
Before first use, the Transcend
PowerAway P8 battery needs to be
fully charged.
1. Remove the battery from its
packaging.
2. Plug the end of the AC Power
Supply cord into the PowerAway
P8 battery.
3. Plug the AC Power Supply into
an AC outlet. The battery will
begin to charge automatically. It
may take up to eight (8) hours
to charge the battery.
Once the battery is fully charged, it is
ready for use with your Transcend
CPAP device. A fully charged battery
is indicated when the LED light on the
battery turn green.
To use the Transcend PowerAway
P8
battery, connect the battery outlet
cable to your c
ompatible Transcend
CPAP device by inserting the barrel
connector from the Transcend
PowerAway P8 battery into the power
jack on the Transcend CPAP device.
Do not connect the battery to
your Transcend CPAP device during
the initial charge.
The CPAP draws
power from the battery while
connected. If the battery is not used
in line with the AC power supply,
unplug the battery from the CPAP
when not in use
A steady red light signifies
a fault with the battery. Do not use or
ch
arge the battery when the red LED
light is showing. Contact the CPAP
device supplier who provided the
battery to you for a replacement.
The battery will show a red
LED light for two seconds when it is
first plugged in.

or green LED light when it is used in

line with the Power Supply.
The battery will show no LED
light when it is used as the sole
power source to power the Transcend
Micro.
Battery
•DO NOT immerse battery in
water or cleaning solution.
•Wipe the surface with a dry, lint-
free cotton cloth.
•For long term storage, which is
any duration of time greater
than three months, the battery
should be:
oStored at a temperature
above -20C/-4F but below
20C/68F.
o
Stored in a dry location with
a relative humidity below
70%.
oStored with a 30-40%
charge.
•PowerAway P8: the charging
time to get to 30% when the
battery is depleted is 2 hours.
