3. Ad-Hoc Operation ( 5GHz Band )
Ad-Hoc operation is limited to C annels 36- 48 ( 5150 – 5250 MHz) . Use of t is band is
restricted to indoor use only, any ot er use will make t e operation of t is device illegal.
Federal Commun cat on Comm ss on Interference Statement
T is device complies wit Part 15 of t e FCC Rules. Operation is subject to t e following
two conditions: (1) T is device may not cause armful interference, and (2) t is device
must accept any interference received, including interference t at may cause undesired
operation.
T is equipment as been tested and found to comply wit t e limits for a Class B digital
device, pursuant to Part 15 of t e FCC Rules. T ese limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against armful interference in a residential installation. T is
equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed
and used in accordance wit t e instructions, may cause armful interference to radio
communications. However, t ere is no guarantee t at interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If t is equipment does cause armful interference to radio or

television reception, w ic can be determined by turning t e equipment off and on, t e
user is encouraged to try to correct t e interference by one of t e following measures:
- Reorient or relocate t e receiving antenna.
- Increase t e separation between t e equipment and receiver.
- Connect t e equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from t at
to w ic t e receiver is connected.
- Consult t e dealer or an experienced radio/TV tec nician for elp.
FCC Caution: Any c anges or modifications not expressly approved by t e party
responsible for compliance could void t e user's aut ority to operate t is equipment.
T is transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction wit any ot er
antenna or transmitter.
Operations in t e 5.15-5.25GHz band are restricted to indoor usage only.
Radiation Exposure Statement:
T e product comply wit t e FCC portable RF exposure limit set fort for an uncontrolled
environment and are safe for intended operation as described in t is manual. T e furt er
RF exposure reduction can be ac ieved if t e product can be kept as far as possible from
t e user body or set t e device to lower output power if suc function is available.
Note: T e country code selection is for non-US model only and is not available to all US
model. Per FCC regulation, all WiFi product marketed in US must fixed to US operation
c annels only.
Body-worn Operation
T is device was tested for typical body-worn operations. To comply wit RF exposure
requirements, a minimum separation distance of 15 mm must be maintained between
t e user’s body and t e andset, including t e antenna. T ird-party belt-clips, olsters,

HAC
T is p one as been tested and rated for use wit earing aids for some of t e wireless

tec nologies t at it uses. However, t ere may be some newer wireless tec nologies used
in t is p one t at ave not been tested yet for use wit earing aids. It is important to
try t e different features of t is p one t oroug ly and in different locations, using your
earing aid or coc lear implant, to determine if you ear any interfering noise. Consult
your service provider or t e manufacturer of t is p one for information on earing aid
compatibility. If you ave questions about return or exc ange policies, consult your
service
To determine t e compatibility of a WD and a particular earing aid, simply add t e
numerical part of t e earing aid category (e.g. M2/T2=2) wit t e numerical part of t e
WD emission rating (e.g., M3=3) to arrive at t e system classification for t is particular
combination of WD and earing aid. A sum of 5 would indicate t at t e WD and earing
aid would provide normal use, and a sum of 6 or greater would indicate t at t e WD and
earing aid would provide excellent performance. A category sum of less t an 4 would
likely result in a performance t at is judged unacceptable by t e earing aid user.
WHAT IS HEARING AID COMPATIBILITY?
T e Federal Communications Commission as implemented rules and a rating system
designed to enable people w o wear earing aids to more effectively use t ese wireless
telecommunications devices. T e standard for compatibility of digital wireless p ones
wit earing aids is set fort in American National Standard Institute (ANSI) standard
C63.19. T ere are two sets of ANSI standards wit ratings from one to four (four being
t e best rating): an “M” rating for reduced interference making it easier to ear
conversations on t e p one w en using t e earing aid microp one, and a “T” rating
t at enables t e p one to be used wit earing aids operating in t e telecoil mode t us
reducing unwanted background noise.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHICH WIRELESS PHONES ARE HEARING AID COMPATIBLE?
T e Hearing Aid Compatibility rating is displayed on t e wireless p one box.
A p one is considered Hearing Aid Compatible for acoustic coupling (microp one mode)
if it as an “M3” or “M4” rating. A digital wireless p one is considered Hearing Aid
Compatible for inductive coupling (telecoil mode) if it as a “T3” or “T4” rating.
T e tested M-Rating and T-Rating for t is device (FCC ID: H8NTN502A1) are M3 and T3.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY HEARING AID WILL WORK WITH A PARTICULAR DIGITAL
WIRELESS PHONE?
You’ll want to try a number of wireless p ones so t at you can decide w ic works t e
best wit your earing aids. You may also want to talk wit your earing aid professional

about t e extent to w ic your earing aids are immune to interference, if t ey ave
wireless p one s ielding, and w et er your earing aid as a HAC rating.
Warn ngs of Use W reless Dev ces
Please observe warning notices wit regard to t e usage of wireless devices.
1. Potentially Hazardous Atmosp eres – Ve icles Use
You are reminded of t e need to observe restrictions on t e use of radio devices in fuel
depots, c emical plants etc. and areas w ere t e air contains c emicals or particles
( suc as grain, dust, or metal powders ) and any ot er area w ere you would normally
be advised to turn off your ve icle engine.
2. Safety in Aircraft
Turn off your wireless device w enever you are instructed to do so by airport or airline
staff.
3. Safety in Hospitals
Wireless devices transmit radio frequency energy and may affect medical electrical
equipment. Wireless devices s ould be switc ed off w enever you are requested to
do so in ospitals, clinics or ealt care facilities. T ese requests are designed to prevent
possible interference wit sensitive medical equipment.
Safety Informat on – Europe
T is device was tested for typical body-worn operation. Use only TURBONET tested and
approved accessories to ensure EU compliance.
Laser Dev ces
Class 2 laser scanners use a lower power, visible lig t diode. As wit any very brig t lig t
source, suc as t e sun, t e user s ould avoid staring directly into t e lig t beam.
Momentary exposure to a class 2 laser is not known to be armful.
Caution: Use of controls, adjustments or performance of procedures ot er t an t ose
specified erein may result in azardous laser lig t exposure.
Power Adaptor
Use ONLY a ASKEY approved Nationally Recognized Test Laboratory (NRTL) Certified ITE
(LPS/SELV) power supply wit electrical ratings:
Output 5.4 VDC, min 3 A, wit a maximum ambient temperature of at least +50°C. Use of
alternative power supply will invalidate any approvals given to t is unit and may be

dangerous.
Battery Informat on
Use only a TURBONET approved batteries.
W en batteries are stores over six (6) mont s, some irreversible deterioration in overall
battery quality may occur. Store batteries at alf of full c arge in a dry, cool place,
removed from t e equipment to prevent loss of capacity, rusting of metallic parts and
electrolyte leakage. W en storing batteries for one year or longer, t e c arge level s ould
be verified at least once a year and c arged to alf of full c arge.
