TRC WARRANTY
TRC warrants that its devices are ree rom de ects in materials and workmanship or a period o one year rom the date o original purchase. This
one year warranty is in lieu o all other warranties, obligations, or liabilities expressed or implied by the company. Any properly installed device that
proves de ective in normal use will be repaired or replaced at TRC’s option provided the procedure as stated below is ollowed:
Contact TRC Customer Support at 1-800-780-4324 to obtain a Return Materials Number.
Properly package returned unit.
Display Return Materials Number on outside o box.
Include Proo o Purchase, including date o purchase.
Supply ull written description o the problem.
Speci y your name, address, and daytime phone number.
Ship unit postage prepaid directly to:

Warranty is void i the device has been opened, altered, misused and/or abused in any way.
TRC cannot assume responsibility or customer alterations, acts o God, or any other actors not under the control o TRC.
TRC cannot assume responsibility or damage in handling o shipment.
TRC shall have no responsibility or installation o this device or or any personal injury, property damage, any incidental, contingent, or
consequential damages o any kind resulting in de ects or ailure o the unit to unction in the event o a ground ault in the circuit it is protecting.
Implied warranties (i any) including but not limited to implied warranties o itness or a particular purpose and merchantability, are limited in
duration to a period ending one year rom the date o original customer purchase. The exclusive remedy or breach o the limited warranty
contained herein is the repair or replacement o the de ective product at TRC’s option. In no case shall TRC’s liability under any other remedy
prescribed by law exceed the purchase price. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation o incidental or consequential damages or allow
disclaimers or modi ications o or limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty
gives you speci ic legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary rom state to state.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS – MODEL 44750
Plug the Surge Guard Model 44750 into an approved
120V/30A RV power receptacle.
Press and release the reset button. Veri y that the Green
light is visible.* This indicates power is available to the RV.
Press the test button. Veri y that the Green light is not
visible.
Press and release the reset button. Veri y that the Green
light is visible.
Power is available. Operate equipment in your RV normally.
WARNING
I the unit with contacts closed ails to trip when test button
is pressed (Green light ails to extinguish), the device is not
operating properly and should be returned to the point o
purchase or replacement (see warranty in ormation).
I the product tests properly without a load applied, but trips
each time the RV load is applied, a current leakage exists
and should be repaired or replaced as soon as possible (see
warranty in ormation). DO NOT BYPASS THE SURGE
GUARD IF THIS CONDITION OCCURS. A REAL SHOCK
HAZARD MAY EXIST.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The Surge Guard Model 44750 will provide protection even i
there is a break in the ground wire in the supply power circuit
or the internal circuit in the RV.
CAUTION
Do not connect any electrical cord longer than 250 eet to
the Surge Guard to avoid the possibility o nuisance tripping.
This device is to be used on electrical distribution systems
120V/30A (RV30) 60Hz only.
Ground ault circuit interrupters do not protect against
electrical shock resulting rom contact with both line and
neutral wires o the electrical circuit.
The Surge Guard Model 44750 is designed as a protective
device, do not use as an “on and o ” switch.
*I the unit is in the reset condition when plugged into the power
receptacle, then the green light will be immediately visible.
TROUBLESHOOTING
RV’s, new and old, can have loose, aulty or even incorrect
wiring which could be potentially dangerous. In the event there
is a leakage o current caused by one or more o the above
conditions, the Surge Guard Model 44750 will cut the low o
electricity. Should this happen, ollow the procedures below to
isolate the cause; however, TRC recommends that all electrical
repairs be done by a certi ied technician.
Unplug the RV rom the Surge Guard and push the reset
button. I the unit trips immediately a ter reset, the problem
is in the Surge Guard and it should be returned or repair or
replacement (see warranty in ormation). However, i the
Surge Guard holds the set, continue on to step 2.
Turn o all the RV circuit breakers and plug the RV power
cord into the Surge Guard. I the unit trips, the problem is in
the cord and/or the connection supplying the RV. However,
i the unit does not trip continue to step 3.
Turn on each circuit breaker one at a time until the Surge
Guard trips. You have now isolated a circuit with leakage.
Unplug all appliances connected to the bad circuit and reset
the circuit breaker and the Surge Guard. I the unit trips,
then the problem is in the RV wiring. Should the Surge
Guard not trip, see step 5.
Plug in each appliance until the Surge Guard trips. The
appliance that causes the trip has a current leakage and
should be repaired or replaced.
