1. Generalinformation
The TruBroomisdesigned forthe efficient
cleaning of carpetsand floors.
Theseinstructionsonlycoverthe operation of
the machinesand do notinclude information
on the basicsoffloorcleaning.Anyusernot
familiarwithbasicfloorcleaning shouldcontact
theirsupervisororTruvoxInternationalbefore
proceeding.
The TruBroommust onlybe used forthe
manufacturer’sapproved application.Itis
designed forthe cleaning and removalof light
carpet soilorhardfloors. Donotuse whereit
issuspected that the carpetfloorcontains
healthendangering dust ordebrissuchas
asbestosorchemicalwaste. If thisis
suspected do notproceed,contactyour
supervisororTruvoxInternational foradvice.
The following instructionscontainimportant
information aboutthe TruBroomand safety
adviceforthe operator.
Equipmentmust be operated,serviced and
maintained inaccordancewiththe
manufacturer’sinstructions. Ifindoubt
contactthesupplier ofyourmachine.
Theseinstructionsarevalidforthe following

1.1ImportantSafetyAdvice
Whenusing electricalequipment basicsafety
precautionsshouldbe followed including the
following.
•MakesureTruBroomisassembled
correctlybeforeuse.
•TruBroomisnotintended foruseby
children.
•Do not useTruBroomifit hasbeen
damaged,left outdoorsordropped into
water.
•Keep fingers, hair, allotherbodypartsand
clothing awayfromrotatingcleaning
brushes.
•Do not useon coarseconcretesurfaces.
•Do not useoutdoors: patios, decksor
rough surfaces.
•Do not usewherehazardousdust is
present.
•Do not useinan explosiveatmosphere.
•Do not usetoclean up anyburning or
lighted materialssuchascigarettes,
matchesand ashes
•Onlyusethe supplied chargerwhen
charging TruBroom.
•StoreyourTruBroomindoorsinadry, safe
place.
•Do not useadamaged charger.
•Whennotinusethe chargershouldbe
removed fromthe mainssupplysocket.
1.2Guidelines fortheoperator
•Operatorsmust be fullytrained inthe useof
the machine inaccordancewiththese
instructions, abletoperformuser
maintenanceand the correct selection of
accessories.
•Operatorsshouldbe physicallycapableto
manoeuvre,transport and operatethe
machine.
•Operatorsshouldbe abletorecognise
unusualoperation of the machine and
report anyproblems.
•Wearsuitablefootweartoavoidslipping.
•Wearsuitableclothingtokeep dryand
warm.
•Wherepossibleimplementjob rotation and
adequaterest periodstoavoidcontinuous
useofsamemuscles.
•Do not leavethe machine running
unattended
•Do not smokewhen using the machine.
CAUTION -Thismachine isforindoor
useonlyand shouldnot be used or
stored outdoorsorinwet conditions.
1.3Transportingthemachine
Whentransporting amachine ensurethat all
componentsand removablepartsaresecurely
fastened.
Takeextremecarewhen using the machine on
oraround stepsorstairs.
CAUTION –Incorrectlifting techniques
mayresultinpersonalinjury.We
advisethat the manualhandling
regulationsarefollowed.
1.4Electrical connection
•Beforeconnecting the chargertothe power
supply, check that yoursupplyvoltage
correspondswiththatmarked on therating
labelon the charger.

2Preparationforuse
•Removethe applianceand components
fromthe box.
•Takeoutthe handlecomponents,
simultaneouslydepress the twobuttonson
eitherside of the tube and connect each
part together.
•Insert intoplastichandleon machine base.
3Operation
3.1Chargingthebattery
•EnsureTruBroomisturned off when
charging.
•Beforeusing the firsttimeinitiallycharge for
12 hours.
•Agreen lightwillshowwhen charging.
•Recharge afteruse, neverwait untilbattery
isfullydischarged.
•Do not leaveon continuouscharge.
3.2Usingthemachine
•Ensuredust trayisemptybeforeuse.
•Switchon bypressing the on/off button.
•Pushand pull the sweeperon the
floor/carpet atanormalspeed.
•Whenfinished, turnthe machine off by
pressing the on/off button.
•Ensuremachine isturned off.Depressthe
dust traybutton totakeoutthe tray.
•Emptythe tray.
4Storage
•Alwaysemptyand clean the machine
afteruse.
•Alwaysrecharge afteruse.
•Storethe machine inadry indoorarea
only.
5Maintenance
WARNING -Before undertaking
maintenance operationsor
adjustmentsswitchoff machineand
unplugfromtheelectricitysupply.
The machine requiresminimummaintenance
apartfromthe following checksbythe
operator.
•Rechargecord -Regularlyinspect sheath,
plug and cordanchorage fordamage or
looseconnection.
•Dusttray –Check the dust trayiscleaned
and replaced asappropriate.
•Brush –Checkthatthe brushisfree of
debrisand clean asrequired.
Thereareno userserviceablepartson this
appliance.
IMPORTANT –Allotherservicing and repairs
shouldonlybe performed byaTruvox
engineerorAuthorised ServiceAgent.
IMPORTANT –Shouldthe machine failto
operatepleaserefertothe fault diagnosis
section inthe back of theinstruction manual.If
the problem/ remedyisnot listed please
contactTruvoxCustomerServiceDepartment
forrapidattention.

Shouldyou requireaftersalesserviceplease
contactthe supplierfromwhomyou purchased
the machine,who will arrange service. Repairs
and servicing of Truvoxproductsshouldonly
be performedbytrained staff. Improperrepairs
can causeconsiderabledangerstothe user.
7Guarantee
Yourproductisguaranteed for 90 days from
the dateof original purchase, orhirepurchase,
against defectsinmaterialsorworkmanship
during manufacture.Withinthe guarantee
period weundertakeat ourdiscretion,torepair
orreplacefree ofcharge tothe purchaser, any
partfound tobedefective,subjecttothe
following conditions.
CONDITIONS
1.Claimsmade underthe termsof the
guarantee must be supported bythe
originalinvoice/billof saleissued at the time
of sale, orthe machine Serial Number.
2.Forclaimsunderthisguarantee contactthe
supplierfromwhomyou purchased the
product who willarrange the appropriate
action.Do notinitiallyreturnthe product as
thiscouldresultintransit damage.
3.NeitherTruvoxnoritsdistributorsshallbe
liableforanyincidental orconsequential
loss.
4.Thisguarantee isgoverned bythe lawsof
England.
5.Thisguarantee doesnot coveranyof the
following:
•Periodicmaintenance, and repairor
replacement of partsdue tonormalwear
and tear.
•Damage caused byaccident,misuseor
neglect,orthe fitting of otherthan
genuine Truvoxparts.
•Defectsinotherthan genuine Truvox
parts, orrepairs,modificationsor
adjustmentsperformed byotherthan a
Truvoxserviceengineerorauthorised
serviceagent.
•Costsandrisksoftransport relating directly
orindirectlytothe guarantee ofthis
product.
•Consumableitemsand wearpartssuchas
drivebelts.
Thisguarantee doesnot affectyourstatutory
rights, noryourrightsagainst the supplier
arising fromtheirsalesorpurchasecontract.
