Tools with double insulation and reinforced insulation are
equipped with a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other). This plug will
only fit in the right way into a polarized outlet. If the plug cannot be introduced into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still doesn’t fit, call a qualified electrician to install
for you a polarized outlet. Do not alter the plug in any way. Both insulation types
eliminates the need of both a grounded third power cord with three prongs or a
grounded power connection.
When using an extension cable, verify the gauge is enough for the power that your product needs. A lower gauge cable
will cause voltage drop in the line, resulting in power loss and overheating. The following table shows the right size to use
depending on cable’s length and the ampere capability shown in the tool’s nameplate. When in doubt use the next
higher gauge.

General safety warnings
for power tools

Work area
Keep your work area clean, and well lit.
Cluttered and dark areas may cause accidents.
Never use the tool in explosive atmospheres, such as in the
presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
Sparks generated by power tools may ignite the flammable material.
Keep children and bystanders at a safe distance while operating
the tool.
Distractions may cause loosing control.
Electrical Safety
The tool plug must match the power outlet. Never modify
the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with
grounded power tools.
Modified plugs and different power outlets increase the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces, such as pipes,
radiators, electric ranges and refrigerators.
The risk of electric shock increases if your body is grounded.
Do not expose the tool to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering into the tool increases the risk of electric shock.
Do not force the cord. Never use the cord to carry, lift or unplug
the tool. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable
for outdoor use.
Using an adequate outdoor extension cord reduces the risk of electric shock.
If operating the tool in a damp location cannot be avoided, use
a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected supply.
Using a GFCI reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense
when operating a tool. Do not use a power tool while you are
tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
A moment of distraction while operating the tool may result in personal injury.
Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye
protection.
Protective equipment such as safety glasses, anti-dust mask, non-skid shoes,
hard hats and hearing protection used in the right conditions significantly
reduce personal injury.
Prevent unintentional starting up. Ensure the switch is in the
“OFF” position before connecting into the power source and /
or battery as well as when carrying the tool.
Transporting power tools with the finger on the switch or connecting power
tools with the switch in the “ON” position may cause accidents.
Remove any wrench or vice before turning the power tool on.
Wrenches or vices left attached to rotating parts of the tool may result in personal
injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
This enables a better control on the tool during unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep
hair, clothes and gloves away from the moving parts.
Loose clothes or long hair may get caught in moving parts.
If you have dust extraction and recollection devices connected
onto the tool, inspect their connections and use them correctly.
Using these devices reduce dust-related risks.
Power Tools Use and Care
Do not force the tool. Use the adequate tool for your
application.
The correct tool delivers a better and safer job at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the tool if the switch is not working properly.
Any power tool that cannot be turned ON or OFF is dangerous and should be
repaired before operating.
Disconnect the tool from the power source and / or battery
before making any adjustments, changing accessories or
storing.
These measures reduce the risk of accidentally starting the tool.
Store tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow persons
that are not familiar with the tool or its instructions to
operate the tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Service the tool. Check the mobile parts are not misaligned or
stuck. There should not be broken parts or other conditions that
may affect its operation. Repair any damage before
using the tool.
Most accidents are caused due to poor maintenance to the tools.
Keep the cutting accessories sharp and clean.
Cutting accessories in good working conditions are less likely to bind and are
easier to control.
Use the tool, components and accessories in accordance with
these instructions and the projected way to use it for the type of
tool when in adequate working conditions.
Using the tool for applications different from those it was designed for, could
result in a hazardous situation.
Service
Repair the tool in a Authorized Service Center
using only identical spare parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Children or people with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities shall not operate the tool, neither inexperienced
people or without knowledge in the use of the tool, unless
supervised by a person responsible of their safety or if receiving
previous instructions about the tool operation.
Children shall be kept under supervision to double-check they will not play
with the tool. Tight supervision shall be used with children or disabled
persons to prevent from using or being close to any household tool.

Safety warnings for
impact wrenches
• Choose the right sockets for the
material to be worked on, this reduces the risk of serious
injury and speeds up the job.
• Do not attempt to use sockets that exceed the capacity of
the wrench.
• Only use impact sockets.
Select the adequate sockets
• Take your time assessing the job and before starting the
job double check you are watching all the caution
measures needed.
• Adjust the socket correctly into the
square drive.
• Double check the switch is in the OFF
position before connecting the tool. Otherwise it will
unexpectedly start running and cause severe injuries.
• Turn off and disconnect the tool before
replacing a socket.
• Verify all the sockets before using. Do not use a damaged
socket.
• Using a torque meter is recommended as an add-on to
the tool to verify torque in the nuts to be tightened.
Before operating the Impact Wrench
• Hold the tool using the insulated gripping surfaces
when carrying out operations in which the tool may
come into contact with hidden wiring or its own
cable. The contact with a power conducting cable
transmits power to the tool’s metal parts causing an
electric shock to the operator.
• Do not subject the tool to excessive force.
• Hold the tool firmly. Never let go off
the tool while still running. Turn it off before putting it
aside.
• Do not exercise too much pressure on the tool to
make it run faster. The socket can get damaged and the
tool efficiency will diminish along with its useful life.
• Do not touch the socket
immediately after being used. Leave it cooling down
before handling it. Do not try to cool it down with
water or oil.
• Due to vibration and temperature increase in the
metallic parts, using safety gloves is recommended to
operate the tool.
• Using the tool long periods of time is not
recommended because the vibration can be harmful
for arms and hands.
• Restrain from setting the tool in a place containing
particles and/or dust immediately after being used.
These can be absorbed into the tool mechanism and
damage it.
• Wear hearing protectors complying with ANSI S3.19
Standard.
• Wear anti-dust mask and a dust extracting device if
necessary. Remember that working with materials such
as asbestos, leaded paint, additives, some types of
wood, metal o minerals is highly toxic.
• Use safety glasses complying with ANSI Z87.1.

Preparation
Socket Installation
Always make sure that the tool is turned
off and unplugged before performing any work on it.
• Select the right socket for the job.
• Align the orifice for the socket retaining pin with the
retaining pin in the square drive.
• Press the socket into the square drive until is set into
position. Tap it lightly if necessary
• To remove the socket, press the retaining pin through
the orifice and pull the socket until removing it from the
square drive.
• Always use impact socket for this tool. Do not use
sockets for hand tools. Consult the
Catalog to learn about our accessory range.
• Use 1/2” sockets for square drives.
• Using adaptors for sockets with other measures is not
recommended. Use them only when strictly necessary.
• If a socket has not been secured and
adjusted as indicated it can shoot out and injure the
operator.

Start Up
• Connect the tool.
• Firmly hold the tool.
• To make the square drive turn clockwise (tighten), press
the lower part of the switch (F).
• To make the square drive turn counter clockwise
(loosen), press the upper part of the switch (R).
• To stop the square drive, release the switch.
• Wait until the motor comes to a complete stop before
changing the rotation direction.
Switch on
• Securely hold the tool and place the nut onto the screw or bolt.
Start the tool and tighten for the appropriate amount of time.
NOTE:
• When attaching an M10 (3/8”) or smaller screw, carefully adjust the pressure on the switch so that the
screw is not damaged.
• Hold the tool pointed directly at the bolt or nut without applying excessive pressure to the tool.
•If a screw is tightened for a very long period of time, the screw or nut can become fatigued, damaged, etc.
• Before beginning your work, always run a test operation to determine the appropriate time for your
screw. Especially for screws larger than M10 (3/8”), the above test operation should be done to prevent
problems in the nut or screw, etc.
• The tightening torque is affected by a wide variety of factors including the following. After tightening,
always check the tightening torque with a torque wrench.
1.Voltage.
- Voltage drop will cause a decrease in the clamping force.
2.Nut.
- If the correct size nut is not used, the tightening torque will be reduced.
- If a worn nut is used (wear on the hex end or on the square end), the tightening torque will be reduced.
3.Screw
- Even if the torsion coefficient and screw class are the same, the appropriate tightening torque will vary
depending on the diameter of the screw. Even if the diameter of the screw or bolt is the same, the correct
tightening torque will vary according to the torsion coefficient, class and length of the bolt or screw.
4.Material.
- The type of material and the surface finish of the material will affect the tightening torque.
5.Tightening Time.
Longer tightening periods will result in a higher tightening torque.
Using a longer tightening period than recommended could cause the fastener parts to roll or damage the
threads or screw parts.
6 .The way you hold the tool or material in the tightening position will affect the torque.

Maintenance
• The tool is adequately oiled in the factory. It does not
require additional lubrication.
Bring or send the tool to a service
center in two to six months, depending on the level of use,
for a thorough cleaning and inspection. This lubrication
should only be done by service technicians trained in the
repair of power tools, such as those found in
service centers.
Tools frequently used in production, heavy tasks, or
exposed to heat may require more frequent lubrication.
Tools not used for long periods of time should be
re-lubricated before use.
• To guarantee the proper cooling of the motor, always
keep the air vents clean and free of obstructions.
• Regularly inspect all the mounting nuts and double check
the screws are tight. If a screw is loose, tighten
immediately.
• Carbon brushes shall be checked periodically and
replaced in a Authorized Service
Center.
• When replaced, ask the technician to inspect if the new
carbon brushes move freely in the carbon brush housing.
Ask them to run the tool five minutes to match contact of
the carbon brushes and the commuter.
• Use only original replacement
carbon brushes, designed specifically with the right
strength and electric resistance for each type of motor.
Carbon brushes with different specifications may damage
the motor.
• When replacing carbon brushes, always change both.
• Service to the tools shall only be carried out in a
Authorized Service Center. Service
and maintenance performed by non-qualified people may
be dangerous and can lead to personal injuries. It also
makes the product Warranty void.

Mantenimiento
• La herramienta es lubricada adecuadamente de fábrica,
no requiere lubricación adicional.
Lleve o envíe la herramienta a un centro de servicio
en dos a seis meses, dependiendo
del nivel de uso,para que se le haga una limpieza e
inspección minuciosa. Esta lubricación sólo debería
realizarla técnicos de servicio capacitados en la reparación
de máquinas herramienta, tales como los que encontrará
en los centros de servicio .
Las herramientas utilizadas constantemente en producción
o tareas pesadas o que son expuestas a calor pueden
requerir una lubricación más frecuente. Las herramientas
que no son utilizadas por períodos largos de tiempo
deberían volverse a lubricar antes de usarse nuevamente.
• Siempre mantenga las ventilas limpias y libres de
obstrucciones para garantizar un enfriamiento adecuado
del motor.
• Inspeccione regularmente todos los tornillos de montaje
y asegúrese de que estén apretados correctamente. En
caso de que alguno de los tornillos esté suelto, apriételo
inmediatamente.
• Los carbones deben revisarse periódicamente, y ser
reemplazados siempre por un Centro de Servicio Autorizado
cuando se hayan desgastado.
• Después de que hayan sido reemplazados, pida que se
inspeccione si los nuevos carbones pueden moverse
libremente en el porta-carbón y solicite que enciendan la
herramienta durante 5 minutos para emparejar el contacto
de los carbones y el conmutador.
• Sólo se deben de usar carbones de repuesto
originales, diseñados específicamente
con la dureza y la resistencia eléctrica adecuadas para cada
tipo de motor. Los carbones fuera de especificaciones
pueden dañar el motor.
• Cuando se haga el cambio de carbones siempre deben
reemplazarse los dos carbones.
• El servicio de las herramientas debe ser realizado
únicamente en un Centro de Servicio Autorizado
. El servicio y mantenimiento realizado
por personas no calificadas puede resultar peligroso y
llegar a ocasionar daños personales además de invalidar la
garantía del producto.

Puesta en marcha
• Conecte la herramienta.
• Sujete firmemente la herramienta.
• Para hacer que el impulsor de cuadro gire en sentido de las
manecillas del reloj (apretar), presione la parte inferior del
interruptor (F).
• Para hacer que el impulsor de cuadro gire en sentido
contrario a las manecillas del reloj (aflojar), presione la parte
superior del interruptor (R).
• Para que el impulsor de cuadro se detenga suelte el
interruptor.
• Espere hasta que el motor este completamente detenido
antes de cambiar el sentido de rotación.
Encendido
•Sujete firmemente la herramienta y ponga el dado sobre el tornillo o la tuerca.
Ponga en marcha la herramienta y apriete durante el tiempo de apriete apropiado.
NOTA:
• Al unir un tornillo M10 (9.5 mm) o mas chico, ajuste cuidadosamente la presión en el
interruptor de modo que el tornillo no se dañe
• Sostenga la herramienta apuntada directamente al tornillo o a la tuerca sin aplicar presión
excesiva a la herramienta.
• Si une el tornillo durante un tiempo muy largo, el tornillo o el dado se pueden fatigar, dañar, etc..
Antes de iniciar su trabajo, siempre ejecute un funcionamiento de
prueba para determinar el tiempo adecuado para su tornillo. Especialmente para tornillos mayores que M10 (9.5 mm),
el funcionamiento de prueba anterior para prevenir problemas en el dado o tornillo, etc.
• La torsión de apriete se ve afectada por una amplia variedad de factores incluyendo los siguientes. Después del apriete,
compruebe siempre la torsión de apriete con una llave de torsión.
1. Voltaje
• La caída de voltaje causará una disminución en el par de fuerzas de fijar.
2. Dado
• Si no se utiliza un dado del tamaño correcto, la torsión de apriete se verá reducida.
• Si se utiliza un dado desgastado (desgaste en el extrermo hexagonal o en extremo cuadrangular), la torsión de apriete
se verá reducida.
3. Perno o tornillo
• Incluso si el coeficiente de torsión y la clase de tornillo son los mismos, la adecuada torsión de apriete variara en función
del diámetro del tornillo.
• Incluso si el diámetro del tornillo o perno es el mismo, la torsión de apriete correcta variará de acuerdo con el
coeficiente de torsión, la clase y la longitud del perno o tornillo.
4.Material
• El tipo de material y el acabado de la superficie del material afectará al par de ajuste.
5. Tiempo de ajuste
• Los períodos de ajuste mayores resultarán en un par de ajuste mayor.
El uso de un período de ajuste mayor del recomendado podría hacer que las piezas de
fijación se rueden o se dañen los hilos o las piezas
6. La forma de sostener la herramienta o el material en la posición a apretar afectará a la torsión.

Preparación
Instalación del dado
• Asegúrese siempre de que la
herramienta esté apagada y desconectada antes de
realizar cualquier trabajo en la misma.
• Seleccione el dado adecuado para el trabajo a realizar.
• Alinee el orificio para pasador retenedor del dado con el
pasador retenedor del impulsor de cuadro.
• Presione el dado sobre el impulsor de cuadro hasta que
quede colocado en su posición. Golpéelo ligeramente si
es necesario
• Para retirar el dado presione el pasador retenedor a
través del orificio y tire del dado hasta extraerlo del
impulsor de cuadro.
• Siempre utilice dados de impacto para esta herramienta.
No utilice dados para herramientas de mano. Consulte el

de accesorios.
• Utilice dados para impulsores de cuadro de 1/2" (13 mm).
• Los adaptadores para dados de otras medidas no se
recomiendan, utilícelos sólo si es estrictamente necesario.
• Cuando un dado no ha sido
asegurado y ajustado como se indicó, puede salir
disparado y lesionar al operador.

Advertencias de seguridad
para uso de llaves de impacto
• Elija los dados adecuados para el
material a trabajar, esto reduce el riesgo de lesiones
graves y agiliza el trabajo.
• No intente utilizar dados que excedan la capacidad
de la llave.
• Utilice únicamente vasos de impacto.
Elija dados apropiados
• Tómese su tiempo para evaluar el trabajo a realizar y
asegúrese de haber respetado todas las precauciones
necesarias antes de comenzar a trabajar.
• Ajuste correctamente el dado al
impulsor de cuadro.
• Asegúrese que el interruptor esté
apagado antes de conectar la herramienta, de lo contrario
ésta comenzará a funcionar inesperadamente, pudiendo
provocar lesiones graves.
• Apague y desconecte la herramienta
antes de reemplazar un dado.
• Verifique los dados antes de usarlos, no utilice un dado
dañado.
• Se recomienda contar con un torquímetro como
complemento de la herramienta para verificar el torque de
las tuercas a apretar.
Antes de operar la llave de impacto
• Sostenga la herramienta por las partes de agarre
aisladas cuando lleve a cabo operaciones en las que
exista el riesgo de que la herramienta pueda entrar
en contacto con el cableado oculto o su propio cable.
El contacto con un cable conductor de corriente hace que
las piezas metálicas de la herramienta también tengan
corriente y puedan provocar una descarga eléctrica al
operador.
• No someta la herramienta a esfuerzos excesivos.
• Sostenga firmemente la herramien-
ta. Nunca suelte la herramienta mientras esté en
funcionamiento, apáguela antes de soltarla.
• No ejerza demasiada presión a la herramienta con tal
de acelerar el trabajo. De lo contrario el dado podría
dañarse y la eficiencia de la herramienta disminuiría al
igual que su vida útil.
• No toque el dado inmediatamente
después de utilizarse. Espere a que se enfríe para
manipularlo. No intente enfriarlo con agua o aceite.
• Se recomienda el uso de guantes de seguridad para
operar la herramienta debido a la vibración y aumento
de temperatura de sus partes metálicas.
• No se recomienda utilizar la herramienta por periodos
prolongados, ya que la vibración puede ser perjudicial
para sus brazos y manos.
• Evite colocar la herramienta en un sitio con partículas
y/o polvo inmediatamente después de haber sido usada,
estas pueden ser absorbidas dentro del mecanismo de la
herramienta y así dañarla.
• Utilice protectores auriculares que cumplan con la
norma ANSI S3.19.
• Utilice mascarilla antipolvo y un equipo extractor de
polvo si es necesario. Recuerde que trabajar materiales
como asbesto, pinturas con plomo, aditivos, algunos
tipos de madera, metales o minerales es altamente
tóxico.
• Utilice gafas de seguridad que cumplan con la norma
ANSI Z87.1.
