CHARGING THE LITHIUM BATTERY:
The battery should be fully charged, when using for the first time and whenever it fails to
operate while in use. If you do not charge fully, you may not have sufficient power. After using
the product for a long period of time, or after a long storage, it is best to fully charge the battery,
to attain full capacity. The lithium battery does not need to be charged after a short use, as it
will not lose any memory.
The battery may become warm while charging; this is normal and does not indicate a problem.
The battery does not need to be removed from the blower when charging. Your battery can be
fully charged for the first time in approximately 3 to 5 hours. Be sure to read all safety
instructions before using your adapter.
The adapter must be serviced at an authorized service center only. This is required to avoid
damage to static sensitive internal components. Read all of the instructions before attempting
to charge the battery pack for your product. Always use the correct battery pack (pack supplied
with the product or a replacement pack exactly like it). Never install any other battery pack as it
could damage your tool and may create a hazard.
1 .Charging procedure:
The adapter requires no adjustment and is designed to be as easy to use as possible. Simply
place your battery pack plug from your adaptor and it will automatically charge the pack.
(a) Connect the output of adaptor to the input of battery.
(b) Plug the adaptor into an appropriate AC power outlet. If the charger RED LED light is
ON, this indicates it is still charging the battery. If the charger GREEN LED is ON, this
indicates the battery is ready for use.
(c) The battery pack should be fully charged in approximately 1 to 2 hours,
after the initial charge. If the green light on the charger does not
illuminate after fully charging, this is perfectly normal. In some geographical

4
areas, circuits will never obtain 100% charge and then the green light will not
come on. Go ahead with the operation of this product, as this does not affect
the performance.

2. Important Charging Reminders:
Longest life and best performance can be obtained if the battery pack is charged when the air
temperature is between 60°F - 75°F. Do not charge the battery pack in a very low or very high
air temperature. This is important and will prevent serious damage to the battery pack.
(a). The adapter and battery pack may become warm to touch while charging. This is a
normal condition, and does not indicate a problem.
(b). Use the adapter in normal room temperatures whenever possible. To prevent
overheating, do not cover the adapter or battery and do not charge battery packs in direct
sunlight or near heat sources.
(c). If the battery pack does not charge properly check the current at the receptacle by
plugging in a lamp or other appliance. Then move the adapter and battery pack to a
location where the surrounding air temperature is approximately 60°F - 75°F. If charging
problems persist, take or send the blower, battery pack and charger to your local service
center.
(d). The battery pack should be recharged when it fails to produce sufficient power on jobs
which were easily done previously. DO NOT CONTINUE to use under those conditions.
Follow the charging procedure only. You may also charge a partially used pack whenever
you desire with no adverse affect on the battery pack.
(e). Under certain conditions, with the adapter plugged in to the power supply, the exposed
charging contacts inside the charger can be shorted by foreign material. Foreign materials
of a conductive nature such as, but no limited to, steel wool, aluminum foil, or any buildup
of metallic particles should be kept away from charger cavities. Always unplug the adapter
from the power supply when there is no battery pack in the cavity. Unplug the adapter
before attempting to clean.
(f). Do not immerse adapter & battery in water or any other liquid.
WARNING!!!: Do not allow any liquid to get inside the adapter or battery, as electric shock may
occur. To facilitate the cooling of the battery pack after use, avoid placing the
charger or battery pack in a warm environment such as in a metal shed, or an
un-insulated trailer.
CAUTION!!!: Never attempt to open the battery pack for any reason. If the plastic housing of
the battery pack breaks or cracks, return to a service center for recycling.
