When your hands are full, the available power rear
door opens and closes via the remote keyless entry
or available Smart Key fob. It even features a one
second jam protection delay between the door
reaching the bottom position and fully closing.
SLIDING SECOND CONSOLE
To sync up with the long sliding range of the
second-row seats, Sienna XLE features a centre
console that expands and slides rearward.
STOWABLE CENTRE PASSENGER SEAT
On 8-passenger models, the versatile centre seat in
the second-row folds upright to form a comfortable
seat. Or it can be removed and stored in its storage
compartment, leaving captain’s chairs and two
additional cupholders.

Depending on your seat configuration,
the cargo volume can be adjusted
from 1110 litres (39 cu.ft.)all the way
up to 4250 litres (150 cu.ft.). The
second-row middle seat can also be
folded up and stored in the cargo area.

advanced airbags, electric power steering and
a list of standard safety features, you and your

A. SEATBELTS
Sienna features a 3-point Emergency Locking
Retractor seatbelt for the driver’s seat and
Automatic/Emergency Locking Retractors for
all passenger belts.
B. SIDE-IMPACT DOOR BEAMS
Within each of Sienna’s four doors are steel beams
designed to help protect the occupants in the event
of a side-impact collision.
C. LATC H
Short for Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children,
LATCH includes lower anchors on outboard
second-row seats and the middle seat in the
third row.
D. RAIN-SENSING WIPERS
The available rain-sensing wipers use sensors
to detect when it’s raining and the amount of
rainfall, then adjusts the wiper interval and speed
automatically so that you can concentrate on
the road, not the windshield.
E. REAR CLEARANCE AND BACKUP SONAR
To assist during parking manoeuvres, the
available rear clearance sonar helps you
gauge the area in a parking space. For added
convenience, the Limited Package oers
an additional front sonar.
F. HIGHINTENSITY DISCHARGE HID
HEADLAMPS
The available HID headlamps use less
power, last significantly longer and provide
considerably more illumination than
halogen lights.

WITH REAR CROSS-TRAFFIC ALERT10
The available Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)9
with Rear Cross-Trac Alert (RCTA)10 uses
radar technology to help you identify
vehicles that may not be visible when
changing lanes or backing out of a parking
space. When a vehicle is detected, a warning
indicator illuminates on the appropriate
side-view mirror.

coupling positioned at the front of the rear
dierential, Sienna’s All-Wheel Drive (AWD)
system uses information sent from various
sensors to transmit only the necessary
amount of torque to the front and rear
wheels. Sienna is also the only minivan

Helps prevent slips and loss of traction by reducing
engine power and applying the brake force to the
wheels that need it.6
TRACTION CONTROL
Helps maintain traction on wet, icy, loose or uneven
surfaces by applying brake force to the spinning
wheel(s).
ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM
Prevents brakes from locking up by “pulsing” brake
pressure to each wheel to help you stay in control in
emergency braking situations.
ELECTRONIC BRAKEFORCE DISTRIBUTION
Redistributes brake force to help keep the rear wheels
from locking up during sudden braking situations.
BRAKE ASSIST
Detects sudden or “panic” braking and adds the full
pressure needed to help prevent a collision.7
SMART STOP TECHNOLOGY
Smart Stop Technology is designed to reduce engine
power when the brake is firmly applied helping to bring
the vehicle to a stop, even if the accelerator pedal is
fully depressed.8

If the driver applies excessive pressure
to the accelerator, Traction Control
helps prevent wheel slippage on all
kinds of surfaces.
GRAVEL SURFACE
No matter the surface of the road,
standard Electronic Brake-Force
Distribution optimizes the amount
of brake force sent to each wheel.
Sensors read the vehicle load in
Sienna and send the appropriate
brake force to each wheel.
WET SURFACE
The computer-controlled Anti-Lock
Brake System modulates the brake
pressure when braking hard or when
braking on a slippery surface, helping
to avoid wheel lockup and maintain
steering control.
SLUSHY SURFACE
In winter conditions, Vehicle Stability
Control6helps prevent the vehicle
from slipping sideways as a result
of losing traction while driving,
cornering or stopping.
