Start ng your veh cle
Light: Red: No start/Green: Engine start.
For details of restrictions and operating conditions, please read carefully
Chapter 2-4 in you Owner’s Manual.
For vehicles without smart entry key positions are as
follows:
1. Lock:- The steering wheel is locked and the key can be removed.
2. ACC:- Some electrical equipment such as audio can be used.
3. On:- All electrical equipment can be used.
4. Start:- Starts the engine.
For vehicles with smart entry :
1. The driver should carry the key on his person.
2. The Engine Start Stop button is used to start the vehicle.
Starting procedure:
Ensure hand brake is applied.
Put gear lever to the neutral position.
Press and hold the clutch pedal firmly.
Press the “ENG NE START STOP” switch.
Start the engine.
NB For diesel vehicles:
The engine should not
be started until
the indicator
light goes out.
Stop & Start system ( f equ pped)
This vehicle is fitted with a “Stop & Start” function that allows the automatic stopping and starting of the engine.
This function helps you to decrease the fuel consumption.
Stopping the engine
First put the shift lever in the neutral position when stationary, and release
the clutch pedal. The engine will then stop. Next with the engine stopped,
if the clutch pedal is pressed, the engine will start again.
The “ECO” indicator will light up in the instrument cluster when the engine
has stopped.
A buzzer will sound as a warning when the following operations are done:
1. The shift is put into a gear position without the clutch pedal being
pressed when the engine is stopped.
2. The driver’s door is opened when the engine has stopped temporarily.
Restarting the engine
Check that the shift lever is in “N” and depress the clutch pedal, the engine
will re-start and the “ECO OFF” indicator will come on but when the vehicle
starts moving, it will go off.
f you should want to disable the system, press “ECO OFF” switch.
