IMPORTANT
The appliance must not be used by people (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental abilities, or without experience or expertise, unless they ha e recei ed
instructions for using it from those responsible for their safety. Young children should be
super ised to ensure they not play with the appliance.

USING ELECTRIC HOT PLATES
When using an electric hotplate for the first time or after a long period of disuse, turn the
knob to 1 and let it heat for about 20 minutes to eliminate any possible moisture absorbed
by the internal insulating material.
•Dry the bottom of the pan before placing it on the hotplate.
•Turn the hotplate on only after placing the pan on it.
•The hotplates are controlled by a7-position knob (from 1 to 6).
•Turn the knob anti-clockwise to the desired setting. A warning light on the control
panel will inform you if the plate is on or off.
Suggested settings (guide) :
Position Heat Intensity Use
0 Off
1 Very Slow
For melting butter, chocolate, etc. For heating small amount
of liquid.
2 Low
For heating larger amounts of liquid. For preparing slow-
cooking creams and sauces.
3 Medium Low
For thawing frozen foods and cooking stews, cooking at
boiling or lower temperature.
4 Medium For boiling foods, roasting delicate meats and fish.
5 High For braising chops and steaks, for large meat soups
6 Very High For boiling large amounts of water and frying.
ENERGY SAVING TIPS

The diameter of the saucepan must be the same or slightly larger than that of the electric
hotplate. Ne er use a pan which is smaller than the electric hotplate.
Use flat-bottomed pans only.
Preferably co er pans with a lid to permit cooking at a lower heat.
Always cook egetables and potatoes, etc. in as little water to reduce cooking times.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the power at the main circuit breaker of the
electrical system.
Do not clean the appliance surfaces when still hot.
ELECTRIC HOT PLATES
After use, for a good conser ation, the hot plate must be slightly greased by means of a
cloth soaked with oil, so that the surface remains always clean and bright.

INSTRUCTIONS DESTINED TO THE INSTALLER
Before performing any repair or operation, switch the appliance off. The qualified engineer
is responsible for correct installation according to the safety standards in force.
The earthing of the appliance is legally binding. The manufacturer declines all responsibility
for any damage to persons, animals or things caused by failure to obser e the abo e
mentioned rules.
The technical data are indicated on the data nameplate placed on the rear of the appliance.
The adjustment conditions are stated on the label applied on the packaging and on the
appliance.

IMPORTANT
The coating of the furniture must be able to withstand high temperature (min. 90oC).
ASSEMBLAGE AND INSTALLATION OF THE APPLIANCE
This appliance has to be placed in a top with height from 30mm to 40mm.
Proceed to the cut of the top in accordance with the measures indicated in the general
descriptions of the appliance dimensions.
Set sealing strip X between cooking table and top.
Insert the cooking table in the top and fix it by means of fixing clamps Y, screwing of some
turns screw Z (see picture below).
When the appliance is installed so that its lower part can be touched, we recommend
placing a protecting wall. This protection, withstanding high temperatures, must be placed
at least 20mm form the lower part of the appliance.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Connection of the appliance to the power mains should be done by a licensed electrician
familiar with local safety regulations.
This appliance must be earthed by law.
Before connecting the a liance to the electrical su ly, check that the earth system
in your house is working correctly.
Check that unit oltage and power, marked on the rating plate applied on the appliance, are
correct for the supply.
If an appliance is not equipped with supply cable and plug, the power supply must be fitted
with a disconnect switch in which the distance between contacts permits total disconnection
in accordance with o er oltage category III, as required by installation regulations.
BE SURE THAT THE EARTH WIRE GREEN/YELLOW IS NOT INTERRUPTED BY THE
SWITCH.
IMPORTANT : The wire in the mains lead are so coloured :-
Green/yellow = earth :
Blue = neutral : N
Brown = li e : L
The wire coloured green/yellow must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with letter “E” or by the earth symbol or coloured green or green/yellow.
The wire coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with letter N or
coloured black.
The wire coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with letter L or
coloured red.
The supply cable must not come into contact with any component the temperature of which
exceeds the ambient temperature by 50oC;
If a lug is used for connection, the lug to be connected to the su ly cable and the
socket to which it is connected must be of the same ty e (conforming to the
standards).
Easy access to the plug or the switch is ensured once the appliance is installed;
Ensure that there is sufficient cable allowed for any subsequent remo al of the unit.
If the plug is non-rewireable, pay attention to the following points:
The plug must ne er be cut by the supply cord. There is a shock hazard when this plug is
inserted in a socket outlet elsewhere in the house.
Ne er use the plug without the fuse co er fitted.
Referring to the pertinent spare parts, apply to the appliance’s supplier.
The manufacturer declines all res onsibility for any damage to ersons or things
caused by failure to observe the rules indicated above.

source by performing the following operations :

N.B : Keeping into consideration the simultaneity coefficient of 0.67.
Push the back panel back being careful to lock the cable in the panel clamping screw.

If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by his after-
sales ser ice, or by a similar qualified person, in order to pre ent any risk.
