Key Areas:
1. Power Button/Enter: A. Turns device
ON/OFF when held down for two seconds.
B. Selects highlighted item on the menu.
2. Check-In: This button sends a Check-in to
the platform
3. LED Lights: The LED on the top left corner
of the device flashes once every five
seconds when Track On/Off is enabled and
the device sleeps (in between tracking
reports). The LED turns solid green when
Emergency mode is enabled regardless of
whether the device is on or off. The LED
can be turned off for either of these two
cases to save battery power using this LED
option.
4. Panic Button: To activate a panic alarm
the user should press and hold the panic
button for 2 seconds. When pressed, the
emergency LED turns solid green and the
top and bottom bars on the screen turns red.
5. USB Port: Used to charge the battery.
If you are having issues with your PLMLP II we recommend checking:
1. Has the PMLP II had a full 5 hours charge?
2. Are you using the PMLP II in a built up area? Any satellite unit must have a clear line of sight to the
sky to be functional.
3. Is the PMLP II battery LED a steady green? If it is flashing, this indicates it is low on battery.
4. If the location is not showing or is wrong please check the device settings by following the below
instructions:
a. Reset the unit to defaults- Homescreen>Settings>Reset>Yes
b. Erase messages in memory-Homescreen>Settings>Memory>Clear All
c. Set tracking to ‘on’- Homescreen>Tracking>Track on/off>Enable Tracking
d. Set tracking to 2 minutes interval- Homescreen>Tracking>Report Rate>2 Min (for testing)
e. Change message format to 30 bytes- Tracking> Format>Full, 30 Bytes
f. Reset Ephemeris- Home Screen > Utilities > Check GPS > Reset Ephemeris
