1. Unlock and remove the motorcycle seat. Remove the tool kit.
2. Disconnect the motorcycle battery, negative lead (black) first.

3. On all except Tiger, remove the body side panels from the frame as follows:
a. Unbolt the grab rail (where fitted).
b. Remove the screws securing the side panels to the frame. The side panels are further retained by 4 "push
fit" bayonets on both sides which locate into grommets in the frame. To detach the side panels, support the
panels and gently pull each bayonet horizontally from its grommet.
On Tiger, remove the screws securing the seat end cap to the frame/body and remove the end cap.
Release the screws securing the right hand lower fairing panel to the fuel tank and cockpit. Remove the
panel.

Tiger:
To mount the speaker, position in the retaining band with the speaker cone facing to the
rear of the machine. Locate the assembly above the right hand airbox. Ensure that the speaker cannot
chafe against the fuel tank or fuel tank brackets and also that the fuel pipes will not become trapped
between the motorcycle frame and the speaker. Mark the hole position with a pencil and withdraw the
speaker.
CAUTION: Do
not
centre
punch
the
hole
as
this
w
JII
damage
the
alrbox.
5.
All
except
Tiger:
Drill a 2.5mm hole in the airbox, as marked during operation 4, ensuring that no debris
enters the airbox itself.
If\.
WARNING:
Never
use
an
electric
drill
near
a
fuel
tank. The
sparks
from
the drJII
would
Ignite
~
the
fuel
vapour
causing
an
explos
ion
and
fire. Use a
hand
drill
only.
Refit the speaker and secure in position using the self tapping screw supplied with the kit.
6.
All
except
Tiger:
Locate the white terminal block situated in front of the battery. Remove the blanking
connector from the block and connect the block to the speaker. Position the assembled connector block in
the recess in front of the battery ensuring that the cables will not become damaged when the seat or
bodywork is re-fitted.
NOTE: Retain the blanking connector for future use if the alarm is ever removed. Without the blank, the
engine will not start.
CAUTION: Do
not
store
the
blanking
connector
with
the
bike
as
this
could
reduce
the
security
provlded
by
the
alarm.
