1. Introduction
This manual contains all the necessary information on the installation and operation of the
support blocks.
Some of the maintenance operations should only be carried out byprofessional technicians.
Ifyou require this information and the maintenance steps, please contactyour dealer.
Also included in this manual are a numberof safety instructions to create a safe working
environment.
These support blocks are designed to support rated capacity, partial vehicle loads consisting
of one end of avehicle.The support blocks are foruniversal use.Check your machine manual to
see what the weight ofyourvehicle is. Do not exceed the maximum working load limit of these
support blocks.Do not use these support blocks forany purpose otherthan the support of a
raisedvehicle. Neveruse them to support any structure orbuilding. Do not support anyhuman
load.
Please read the manual thoroughly and observe the safetyprocedures before putting the unit
into operation.The operator and all persons who come into contact with the equipment should
read it carefully and regularly and have access to it at all times.
Keep this manual near the equipment and in a safe place for future reference!
Contact your dealer for any further questions or concerns you may have.
We hope youwill enjoyworking with your support blocks.
Ifyou wish to use these support blocks in extreme conditions such as extreme heat,
extreme cold, extreme drought, etc.,please contact your dealerto discuss whetherthis
product is suitable for the activities you wish to undertake with the support blocks

These support blocks may be unsafe if adequate maintenance is neglected.Therefore,
adequate maintenance facilities,trained personnel and procedures should be provided.
Maintenance and inspection must conform to the following practices:
1. A scheduled planned maintenance and inspection system should be followed.(See
maintenance instructions chapter7)
2. Only qualified and authorised personnel shall be permitted to maintain and inspect
the support blocks.
3. Modifications and additions which affect capacityand safe operation shall
not be performed by the customer or userwithout the manufacturer’s prior
written approval. Capacity, operation and maintenance plates shall be changed
accordingly.
4. If modifications are madewithout written approval of the manufacturer,warrantywill
no longer apply.
Any person in charge of putting the product into operation,the operation itself or
the maintenance of the product is urged to carefully read and observe the following
instructions.
Make sure that the operators of this product are familiarwith the safety instructions and
followall the procedures.Neglecting these instructions can risk injuryor death.
We guarantee a long period of trouble-free operation ifthe unit is operated and
maintained correctly.

3. Safety instructions
3.1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATING THE PRODUCT
• TVH Parts NVcannot envisage each possible circumstance that may result in danger.
Therefore,the warnings given in this publication and those on the equipment are
not exhaustive. In the event that equipment, procedures,work methods orworking
techniques are used that are not specifically advised bythe TVH Parts NVcompany,
it is necessary to make sure that there is no danger to the operatoror other people.
• Study, understand and follow all instructions before operating this equipment.
• Do not exceed the rated capacity, be aware of dynamic loading.
• Use onlyon hard,level surfaces.
• Centre the load.
• Ensure that the support blocks are in correct position in relation to the vehicle.
This means that the support blocks should be placed as wide apart as possible to
maximise their load capacity.
• In the event ofunsafe use,limbs or persons can get stuckbetween the vehicle and
the support blocks.
• No alterations shall be made to this product.
• Use wheel chocks orother blocking devices on opposingwheels before using the
support blocks.
• Do not move thevehicle while it’s on support blocks.
• The user and/or other persons who come into contactwith the support blocks or the
vehicle mustwear safetygloves and safety shoes at all times.
• Others who are not working on the vehicle must keep a minimum distance of0.5 m
from the vehicle.
Inspect before everyuse. Examine the support blocks forcracks ordamage before
each use.Do not use if even a minor crack, bend or other damage/deformation is found.
Discard the support blocks if damaged ordeformed.
The person responsible for the use of the product must make sure that all of the safety
rules in force in the country of its use are applied,to guarantee that the equipment is
used in conformitywith the use forwhich it is destined and to avoid anydangerous
situation forthe user.
Do not operate the product unlessyou are of age.

4. Transport and storage
1. Storage
• Store the support blocks in a clean environment,preferablyindoors and in a dry area, to
protect the support blocks from long-term exposure to moisture.
• If the equipment is stored outdoors,make sure that the support blocks are protected against
moisture and rain.
• Avoid direct sunlight.
2. Transport
Ifyou want to move the support blocks, use both hands to carrythem.
Ifyou want to move the support blocks with a caror truck, make sure that the support blocks
are fixed and cannot move freely.You can do this by securing the support blocks with a belt or
byplacing them in a container or box.

5. Assembly and installation

5.2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION OF THE
PRODUCT
• A damaged or malfunctioning product must never be used. If damage ormalfunctions
are discovered during pre-operation inspection orfunction tests, the product must
be tagged and removed from service.
• Use the support blocks onlyon hard level surfaces.Uneven or sloped surfaces create
dangerousworking conditions and can seriously obstruct the function of the support
blocks.
• Onlywhen the person who has safely placed the support blocks gives the sign that
the installation has been completed,work on thevehicle can begin.
• When the support blocks are in properposition, set thevehicle’s parking brake or
emergency brake.
• Do not support human load.
• Do not support animal load.
• Use wheel chocks on all unliftedwheels to make sure the vehicle is stable.
• Turn the vehicle ignition off.
• Position the support blocks as wide as possible so that there is maximum carrying
capacity.
• The operator must wear safety gloves and safetyshoes.
• Others who are not working on the vehicle must keep a minimum distance of0.5 m
from the vehicle.
• The person responsible for assembling and/or installing the battery changing beam
must wear safety gloves and safetyshoes at all times.
• Before installing the product, check that there is no damage to the product.
• Before using the battery changing beam,carefullyread the forklift truck manual and
check that theweight of the batterychanging beam is suitable for the forklift truck.

6. Operation
6.1. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Carry out the dailymaintenance check listed in chapter7.
1. Lifting
1. Apply the emergency brake.
2. Use wheel chocks on all unlifted wheels to make sure the
vehicle is stable.
3. Lift the vehicle with the appropriate jack
4. Once at the correct height,carefully position the support
blocks underthe vehicle in the designated places. Place the
support blocks on each side of the jack.
The support blocks should be as widely spaced as possible! Ifyou place the support
blocks too close together,the vehicle has a greaterchance of falling over.

5. Make sure that the load is centred on the support blocks.
6. Stack the blocks on top of each other. Make sure that the top
block is as close to thevehicle as possible.
7. Slowlylower thevehicle onto the support blocks.
2. Lowering
1. Carefully raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the support blocks.
3. Slowly lower the vehicle completely.
4. Remove the wheel chocks.

7. Maintenance
7.1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE REPAIR OF THE PRODUCT
• Do not attempt to repair the product unless you are trained and authorised to do so.
• Repairs to the product may only be made bya qualified service technician and
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• The person carrying out the maintenance must wear safetygloves and safetyshoes
at all times.
• Others who are not working on the vehicle must keep a minimum distance of0.5 m
from the vehicle.
7.2. MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

7.3. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Inspect for damage or cracks
A daily checkof the support blocks can limitwear to a minimum:
• Ensure that the instruction manual is complete,legible and available for reference.
• Check the entire product for: damage,corrosion orcracks in structural components.
This maintenance may be carried out by the operator.
2. Cleaning
Depending on howoften and in what circumstances you use the support blocks, it is
recommended that you clean them daily.
If the support blocks come into contact with oil orbrake fluids,they should be cleaned daily.
This maintenance may be carried out by the operator.

8. Final decommissioning and disposal
Final, proper decommissioning or disposal of the product must be performed in accordance
with the regulations of the country inwhich the product is used. In particular, regulations
governing the disposal of batteries,fuels and electronic and electrical systems must be
observed.
Waste packaging should be sorted and put into solid dustbins according to the materials and
needs to be collected by the local special environment protection bureau.
To avoid pollution,it’s forbidden to throwawaythe waste randomly.To avoid pollution during the
use of the product, the user should prepare some absorbing materials (scraps ofwood or dry
dustercloth) to absorb leaking fluids in time.To avoid secondary pollution to the environment,
the used absorbing materials should be handed in at special departments of local authorities.
