Treasure Cove Vibra-Phone 280 User manual

Thank you for choosing the New Vibra-Phone 280
made by Treasure Products, Inc. Now you’re
ready to enjoy the freedom of never having to
wear headphones again!
The New Vibra-Phone 280 takes the output from
the headphone jack of your metal detector and
converts that sound into vibration. This will allow
you to feel your detectors signaling instead of
having to hear it.
It’s designed for those that have difficulty hearing
tones and whistles or are just tired of wearing
headphones.
Note: The Vibra-Phone is not waterproof and
should not be submersed or exposed to water.

Use the included Hook & Loop Strap to tightly wrap the
Vibra-Phone to the pole of your detector (See image).
Alternative Placement
• Place it in your pocket for easy carrying.
• Hold it in free hand for quick sensitivity adjustments.

Plug one end of the cable into the Vibra-Phone.
Route any excess cable through the mounting strap
or wrap it around your detector pole. Plug the other

If your detector is producing sound, and there is
no vibration from the Vibra-Phone, you’ll want to
use the included Mono Adapter.

Adjustments
Sensitivity
You can adjust how sensitive the Vibra-Phone is to
the tones your detector generates. Set the Sensitivity
level so that you can feel a pulse of vibration each
time your detector detects an object, or each time
your detector generates a tone.
The sensitivity is adjusted by rotating the ‘Sensitivity’
knob. For maximum sensitivity, rotate the knob to
the full clockwise position.
For detectors with a ‘Threshold Sound’, adjust the
sensitivity up until you feel the vibration from the
threshold, then back it off until the vibration stops.
Pulse Width
Adjusting the Pulse Width will vary the length of time
a vibration lasts. This is how long the pulse of
vibration will be for each tone that your detector
generates.
If your detector has short sharp tones when a target
is detected, you may not feel them when they are
converted to vibration. To remedy this, you can
adjust the Pulse Width, or length of vibration, so that
you don’t miss these tones.
The Pulse Width adjustment is done by turning the
pot. Rotating the pot clockwise will shorten the
vibration. Rotating the pot counterclockwise will
lengthen the vibration.
Once you’ve adjusted the pot to your liking, you
should not have to change this adjustment again.

Product Care
• Remember to turn the Sensitivity knob to the OFF
position when not in use to conserve battery life.
• When the Vibra-Phone is off there is no drain on
the battery. However, if stored for long periods of
time, we recommend removing the battery to prevent
damage to the unit due to a potential battery leak.
