FITTING GUIDE
1. Open the passenger side door and proceed to pull away the door trim from the pillar.
2. Using a set of panel removal tools, begin to pry away the pillar casing.
4. The DAB antenna not only has a self adhesive backing, but also features a black earth sheet. When
placing the DAB antenna, the earth sheet MUST be placed onto the metal part of the pillar. The antenna
itself must be located roughly 15cm from the top of the windscreen.
5. Once happy with the placement, take the 3m of wiring extension and feed it down through to the
stereo’s opening. With the wiring adjusted to the appropriate length, feel free to re-install the glovebox.
3. The glovebox will need to be dropped down to route the antennas wiring. To do this, remove 3x screws
located underneath, one on the side and the 4x screws inside the lip of the glovebox. Once free, drop
down and leave in the footwell.
1. Use a panel removal tool to release both the climate control and the air vent panelling which surrounds
the main radio.
2. With these panels removed, it will reveal 4x screws that will need to be removed.
3. Once free, pull the head unit out of the dashboard and disconnect all of the wiring in the process.
1. Take the steering wheel control interface in hand and connect both the 12-way stereo patch lead and
the 14-way steering wheel harness connectors to the corresponding sides.
1. Aach the brackets to the new stereo. These brackets allow you to set the specic depth of the unit in
relaon to the fascia plate. Start by lining up the spacerson the inside of the plates
.
2. Aach the spacer and plate combinaon to the corresponding side of the stereo using the screws that
come with the stereo. Test this set up outside of the dashboard by sliding into the radio cage.
3. Take the fascia in hand, and place it atop the caged radio combinaon. If the depth/alignment of the
stereo hangs out too much/is reccessed to far, use the radio removal keys to release the stereo
from the cage and repeat the process.
4. When you’re happy with the bracket alignment, you can proceed to install the fascia into the dashboard,
ulising the pre-exisng screws.
2. Connect the bullet connector from the stereo patch lead to the ‘steering wheel remote input’ on the
back of the new stereo.
3. Connect the DAB antenna’s SMB connector to the back of the new stereo.
