez
refroidir.

ATTENTION
•Si les oublies cuisent trop vite ou trop lentement,
adaptez la température avec le bouton de réglage.
•Retirez à temps les aliments de l'appareil. Les aliments
risquent de brûler et de dégager de la fumée.
•Ne touchez pas l'appareil pendant qu'il est en
marche. Il peut s'échauffer fortement.
Quand vous avez fini d'utiliser l'appareil, mettez le
bouton de réglage de la température en position
minimum (à gauche) et débranchez la fiche. Laissez
refroidir complètement l'appareil avant de le nettoyer et
de le ranger. Nettoyez l'appareil suivant les instructions
de la section "Nettoyage et entretien".
NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
ATTENTION
•Débranchez toujours la fiche et laissez refroidir
l'appareil avant de le nettoyer.
•N'immergez jamais l'appareil ni le cordon dans
l'eau ou dans un autre liquide. Vous risquez un choc
électrique.
•N’utilisez pas de détergents agressifs ou décapants, ni
d’objets tranchants, tels que couteau ou brosse dure,
pour le nettoyage.
•Ne mettez jamais d'objets durs ni tranchants dans
l'appareil. Vous risquez d'abîmer l'appareil.
•Nettoyez l’appareil après chaque utilisation, ne laissez
pas de restes sécher et durcir à l’intérieur.
Nettoyez l’appareil selon les instructions suivantes :
Pour nettoyer les plaques de cuisson, utilisez un chiffon

doux ou une brosse à vaisselle. Séchez bien les plaques
avec un torchon. Nettoyez l'extérieur de l'appareil avec
un chiffon humide seulement. Séchez avec un chiffon
sec.

Rangez l’appareil dans un endroit sec.

RECETTE
Pâte à oublies
200 g de farine fleur – 150 g de sucre blanc – 150 g
de beurre ou de margarine – 2 œufs – sucre vanillé
ou cannelle à volonté – 1 pincée de sel. Faire fondre
le beurre très lentement puis y ajouter tous les autres
ingrédients et bien mélanger. Ajouter quelques
cuillerées d'eau tiède si nécessaire pour rendre la pâte
malléable.

possibilité de faire réparer gratuitement les éventuels
défauts de fabrication et / ou défauts de matériaux, de
remplacer certaines pièces ou d’échanger votre appareil.
•Le certificat de garantie doit être rempli, au moment de
l’achat, par celui ou celle qui vend l’appareil.
•La réparation ne sera effectuée que si vous pouvez
prouver que le jour de votre réclamation se trouve
encore dans la période de garantie (par exemple carte
de garantie dûment remplie accompagnée de la preuve
d’achat correspondante).
•La garantie n’est pas valable si le défaut a été causé par
un dégât suite à un accident, par une mauvaise utilisation,
une négligence (par exemple, mauvais nettoyage), ou si
des interventions ou réparations ont été faites autre part
que dans un atelier de service TOMADO (à l’exception du
démontage, comme indiqué dans le mode d’emploi).
•De même, la garantie ne sera plus valable si vous
branchez votre appareil sur une mauvaise tension réseau,
si vous ne suivez pas le mode d’emploi et en cas d’usure
normale de l’appareil.
•La garantie ne couvre pas non plus les dégâts causés en
cas de détartrage non fait à temps sur l’appareil, quelle
que soit l’eau utilisée (ce qui est aussi le cas pour les fers
à repasser à vapeur, les machines à café et les bouilloires
électriques).
•TOMADO ne peut pas être rendu responsable pour
des dégâts matériels ou des accidents personnels
ayant été produits par un raccordement contradictoire
aux consignes de sécurités et normes techniques en
vigueur sur les lieux (par exemple une prise de courant
défectueuse). La garantie ne donne en aucun cas droit à
un dédommagement.
•Toutes les autres réclamations de dommages et intérêts,

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General Information
•Read these instructions carefully and keep them in a
safe place.
•Only use the appliance as described in this manual.
•Never leave the appliance unattended when it is
switched on.
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
•Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of
children less than 8 years.
•Children must be strictly supervised to prevent them
from treating the appliance as a toy.
•Only have the appliance repaired by a qualified
service centre.
Electricity and heat
•Before use, check that the mains power supply voltage
is the same as the voltage indicated on the appliance.
•Always plug the appliance into an earthed plug
socket.
•Regularly check the power cord for damage. Do not
use the appliance if the power cord is damaged.
Have a damaged power cord replaced by a qualified
service centre.
•To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the
plug. Do not pull the power cord.
•Make sure the power cord does not come into contact
with hot surfaces or steam.
•Always unplug the appliance before moving it or
when it is not in use.
•If you use an extension lead, use an earthed extension
lead that is suitable for a 5 A current.
•Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquid
(does not apply to accessories).
•Do not touch the appliance if it has fallen into
water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the
appliance and do not use it again.
•Do not use the appliance close to hot objects such as
a stove or oven.
•Don't touch the appliance during use; the appliance
gets very hot.
Using the appliance
•The appliance is only intended for domestic use. It is
not suitable for professional use.
•Only use the appliance for making wafers. Using the

appliance for other purposes may cause damage.
•Only use this appliance indoors, in dry areas away
from water.
•Make sure there is sufficient ventilation around the
appliance. If possible, use an extractor fan.
•Do not place the appliance directly under a plug
socket.
•Place the appliance on a stable, level surface where it
cannot fall to the floor.
•Place the appliance on a heat-resistant surface and
not, for example, on varnished furniture.
•Place the appliance at least 50 cm from a wall or
combustible materials (such as curtains, paper or
cloths).
•Position the power cord so that nobody can trip over
it or pull it.
•Do not leave products in the appliance too long.
Otherwise, they may burn and produce smoke.
•Never use sharp utensils in the appliance, as you may
permanently damage the non-stick coating.
•Remove the plug from the socket when you have
finished using the appliance.

OPERATION
General Information
This appliance is designed to bake wafers.
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Remove the appliance from the packaging material.
Clean the appliance. See ‘Cleaning and maintenance’.
Place the appliance on a level, stable surface. Insert
the plug into the mains power socket. The red status
lamp will glow to indicate that the appliance is switched
on. Set the thermostat to the highest setting (to the
right) and allow the appliance to heat up for five
minutes. This will burn away any dust and possible
manufacturing residues. The appliance may emit a
little smoke while heating up. This is normal and does
not indicate a problem with the appliance. Make sure
the area is well-ventilated. The status lamp goes out
when the appliance is ready for use (once the desired
temperature has been reached). Remove the plug

from the plug socket. Clean the appliance when it
has cooled down. See ‘Cleaning and maintenance’.
Continue with the procedure in ‘Using the appliance’.
USING THE APPLIANCE
Prepare the wafer batter using the recipe in the ‘Recipes’
section. Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-
resistant surface. Insert the plug into the mains power
socket. Set the thermostat to the desired temperature.
You can raise or lower the baking temperature for your
wafers at any time by adjusting the thermostat. Allow
the appliance to heat up. This will take a couple of
minutes. The green status lamp will dim once the reset
temperature has been reached. Open the appliance by
pressing in the handle on the lower side. Grease the
upper and lower cooking plates with a little liquid butter
or oil. Use a pastry brush, oil sprayer, or similar. Spread
some batter evenly from the centre across the lower
cooking plate. Close the appliance. Check regularly
whether the wafer is sufficiently brown by opening the
appliance. Remove the wafer from the appliance when
it is finished. Do not use any sharp utensils for this
purpose, as you may permanently damage the non-stick
coating. Roll the wafers into the desired form while they
are still hot. Allow the wafer to cool on a cooling rack.

the thermostat.

in the lowest setting (to the left) and remove the plug
from the plug socket. Allow the appliance to cool

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
PLEASE NOTE
•Before cleaning the appliance, always unplug it from
the mains power and allow it to cool down.
•Never immerse the appliance or power cord in water,
or in any other liquid. This may cause an electric
shock.
•Do not clean the appliance with an aggressive or
abrasive cleaner or with a sharp object, such as a
hard brush or a knife.
•Never insert hard or sharp objects into the appliance.
This may damage the appliance.
•Always clean the appliance after use so that any food
remains do not become encrusted.

dishwashing brush. Dry the cooking plates thoroughly
with a tea towel. Use only a damp cloth to clean the
appliance body. Dry it with a cloth.

Wafer batter
200 g all-purpose flour – 150 g white sugar – 150 g
butter – 2 eggs – vanilla essence or cinnamon to taste –
1 pinch of salt. Melt butter very slowly and then add the
remaining ingredients – mix everything thoroughly. Add
a few tablespoons of lukewarm water if necessary to
make the batter workable.

What do you do in case your appliance
does not work?
When your appliance shows defects, you can refer to
your salesperson. Your salesperson will make sure any
defect will be repaired as soon as possible.
Repairs outside the warranty period
You can always hand in your appliance to have it
repaired outside the warranty period. This will of
course not be free of charge.
We would like to congratulate you on buying an appliance
from the TOMADO product range.
Warranty regulations
•TOMADO provides a 2-year warranty for all defects
caused by hidden deficiencies which render the appliance
useless for normal operation.
•The warranty runs from the date of purchase; we advise
you to carefully save your receipt.
•Within the warranty period any defects in production or
material will be resolved free of charge, by means of
reparation, replacement of parts or replacement of the
appliance as a whole.
•The warranty certificate has to be filled in by the sales
person at the moment of purchase.
•Repairs will only be made under warranty in case it can
proven (by means of a filled in warranty card and the
receipt) that the day the complaint is filed falls into the
warranty period.
•The warranty does not apply when defects or damages
result from an accident, misuse, negligence (e.g. incorrect
cleansing), or when repairs of alterations have been
executed outside the authorized TOMADO service centre
(excl. disassembling, as stated in the instruction manual).
•The warranty does not cover any defects arising when the
appliance is connected to the wrong outlet voltage, not
following the guidelines in the instruction manual and
usual wear and tear.
•The warranty does not cover any defects arising from the
lack of frequent descaling of appliances, whatever type
of water has been used (especially for steam irons, coffee
machines and water boilers).
