EmptyingtheGrassBags
Becarefulwhenliftingorhandlingagrassbagthatis
full.Toemptythegrassbags:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
2.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtothe
parkposition,stoptheengine,removethekey,and
waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.

Failingtoremovethefrontbaggerweights
andoperatingthemachinewithoutthebagger
attachmentmaycauseanunstablecondition
whichcouldresultinalossofcontrol.
•Alwaysremovethefrontweightswhen
removingthebaggerattachment.
•Neveroperatethemachinewithoutthe
baggerattachmentandthefrontweights
stillinstalled.
ThebaggercanberemovedbyrepeatingtheSetup
sectioninreverseorder.Alwaysremovethefront
baggerweightswhenremovingthebaggerattachments.
Note:Itisonlynecessarytoremovethecutoffbafe
wheninstallingamulchingkit.
OperatingTips
TipsforBagging
Size
Rememberthatthemowerislongerandwiderwiththis
attachmentinstalled.Byturningtoosharplyinconned
placesyoumaydamagetheattachment.
Trimming
Alwaystrimwiththeleftsideofthemower.Donot
trimwiththerightsideofthemowerbecauseyoucould
damagethebagger’schuteanddischargetube.
CuttingHeight
Donotsetthemowercuttingheighttoolowbecause
longgrasssurroundingthemowercanpreventairfrom
gettingunderthemowerandenteringthebagging
system.Ifenoughairdoesn’tgetunderthemower,the
baggingsystemwillplug.
CuttingFrequency
Cutthegrassoften,especiallywhenitgrowsrapidly.
Youwillhavetocutyourgrasstwiceifitgetsexcessively
long.
CuttingTechnique
Forbestlawnappearance,besuretoslightlyoverlap
themowerintothepreviouslycutarea.Thishelps
reducetheloadontheengineandreducesthechance
ofpluggingthechuteanddischargetube.
BaggingSpeed
Mostoftenyouwillbagwiththemowerthrottlein
theFastpositionanddriveatanormalgroundspeed.
However,inextremelydryanddustygrass,youmay
wanttoslightlyreducethethrottlespeedandincrease
thegroundspeedofthemower.Thebaggingsystem
mayplugifyoudrivetoofastandtheenginespeed
getstooslow.Onhillsitmaybenecessarytoslowthe
mowergroundspeed.Thishelpsmaintaintheengine
speedandbaggingefciency.Mowdownhillwhenever
possible.
Asthebaggerlls,extraweightisaddedto
thebackofthemachine.Ifyoustopandstart
suddenlyonhills,youmaylosesteeringcontrol
orthemachinemaytip.
•Donotstartorstopsuddenlywhengoing
uphillordownhill.Avoiduphillstarts.
•Ifyoudostopthemachinewhengoing
uphill,disengagethebladecontrol.Then
backdownthehillusingaslowspeed.
•Donotchangespeedsorstoponslopes.
•Neveroperatethemachinewithoutthe
baggerattachmentandthefrontweights
stillinstalled.
BaggingLongGrass
BaggingLongGrassExcessivelylonggrassisheavyand
maynotbepropelledcompletelyintothegrassbags.If
thishappens,thedischargetubeandchutemayplug.
Toavoidpluggingthebaggingsystem,mowthegrass
atahighheightofcut,thenlowerthemowertoyour
normalcuttingheightandrepeatthebaggingprocess.
BaggingWetGrass
Alwaystrytocutgrasswhenitisdrybecauseyour
lawnwillhaveaneatappearance.Ifyoumustcutwet
grass,usetheconventionalsidedischargefeatureofthe
mower.Severalhourslater,whentheclippingsaredry,
installthecompletebaggerattachmentandvacuumup
thegrassclippings.

Asyouarebagging,asmallamountofgrassclippings
normallyblowoutthefrontofthemower.Anexcessive
amountofclippingsblowingoutindicatesthatthebags
arefullorthesystemisplugged.

Conditions and Products CoveredThe Toro Company and its afliate, Toro Warranty Company,pursuant to an agreement between them, jointly promise torepair any Toro Product used for normal residential purposes*if defective in materials or workmanship. Limited Warranty for Commercial UseToro Consumer Products and attachments used for commercial,institutional, or rental use are warranted against defects inmaterials or workmanship for the following time periods from thedate of purchase:

Owner ResponsibilitiesYou must maintain your Toro Product by following themaintenance procedures described in the Operator’s Manual .Such routine maintenance, whether performed by a dealer or byyou, is at your expense.
Items and Conditions Not CoveredThere is no other express warranty except for special emissionsystem coverage on some products. This express warranty doesnot cover:
•Cost of regular maintenance service or parts, such as lters,fuel, lubricants, tune-up parts, blade sharpening, brake andclutch adjustments.
•Any product or part which has been altered or misusedor required replacement or repair due to normal wear,accidents, or lack of proper maintenance.
•Repairs necessary due to improper fuel, contaminants in thefuel system, or failure to properly prepare the fuel systemprior to any period of non-use over three months.
•Pickup and delivery charges to and from an Authorized ToroService Dealer.
General ConditionsAll repairs covered by this warranty must be performed by anAuthorized Toro Service Dealer using Toro approved replacementparts.
Repair by an Authorized Toro Service Dealer is your soleremedy under this warranty.
Neither The Toro Company nor Toro Warranty Companyis liable for indirect, incidental or consequentialdamages in connection with the use of the Toro Productscovered by this warranty, including any cost or expenseof providing substitute equipment or service duringreasonable periods of malfunction or non-use pendingcompletion of repairs under this warranty.
Some states do not allow exclusion of incidental orconsequential damages, so the above exclusion andlimitations may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specic legal rights, and youmay also have other rights which vary from state tostate.
