GRASS COLLECTOR OEM-190-731 / 190-731-081
This kit is designed to fit on Wide-Cut Combination Mowers.
Install Left Side Bracket
1. Shut off engine. Disconnect spark plug wire.
2. Remove lower screw (A, Fig. 1) and nut from left side
handlebar.
3. Place bracket (B) as illustrated and secure to handlebar with
screw (A) and nut.
Install Right Side Support Assembly
1. Remove lower screw (C, Fig. 2) and nut from right side
handlebar.
2. Place support assembly (D) on right side handlebar. Install
rod end through bracket (B), installed on left side.
Install Chute/Grass Bag Assembly
1. Lift discharge chute (F, Fig. 3) on deck.
2. Place front tab of chute/grass bag assembly (G) under
retaining bracket (J) on deck. Place reinforced hole on
chute over stud (K) beneath discharge chute. Secure safety
latch (L) over bracket (J). Release chute.
3. Slide bag end tabs (H, Fig. 2) onto bag hanger rod (E).
4. Place hanger rod (E) in right side support assembly (D).
5. See opposite side for grass bag installation instructions.
Operation
1. WARNING! Do not operate without entire grass collector
in place. Stop blade before emptying grass collector.
2. Empty bag when 3/4 full.
3. To empty bag, lift discharge chute (F, Fig. 3). Lift chute/bag
assembly (G) from stud. Lift bag hanger rod (with bag)
from right side support assembly. Unzip bag and empty.
4. Check grass collection bag frequently for deterioration and
wear. Replace worn bag with new bag which meets
Troy-Bilt/Bolens specifications.

DISCONNECT SPARK PLUG WIRE FROM SPARK PLUG. REFER TO THE OPERATOR’S MANUAL FOR COMPLETE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
DO NOT OPERATE UNIT WITHOUT ENTIRE GRASS COLLECTOR IN PLACE. STOP BLADE BEFORE EMPTYING GRASS COLLECTOR.

Grass Bag Installation
1. Place grass bag (A, Fig. 4) over chute assembly (B).
2. Insert pointed end of plastic cable tie (C) into eyelet end of
cable tie. Make sure cable is positioned so it ties bag
around indented groove portion (over flange) of chute. Pull
cable tight with pliers.
WARNING!
BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ACCESSORY, SHUT THE UNIT'S ENGINE OFF AND ALLOW IT TO COOL.
DISCONNECT SPARK PLUG WIRE FROM SPARK PLUG. REFER TO THE OPERATOR'S MANUAL FOR COMPLETE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
DO NOT OPERATE UNIT WITHOUT ENTIRE GRASS COLLECTOR IN PLACE. STOP BLADE BEFORE EMPTYING GRASS COLLECTOR.
