Your Tradeflame Lithium Ion Soldering Kit 219145 is a very safe tool and
complies with all the relevant safety regulations in Australia. Nevertheless,
like all electrical appliances, it must be handled with care. Read all safety
warnings, instructions, illustrations and specications provided with this
Tradeame Lithium Ion Soldering Kit. Failure to follow all instructions listed
below may result in electric shock, and/or serious injury. Never forget that the
tip and heater can reach high temperatures. Follow these simple safety rules
at all times. Keep Tradeame Lithium Ion Soldering Kit out of reach of children.
This is not a toy and not intended for use by children 12 years old or younger
without adult supervision. Keep your Tradeame Lithium Ion Soldering Kit well
away from all ammable material. To avoid burns, always assume that the tip
is hot. Be sure the hot soldering tip and heater does not come into contact with
the electric power cord. Before making any adjustment (removing or replacing
a tip, etc.) make sure the Tradeame Lithium Ion Soldering Kit is unplugged /
switched off and cool. Do not dip the Tradeame Lithium Ion Soldering Kit into
any liquid. Always work in a well-ventilated area. After use, unplug/switch off
the Tradeame Lithium Ion Soldering Kit, allow the tip to cool, and store in a
safe place. Safety goggles are recommended for preventing hot materials from
injuring eyes. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
WORK AREA SAFETY
zKeep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
zDo not operate Lithium Ion Soldering Kit in explosive atmo-liquids, gases or
dust. Lithium Ion Soldering Kits create sparks which may ignite the dust or
fumes.

zStay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating
a Lithium Ion Soldering Kit. Do not use a Lithium Ion Soldering Kit while you
are tired/distracted or under the inuence. A moment of inattention while
operating a Lithium Ion Soldering Kit may result in serious personal injury.
zUse personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearing
protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
zPrevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position
before picking up or carrying the Lithium Ion Soldering Iron.
zDo not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables

clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair
can be caught in moving parts.

of a second.

USE AND CARE
zDo not force the Lithium Ion Soldering Kit. Use the correct Soldering Iron for
your application. The correct Lithium Ion Soldering Kit will do the job better
and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
zDisconnect the plug from the power source and/or turn off the battery,
from the Lithium Ion Soldering Kit before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing Lithium Ion Soldering Kit. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the Lithium Ion Soldering Kit
accidentally.
zStore idle Lithium Ion Soldering Kit out of the reach of children and do
not allow persons unfamiliar with the Lithium Ion Soldering Kit or these
instructions to operate the Lithium Ion Soldering Kit. Lithium Ion Soldering Kit
are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
zMaintain Lithium Ion Soldering Kit and accessories. Check for misalignment

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR LITHIUM ION SOLDERING KITS
zContact with a hot tip could ignite ammable materials. Contact with a hot
tip could ignite a re.
zWhile in use do not stand or store Lithium Ion Soldering Iron on its side.
Lithium Ion Soldering Iron could tip resulting in contact between hot tip and
ammable materials. Always set/store Lithium Ion Soldering Kit on stand
provided
zDo not place Lithium Ion Soldering Iron in coil stand.
zKeep hands clear of the tip serious burns can occur if skin contacts tip
zWork in well ventilated areas, as Lithium Ion Soldering Iron can produce
fumes and smoke.
zUse personal protective equipment when using
zThis Lithium Ion Soldering Kit is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
zTo reduce the risk of re, personal injury, and product damage due to a
short circuit, never immerse your Lithium Ion Soldering Iron, battery pack or
charger in uid or allow a uid to ow inside them. Corrosive or conductive
uids, such as seawater, certain industrial chemicals, and bleach or bleach-
containing products etc., can cause a short circuit.
zTo reduce the risk of injury, always wear safety goggles or glasses with side
shields. Keep hands and ngers behind nger guard. Serious burns could
occur if skin contacts a hot tip.)
CHANGING THE TIP
Ensure the tip is cool and Lithium Ion Soldering Iron is switched off before
touching the tip as serious burns could occur to skin if touched.
1. Unscrew the tip by rotating locking nut counter-clockwise direction
2. Screw in new tip rotating locking nut clockwise (Fig.1)- making sure not to
over tighten

GETTING STARTED
1. Set up a safe work area.
2. Have a reproof container like a glass dish or metal lid to hold your various
tips while they are cooling
3. Slide on/off switch to on position (Fig.2)
4. Press and hold the Power Button. The LED light will illuminate indicating the
iron is on. Allow tip to reach working temperature (about 8 seconds)
5. Apply a small amount of solder to tapered surface of tip.
6. Tin wires by heating the bare ware and allowing a small amount of solder to
ow onto the tip of the wire
7. Touch the tapered surface of the tip (not the point) to the joint to be soldered.
Heat joint and allow heat form joint to melt solder.
8. Allow a small amount of solder to ow into the joint
9. To ensure a strong joint, do not touch or move the joint until it has cooled
completely.
NOTE: The tip assembly can be turned to any desired angle by turning black
Knurled Nut. Use pliers to adjust to avoid touching tip
CHARGING
1. Connect the Type C USB connector to the Micro USB port at the end of the
Soldering Iron
2. Connect USB A connector to a computer USB A port or USB A wall charger
zCharge battery for at least 3.5 hours before use
zThe LED indicator light will turn to green when fully charged (Fig. 3)
