Congratulations on your choice of Power Chair, which will provide you with years of dependable
service with proper use and care.
It is important to read through this manual before operating your Top Gun Mobility Power Chair to
become familiar with its features as well as its limitations and safety information. You will find the
operation and care of your Top Gun Mobility Power Chair very simple and easy, however should you
have any questions please don't hesitate to contact your local dealer.
Your opinions are very important to us – if you have any comments on the functionality and safety of
this power chair, or the contents of this manual, please feel free to make contact with your local

chair. Read this manual carefully and review it often until you are
certain how to handle every operation of this power chair.
Top Gun Mobility and its affiliates cannot be held responsible for

COMPONENTS - FOLDING & UNFOLDING
Your Bruno Top Gun Mobility Power Chair will arrive carefully packaged in a cardboard box. We
suggest that two people are available to remove the packaging and set up the power chair for the
first time.
1. The Bruno Power Chair ships upright; carefully open the top of the box then turn the box on
the side for easier removal of the contents.
2. Once all packaging has been removed, you will find the following components:
•Wheelchair main structure
•Attendant control bracket
•Cup Holder
•Small Toolkit
•Joystick Controller
•Battery and Charger
•Charger conversion cable
•2 small reflectors (to be fitted upon assembly as pictured below)

Unfolding Process
STEP ONE
Grip the backrest, and then pull to open. Firmly grasp the push bar and pull up while holding down
on the seat to expand the chair and complete the assembly.

STEP ONE
Open the safety clasp. The image below shows how it should appear when open

While one hand is holding the seat, the other hand should grasp the backrest bar, and then push
forward to fold down. NB: This action may require some strength

INSTALLING THE JOYSTICK CONTROLLER
STEP ONE
Insert the controller joystick into the armrest tube and tighten the knob to fix it in position.
STEP TWO
Connect the controller wire harness to the CPU wire harness that runs from the chair itself, taking
care to line up the pins properly so that they do not get bent, broken or damaged.
NOTE:
Make sure connector pins in wire harness are lined up
properly; do NOT force the wire harness connections
together or you will bend or break the pins.
STEP THREE
Connect the CPU wire and battery to power up the wheelchair. You can choose any socket of the
battery to connect the CPU, but please note that the unused battery socket should be covered with
dust cover.

ADJUSTING THE ARMREST
For the sake of your on-off wheels, turn on the lock knob anticlockwise up to lift the armrest.
MANUAL MODEL OPERATION
Press down inside on the clutch handle to keep the electromagnetic brake at the separation position.
This will allow the wheels to move freely so caregiver can push the chair.
If the user operates the chair without assistance, the electromagnetic brake must be at the engaged
position. Otherwise, the user will not have control over the chair.

JOYSTICK OPERATION
The joystick controls the Bruno Power Chair’s speed and direction;
•Power on: press to turn on the power
•Power off: press to turn off the power
•Power display: there are three colours of the LED lights. Green. Indicates power left in the
batteries.
•Speaker: Horn, that sounds when the user presses the button.
•Accelerate Max. Speed: press to adjust to higher speed.
•Decelerate Max. Speed: press to adjust to slower speed.
•Speed display: All lights on means it is set to max speed.
It is recommended you practice using the joystick control in a safe environment prior to heading
out in public.
•Moving Forwards: To move forward, push the joystick forward lightly; To stop, release the
joystick.
•Moving Backwards: The user must be aware of what is behind them before manoeuvring
backwards to avoid collisions, push the joystick backwards lightly.
•Turning: To turn, push the joystick to the left or right and be aware of what is to the left or
right to avoid collisions.
•Driving on bends: Lightly push the joystick in the direction of the bend. Practice speed
control.
•Practice avoiding obstacles: Lightly push the joystick in either direction to avoid and
manoeuvre around the obstacles, practice speed control.
•Driving Faster: Push the joystick all the way in the direction you want to go. Pull the joystick
back to the middle if you do not feel you are not 100% in control.
•Driving Uphill: Keep your body tilted forward to keep the centre of gravity stable. Drive
slowly. We recommend the slope be less than 9 degrees for optimal performance.
•Entering& Exiting elevator : The user should pay attention to the opening and closing
intervals of the elevator door to avoid collisions while entering or exiting the elevator
•Driving on sidewalks: The user should stay on the sidewalk and avoid entering the motor
vehicle lane unless to cross the street. Pay attention to obstacles and avoid contact with
them.
•Crossing the street: Pay attention to avoid cars and only cross when you are allowed to. Must
drive slowly over the curb, to get back on the sidewalk, which should not be more than 3cm
high.

CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
Charging Method (Controller Charging)
1. Turn the power OFF using the button on the controller.
2. Plug in the charger to the controller port (see below).
3. Plug the charger power harness into the charger and then into a grounded wall outlet.
4. Allow your chair to charge for 2 hours/battery (4 hours/ two batteries) or when the light on
the charger turns green, which means your batteries are fully charged.
5. Should you require them, the lights and what they mean are located on the back of the
charger.

RED – battery is charging.
GREEN – battery is fully charged; unplug from power.

Charging Method (Off-Board Charging Cable)
1. Turn the power OFF using the button on the controller.
2. Take the off-board charging cable from the bag under the seat. The plastic side is used to
connect the battery, and the metal side is used to connect the charger.
3. Connect the battery and off-board charging cable.
4. Press this metal button to connect this cable with charger.
5. Now you can plug the charger into the power supply and charge your batteries.

SAFE OPERATION
We believe this to be the most important section of your User Manual; how to safely operate the
Bruno Power Wheelchair. Please review this section thoroughly and contact your selling dealer if you
have any questions.
General Safety:
a) Adjust the Bruno Folding Power Chair to your personal comfort level as much as possible.
b) Take your time to learn how your Bruno Folding Power Chair works in a private space before
you begin operating around others.
c) Practice bending, reaching and transferring in and out of the Bruno Folding Power Chair.
d) Always be aware of your surroundings.
e) If you are not sure the Bruno Folding Power Chair can surpass an obstacle, try to find another
way around.
f) The Bruno Folding Power Chair is designed for a single user only; more than one user may
result in personal injury to you and others.
g) Make sure that electronic components such as the control panel, battery charger, and other
electronic controlled components avoid moisture. If these components come into contact
with moisture, dry before use.
h) The Bruno Folding Power Chair seat is designed for comfort, not specifically for pressure
relief; if you suffer from pressure sores, or if you are at risk that they will occur, please
consult your doctor.
Before using your Bruno Folding Power Chair:
a) Make sure the Bruno Folding Power Chair is operating smoothly.
b) Check for any unusual noises, vibrations, or a change in the ease of use; if you detect a
problem, use the tool kit to perform maintenance or get in touch with your service
professional.
c) Failing to maintain your Bruno Folding Power Chair could increase the risk of injury; get in
touch with your selling dealer so that they can help you find and correct the problem.
Getting into the Fold Power Wheelchair Bruno:
a) Before sitting, make sure the Bruno is turned OFF, this will ensure the Bruno will not move
upon touching the joystick.
b) Make sure the footrest is down.
c) Once on board, make sure your feet are safely on the footrest.
Driving the Fold Power Wheelchair Bruno:
a) Be alert to the danger of motor vehicles on roads or in parking lots.
b) At night or when it is hard to see, use reflective tape on your Bruno.
c) The Bruno is designed for use on firm, even surface such as concrete, asphalt or indoor floor.
d) Do not operate the Bruno in sand, loose soil or over rough terrain, which could damage
wheels, bearings, axles or motors, or loose fasteners.

Getting out of the Fold Power Wheelchair Bruno:
a) Make sure to bring the Bruno Folding Power Chair to a complete stop.
b) Turn off the Bruno Folding Power Chair to avoid accidentally operating the joystick and
moving the wheelchair.
c) Raise the armrest so that you can conveniently exit the wheelchair.
d) Carefully and safely get out of the seat.
Weight limited-Do not exceed or the warranty will be void:
a) Never exceed a total weight of 150kg, total for the rider plus items carried.
b) Exceeding the weight limited is likely to damage the seat, frame or fasteners and may cause
severe injury to you or others.
When transporting the Fold Power Wheelchair Bruno:
a) Never sit in the Bruno Folding Power Chair while in a moving vehicle; an accident or sudden
stop may cause you to be thrown from the electric wheelchair.
b) Never transport the Bruno Folding Power Chair in the front of seat of a vehicle where it may
shift and interfere with the driver.
c) Always secure the Bruno Folding Power Chair so that it cannot roll or shift when being
transported in a vehicle.
d) The Bruno Folding Power Chair is NOT approved to be used with any tie down system, which
is generally used to transport a seated user in a powered wheelchair in a motor vehicle.
PRECAUTIONS
CAUTION: OPERATE SAFELY
Do not operate the Bruno Folding Power Chair in water of any kind.
Do not operate the Bruno Folding Power Chair up or down staircases or escalators.
Do not operate the Bruno Folding Power Chair while on a moving vehicle such as a bus.
Do not lean your body to reach out of the Bruno, causing a balance issue.
Do not exceed the weight limited total of 160kg for rider plus any items.
Do turn off the Bruno Folding Power Chair when exiting the chair for safety.
Do practice driving the Bruno Folding Power Chair in a private, enclosed area.
Be aware of local regulations regarding operating the Bruno Folding Power Chair on a public road.
Modifying your Bruno Folding Power Chair in any way may void all warranties.
Do not expose the Bruno Folding Power Chair or batteries to extreme temperatures.

MAINTENANCE
It is important to perform regular maintenance of your Bruno Folding Power Chair for longevity and
warranty eligibility. Even a little cleaning now and again will go a long way to keep your device
looking and functioning like new.
Certified repair shops with trained professionals who specialize in electric wheelchairs and scooters
will be qualified to perform the service and maintenance on your Bruno Folding Power Chair should
the technician require parts, they should contact Top Gun Mobility to check availability.
We recommend you inspect your Bruno Folding Power Chair two or three times per year, paying
particular attention to the following areas:
1) Frame: Tighten loose screws as necessary using the tool kit included with your Bruno Fold
Power Wheelchair
2) Wheels: Make sure they rotate easily. Significant resistance may require new bearings
3) Armrest: Look for excessive wear or if they are loose
Replacement parts and more major maintenance issues should be performed by an authorised
professional.
Batteries
Use batteries that have been supplied by Top Gun Mobility only; our batteries are special lithium
batteries designed specifically for use in the Bruno Fold Power Wheelchair.
Read all battery instructions before attempting to change or charge batteries.
When you haven’t driven the Bruno Folding Power Chair for a long time, please charge the battery
every month to avoid the battery “hungry die”.
Fasteners
Many of the screws, bolts and nuts on the Bruno are special high-strength fasteners. Replacing these
fasteners with non-approved parts may cause your Bruno Folding Power Chair to result in faulty
operation and may cause harm to you or other people, therefore:
1. Use fasteners that have been supplied by Top Gun Mobility.
2. Using the tools included with your Bruno Fold Power Wheelchair, tighten any fasteners that
become loose as soon as possible.
Change and Adjustments
Never use non Bruno Folding Power Chair parts or make changes to your Bruno Folding Power Chair
unless authorized in writing by representative from our company. Doing so will void the warranty
and may create a safety hazard.
ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE
Powered vehicles such as the Bruno Folding Power Chair may be susceptible to electromagnetic
interference, which is interfering electromagnetic energy emitted from sources such as radio station,
TV station, amateur radio transmitters, two-way radios, and mobile phones.
The interference (from radio wave sources) can cause the Bruno Folding Power Chair to release its
brakes, move by itself, or move in unintended directions.

TRANSPORT & STORAGE
•To pick up the chair, stand it up when it is folded.
•Folded chair can be stored in the car trunk.
•The battery should be fully charged and the chair should be placed in cool, dry, and
ventilated place in case of the chair will long-term placement.
•Please, the battery needs to be charged once every three months; otherwise it could lead to
over-discharge damage.
WARRANTY
This is to certify that your TOP GUN MOBILITY product offers a limited 5 Year
Warranty from the date of original purchase. Should a defect or operating
fault arise within this period the Dealer, from where the product was
originally purchased, should be notified immediately. Failure to register the
fault may invalidate the warranty.
The Dealer from where the product was purchased is responsible for any
warranty repairs. Top Gun Mobility warrants that if a fault occurs within this
period due to faulty workmanship or materials that the product will be repaired (or replaced at the
Company’s discretion) free of charge. Any unauthorised modifications will invalidate the warranty.
Component parts replaced outside this period carry a six-month warranty. (Standard terms and
conditions apply for this period).
FIVE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
•Structural frame components, including: platform, fork, seat post, and frame welds.
•Drivetrain, including: differential, motor, and brake.
THREE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Your Top Gun Mobility Scooter is fully guaranteed for three (3) years from the date of purchase
against faults arising due to defects in manufacture or materials. This warranty does not detract
from, but is in addition to your legal rights.
All electronic parts, including controllers and battery chargers, have a one (1) year warranty.
Servicing to the controller or battery charger must be carried out by your authorised Top Gun
Mobility Provider. Any attempt to open or dismantle these items renders the guarantee void on that
item.
This warranty is valid for the replacement of dysfunctional parts only. Any parts under warranty will
be replaced and shipped to your door. Any service and labour fees, if applicable, to replace parts
under warranty must be paid by the user. Due to its straight forward design, most parts can be easily
exchanged by the end user without a professional service tech required. However, it is always
recommended you seek professional help for maintenance and service, to make sure the work is
down properly.

NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY
The guarantee does not extend to those items which may need replacement due to normal wear and
tear (tyres, belts, bulbs, upholstery, plastic shrouds, motor brushes, fuses, and batteries), or damage
to the product caused by misuse or accident for which Top Gun Mobility or its agent cannot be held
responsible. This warranty does not include service calls.
1. Products damaged by user negligence
2. Products damaged accidentally
3. Products damaged intentionally
4. Products that have been subjected to negligence
5. Products that have been subjected to abuse
6. Products that have been improperly stored
7. Products that have been improperly handled
8. Products that have been improperly operated.
9. Products that have experienced general misuse.
10. Products that have been modified in an unauthorized, unapproved way.
Warranty is non-transferable and only valid for the original wheelchair purchaser

Warranty service can be performed by an authorised Top Gun Mobility Provider. Please contact your
authorised Top Gun Mobility Provider for advice on the current cost affecting the service visit.
