LOW BATTERY WARNING
Repeated beeping during an opening indicates that the battery is low and needs immediate
replacement.
Always use one QUALITY 9-volt alkaline battery. LA GARD recommends replacing the
battery annually.
CHANGING THE BATTERY
1. Remove the screw in the black cover located at the bottom of the keypad to expose the
battery compartment.
2. The connector is easily removed by unsnapping it from the two terminals on the top of the
battery. CAUTION! Hold onto battery terminal to avoid pulling wires from housing!
3. Remove the 9 volt alkaline battery and replace with a new quality 9 volt alkaline battery.
4. Once the battery is replaced, make sure there are no cables or wires trapped between the
keypad, black cover or the safe door. Pinched cables or wires can result in a short circuit.
5. Replace the black cover with the screw to hold the battery in place.
