Always observe he following precauions o minimize he risk of serious personal injury or damage o your vehicle:Always observe he following precau ions o minimize
he risk of serious personal injury or damage o your

•In a rollover crash, an unbel ed person is significan ly
more likely o die han a person wearing a sea bel .
Therefore, he driver and all passengers should fas en
heir sea bel s whenever he vehicle is moving.
•Avoid sharp urns or abrup maneuvers, if a all
possible. Failure o opera e his vehicle correc ly may
resul in loss of con rol or vehicle rollover causing
dea h or serious injury.
•Loading cargo on he roof luggage carrier will make he
cen er of he vehicle gravi y higher. Avoid high speeds,
sudden s ar s, sharp urns, sudden braking or abrup
maneuvers; o herwise, i may resul in a loss of abil y
o opera e his vehicle correc ly.
•Always slow down in gus y crosswinds. Because of i s
profile and higher cen er of gravi y, your vehicle is
more sensi ive o side winds han an ordinary
passenger car. Slowing down will allow you o have
be er con rol.
•When driving off-road or in rugged errain, do no drive
a excessive speeds, jump, make sharp urns, s rike
objec s, e c. This may cause loss of con rol or vehicle
rollover causing dea h or serious injury. You are also
risking expensive damage o your vehicle’s suspension
and chassis.
•Do no drive horizon ally across s eep slopes. Driving
s raigh up or s raigh down is preferred. Your vehicle

much more easily han forward or backward.
24
SAFETY AND EMERGENCY FEATURES
This vehicle will handle and maneuver differen ly from an
ordinary passenger car because i is also designed for off-road
use. I has a higher ground clearance and higher cen er of
gravi y han an ordinary passenger car. This vehicle design
fea ure causes his ype of vehicle o be more likely o roll
over. U ili y vehicles have a significan ly higher rollover ra e
han o her ypes of vehicles.
An advan age of he higher ground clearance is a be er view
of he road allowing you o an icipa e problems. However, i
is no designed for cornering a he same speeds as ordinary
passenger cars any more han low-slung spor s cars are
designed for off-road use. Therefore, sharp urns a excessive
speeds may cause rollover.
Failure o opera e his vehicle correc ly may resul in loss of
con rol, acciden s or vehicle rollover causing dea h or
serious injury. Be sure o read your Owner’s Manual for more
