WARNING:
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to person, including the following:
• Use appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended
by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may
cause hazards.
• To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the appliance directly into a
120V AC electrical outlet. DO NOT plug in the cord with wet hands.
• Keep the cord out of heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire hazard,
NEVER put the cord under rugs or near heat registers.
• DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance
malfunctions, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return
appliance to nearest authorized service facility for examination, electrical or
mechanical adjustment, or repair.
• DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions
on this unit. The inside of the unit contains no user serviceable parts.
All servicing should be performed by qualified personnel only.
• No serviceable parts inside.
• DO NOT use outdoors.
• DO NOT let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• The use of accessory attachments is not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer as they may cause injuries.
• DO NOT use appliance for other than intended use.
• Humidifier should be unplugged when not in use.
• DO NOT place humidifier near heat sources such as stoves, radiators, and
heaters. DO locate your humidifier on an inside wall near an electrical outlet.
The humidifier should be at least 4 inches (10 cm) away from the wall for best
results. DO NOT allow the mist outlets to directly face the wall. Moisture could
cause damage, particularly to wallpaper.
• NEVER place humidifier in an area where it is accessible to children. NEVER use
humidifier in a closed room, particularly where a child may be sleeping, resting, or
laying (a closed room may result in excessive humidity).
• DO NOT attempt to refill humidifier without first unplugging the unit from
its electrical outlet. Failure to heed this warning may cause personal injury.
Be sure to unplug the unit by pulling on the plug and not the cord. NEVER
tilt, move, or attempt to empty unit while it is operating. Shut off and
unplug before moving the unit.
• DO NOT block air inlet or outlet while unit is running.
• Always place humidifier on a firm, flat, level surface. A waterproof mat or
pad is recommended for use under the humidifier. NEVER place it on a rug
or carpet, or on a finished floor that may be damaged by exposure to water or
moisture. To prevent damage to surfaces, DO NOT place humidifier under
overhanging surfaces.
• DO NOT use humidifier in an area where humidity level is in excess of 50%.
Usa a hygrometer, available at your local retailer, to measure the humidity.
Turn humidifier off if excessive humidity occurs.
• DO NOT pour water in any openings other than the water tank.
• NEVER place base under water flow or immerse in liquids.
• NEVER operate unit without water in the tank.
• NEVER touch exposed metal diaphragm in base after use. Metal will be HOT.
• This humidifier requires daily and weekly maintenance to operate appropriately.
Refer to Cleaning and Maintenance procedures. Use only cleaners recommended
by the manufacturer.
• NEVER drop or insert any object into any openings.
IMPORTANT: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
• Keep batteries away from children. Parents are urged to exercise care in the
storage, use, and disposal of all batteries.
• DO NOT dispose of battery in fire; it may explode.
• DO NOT attempt to recharge battery.
USING YOUR HUMIDIFIER
Set Up
NOTE: Humidifier should always be on a solid, level, and moisture-resistant surface.
1. Ensure that the humidifier is unplugged.
2. Remove the lid from the top of the tank.
3. Fill the tank with water. DO NOT fill above the MAX fill line.
4. Place the lid back on to the top of the water tank.
5. Plug in the humidifier and press on/off icon to turn it on.
NOTE: If the low water alert appears and the humidifier still has enough water, check to
confirm that the floater has not become stuck below the water line. Please reference
#2 on the diagram on page 1.
For optimal performance, we recommend using distilled water.
Mist Control
Pressing the Mist icon allows you to control the level of mist.
0 – Stop Mist (Use this setting when you only want to use the Light Show mode)
1 – Low Mist
2 – Medium Mist
3 – High Mist
The chosen mist level is shown directly above the on/off icon. The humidifier features
360 degree mist control. Rotate the cover so that the mist vent points in your chosen
direction. NOTE: DO NOT aim mist directly at your child, the wall, or nearby furniture.
Sleep Mode
Pressing the Sleep icon will dim the control display and turn off the light show
(if it is running), but the humidifier will continue to operate normally. Pressing any icon
will undim the control display lights and turn the light show back on.
Timer Mode
Time mode allows you to choose a set amount of time that the humidifier will run in
hourly increments, from 1 to 8 hours. Press the Time icon to cycle through the different
times. Your chosen time will display above the on/off icon with the word “Timer” to the
right of it. While the timer is operating, the display will alternate between the chosen
time and the chosen mist level. The time will also count down as each hour passes to let
you know how much time is left; from 8 to 7 etc. To keep the humidifier running
constantly, cycle through the time options until the timer display disappears.
Remote Control
The remote control can be used to turn the humidifier On and Off, choose Mist Levels,
Activate Sleep Mode, and Choose Timer Mode settings. Simply point the remote at
humidifier, press the appropriate button on the remote and follow the instructions in
the sections above. The remote uses one CR2025 battery. To change the battery,
reference the diagram on the back of the remote control.
Temperature Display
The display panel will show the temperature of the area surrounding the humidifier.
The actual room temperature may vary by +/- 6°F depending on other environmental
factors. (Windows and doorways, etc.)
Light Show Mode
Use the red switch at the rear of the humidifier to turn the multicolored LED nightlights
on and off. NOTE: If you turn the humidifier off using the display panel or remote
control, the lights will also turn off.
Auto Shut Off
This humidifier has a safety system that switches it off before the water runs out. When
the water is almost empty, a red alert symbol will show on the control panel. This safety
feature protects the nebulizer from being damaged due to lack of water and lets you
know it’s time to add more water.
IMPORTANT:
• Water level should NEVER be higher than the top of the max fill line.
• When first using, we do NOT recommend setting the mist output to the maximum
level. Too much mist could cause a pool of water to form near the humidifier.
• It is best to start with lower mist settings until you confirm what works best for your
home’s unique humidity levels.
• If the humidifier is not producing mist, confirm that it is turned on and that the mist
setting has not been set to 0.
WARNING:
• SWALLOWING THE BATTERY, IF IT IS DISLODGED, COULD BE FATAL.
• DO NOT allow your child to bite, hit, or remove, the battery cover.
