DIN RAIL MOUNTING
NOTE: The DIN rail mounting kit is
optional and is not included with the
Avocent ACS800 Advanced Console
System. For details on how to purchase
the DIN rail mounting kit, contact your
Vertiv representative.
Overview
The DIN rail mounting kit contains
two wall brackets and two DIN clips
for use with 35mm wide DIN rails. Wall
brackets may be used as either a left
or right bracket. DIN clips must be
installed in a matching orientation.
1. Attaching the brackets
to the console system
Remove the screws and brackets
from the ACS800 Advanced
Console System Wall Mount
Accessory Kit. Position each
bracket so its slotted ange is
located along the bottom edge
of the console system. Secure
the mounting brackets to the
console system using two (2) 6-32
panhead screws per bracket.
2. Attaching the DIN clips
to the installed wall bracket
Using the supplied screws, attach
the DIN clips to the bottom sides
of each wall bracket. Be sure to
orient the clips as shown in the
image.
3. Attaching the appliance
to the DIN rail
Position the appliance so that
the top of each DIN clip rests
on the top edge of the DIN rail.
Push the bottom of the appliance
rmly toward the wall until the
lower portion of the DIN clip fully
captures the bottom edge of the
DIN rail. You will hear a clicking
sound when the DIN clips fully
capture the DIN rail. Ensure each
DIN clip fully captures the DIN rail.
4. Securing the power cords
Plug the power cord into the
appliance. Slip the supplied cable
retention tie-wrap through the
hardware adjacent to the power
connector. Align the power cord
with the hardware and loosely
capture with the tie-wrap. Ensure
suicient slack exists between the
plug and the cable attachment
hardware, and cinch the
tie-wrap to secure the power cord.

WALL MOUNTING
NOTE: The wall mounting kit is
optional and is not included with the
Avocent® ACS800 Advanced Console
System. For details on how to purchase
the wall mounting kit, contact your Vertiv
representative.
Overview
Your wall mounting bracket kit
contains two brackets. Either may
be used as a left or right bracket. In
addition, the brackets may be attached
with the slots facing up or down.
Mount the brackets so that the front
face of the ACS800 Advanced Console
System is facing sideways and not
toward the oor or ceiling.
1. Attaching the brackets
to the console system
Remove the screws and brackets
from the ACS800 Advanced
Console System Wall Mount
Accessory Kit. Position each
bracket so its slotted ange is
located along the bottom edge
of the console system. Secure
the mounting brackets to the
console system using two (2) 6-32
panhead screws per bracket.
2. Mounting the brackets
to a plywood wall
Using the slots on the bracket as
a guide, mark the holes on the
wall where the brackets are to
be fastened. A minimum of two
holes for each bracket should be
marked. Use a 1/8-inch drill bit to
drill guide holes at the marked
positions. Secure each bracket to
the plywood wall with two (2) #8
x 1-inch long wood screws (not
included with the wall mounting
kit) for each bracket.
NOTE: Brackets may also be
mounted to sheetrock wall using
appropriate fasteners and installed
per manufacturer’s
instructions. Fasteners are not
included with the rack mount kit.
3. Securing the power cords
Plug the power cord into the
console system. Slip the supplied
cable retention tie-wrap through
the hardware adjacent to the
power connector. Align the power
cord with the hardware and loosely
capture with the tie-wrap. Ensure
suicient slack exists between the
plug and the cable attachment
hardware, and cinch the
tie-wrap to secure the power cord.

RACK MOUNTING
NOTE: The rack mounting kit is
optional and is not included with the
Avocent® ACS800 Advanced Console
System. For details on how to purchase
the rack mounting kit, contact your Vertiv
representative.
Overview
The rack mounting bracket kit contains
two brackets and a 1U rack shelf. Either
bracket may be used as left or right
bracket.
1. Attaching the brackets
to the console system
Remove the screws and brackets
from the ACS800 Advanced
Console System Wall Mount
Accessory Kit. Position each
bracket so its slotted ange is
located along the bottom edge and
its slotted face is positioned under
the console system. Secure the
mounting brackets to the console
system using two (2) 6-32 panhead
screws per bracket.
2. Attaching the console system
to the shelf.
Place the console system upside
down on a work surface. Remove
the rack mount shelf from the
accessory kit box and place it
upside down on top of the console
system. Align the countersink screw
holes on the shelf with the mating
holes in the slotted brackets on the
console system. Secure the console
system to the shelf with two (2)
6-32 athead screws for each
bracket.
3. Securing the power cords
Plug the power cord into the
console system. Slip the supplied
cable retention tie-wrap through
the hardware adjacent to the power
connector. Align the power cord
with the hardware and loosely
capture with the tie-wrap. Ensure
suicient slack exists between the
plug and the cable attachment
hardware, and cinch the
tie-wrap to secure the power cord.
4. Installing the console system
into the rack
Place the power supply on the read
of the shelf behind the console
system, then place the shelf in the
desired 1U rack space and secure it
with two (2) rack mounting screws
in each shelf ear. Conrm the shelf
is level and does not interfere with
adjacent equipment, then tighten
the screws.
NOTE: Rack mounting screws are not
provided with the rack mounting kit.
Ensure you use screws appropriate for
your rack.
