atelephone line
may
result in the devices
not
ringing in response to an incoming call. In
most
but not all areas, the
sum
of

RENs
should not exceed five (5.0).

may

connected to aline, as determined

the total RENs, contact your local telephone company.

DISASSEMBLE
THIS EQUIPMENT. It does not contain
any
user serviceable components.
We
recommend the installation
of
an
AC
surge arrester in the
AC
outlet to which this equipment is connected. Telephone companies report that
electrical surges, typically lighting transients, are very destructive to customer terminal equipment connected to AC
power
sources.
TELEPHONE LINE INTERRUPTION
Periodically, the SD-H400 dials in to the TiVo service via your telephone line.
If
you
pick
up your telephone during the time information is being
transferred,
you
will
hear
static noise.
If
you
would
like to use your telephone while the information is being transferred, you can hang up, wait about 5
seconds,
and
pick
up
your telephone again. The recorder will disconnect, and allow
you
to place your call.
You
can also interrupt the transfer at any
time
by
temporarily unplugging the phone line from the recorder.
If
the transfer is interrupted, it will resume
at
alater time.
