• All operating instructions must be read and understood before the products is operated.
• These safety and operating instruction must be kept in a safe place for future reference.
• All warning in this instruction must be observed closely and be followed.
• Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer. Use of inadequate attachments
can result in accidents.
• If you are not sure of the type of power supply used in your home, consult your dealer or local
power company. For units designed to operate on batteries or another power source, refer to the
operating instruction.
• The power cord must be routed properly to prevent people from stepping on them or objects
from resting on them. Check the cords at the plugs and the products.
• Do not overload DC outlets or extension cords. Overloading can cause fire or an electric shock.
• Do not attempt to repair the products yourself. Removing the covers can expose you to high
voltage and other dangerous conditions. Request a qualified person to perform servicing.
• If any of the following conditions occur, unplug the power cord from the DC outlet, and request a
qualified service person to perform repairs.
a. When the power cord or plug is damaged.
b. When liquid was spilled on the products or when objects have fallen on the products.
c. When the products have been exposed to rain or water.
d. When the products have been dropped or damaged.
e. When the products display an abnormal condition. Any noticeable abnormality in the products
indicate that the products need servicing.
• Upon completion of service of repair work, request the service technician to perform safety checks
to ensure that the products is in proper operating condition.
• Keep the products away from direct rays of sunlight.
• Do not place the products on an unstable cart, stand, tripod or table. Placing the products on an
unstable base can cause the products to fall.
• When you disassemble the products, you must lay smooth fabric or sponge layer underneath to
prevent causing any scratches.
• When you assemble the products, you must set the electronic screwdriver’s torque as less than 2k
Each bolt must be screwed after and checking that the cables connect properly. Setting the torque
as more than 2k can cause the screw to spin idle and cause the case to break.

•SDI (CON8, CON9, CON10, CON11) sends signals to the Main Controller (FPGA) via M21424 (drive IC).
•Scaler MDIN180 is a drive with a Scaler function which is available to deal with video signals RGB/ YPbPr.
•Scaler MDIN180 sends the received signals to the Main Controller (FPGA). The Main Controller then
makes LVDS from RGB received through 8 bit dual ports output.
•RGB and YPbPr cannot receive signals at the same time.
•In order to use DDR, SAMSUNG K4S643233-FBGA memory is required.
•Scaler MDIN180 contains one DDR which is used to save images and reload them when needed.
•DSP Processor processes the Audio Level Meter embedded in the SDI input and deals with the graphics
that MDIN180 Scaler cannot process. It also manages the whole system.
•Two types of FPGA Binary and DSP Binary is saved to the Parallel Flash Memory connected to the DSP
Processor.
•Key Control is controlled by MCU TMS320DM643.
•GPI Remote (CON3) consists parallel switches and controls the monitor from the outside.
•CON1 has assigned pins for RS-422 communication (including the pin needed for monitor upgrade).
Therefore, for the use of RS-422 functions or upgraded functions a suitable SUB Board is required.

PROGRAM UPDATE - USB
1) Connect the Update Board to LQM-071.
Warning: If the monitor’s power is ON during this process, there may be damage
caused to the monitor and the Update Board.
2) Connect the Update Board’s USB cable to the PC.
3) Connect the power supply to the monitor and switch ON.
4) Check if the D1 lamp lights up on the Update Board.
5) If there isn’t a driver for the Update Board installed on the PC, install it manually.

6) When the driver installation is complete, run the LQM-071W update program.

7) Select FPGA and CPU and select the SOURCE file that you wish to update by
clicking FILE OPEN. Select the “LATTICE Config File (*.bit)” format for FPGA
update files. Then select both “lcd_7qd_f20.bit” and “lcd_7qd_f35.bit”.

8) Press the DOWNLOAD button to send update SOURCE files to the Update Board.
9) Once the transmission is complete, the SOURCE will be saved in the Update
Board hence, the Update Board and the PC can be disconnected.
10) To download the SOURCE saved on the Update Board to LQM-071, press SW1
on the Board. D1 will then light up and after a set time the D1 lights up to
indicate that update is complete.
11) Do not switch off the power while update is in process.
12) Check that the version has been updated on LQM-071’s SYSTEM -> SYSTEM
VER. menu.

•After the Download is complete, the update is processed (the process of update
is displayed on SIZE/MSG).
-DSP
* Select CPU/GEN on PROGRAM STATUS.
* Select BANK0, then click FILE OPEN to load the CPU firmware.
•Download will run by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button (afterwards, the
procedure is the same as FPGA).

Calibration software installation

Step 1 TVLogic Calibration installation
1.1 Launch “CalibratorSetup.exe”.
1.2 Press “Next” when the “calibration program setup window” appears.
The calibration software requires these minimum hardware specifications:
CPU Pentium PC
System Windows 98SE/2000/ME/XP
Display All compatible 24 bit video card
Windows 98/2000/XP supporting 1024 x 768
resolution.

1.4 When the below message window pops up, the installation is successfully complete.
1.5 If “LicenseKey.tvl” file was received, copy the file into the directory “[installed
program directory]\Bin”.
Ex) C:\Program Files\Tvlogic\Calibrator\Bin
1.3 Designate the location where the program will be installed on your PC. Then,
click the “Next” button.
