Instructions in this user manual
WARNING
The mounting kit MKC5 is an accessory for the C5 loudspeaker.
It is characterized by a subtle look, a remarkable size to weight ratio and ease of use.

CAUTION
The MKC5 mounting kit was developed for use in professional sound systems. The moun-
ting kit may only be used by trained and qualified personnel.
Please adhere to the following safety instructions to avoid risks when using accessories.
Note the operating modes described in this assembly instructions. Other uses are not per-
missible.
Damage caused by improper use is not covered by TWAMBO.
Before every operation, check the scope of delivery of the MKC5 mounting kit for its comple-
teness and ensure that all parts are in perfect condition.
The scope of delivery includes specified components. Only use the recommended and cer-
tified components.
The MKC5 mounting kit may only used with the C5 loudspeaker.
This rigging manual describes how to use the MKC5 mounting kit correctly. Any other use
shall be deemed improper and may result in damage or even injury.
Modifications or alterations to individual parts of the MKC5 mounting kit are not permitted!
Danger to life!
The MKC5 mounting kit is designed both for indoor and outdoor use.
The MKC5 mounting kit may only be used by trained and qualified personnel. Personnel
must check the MKC5 mounting kit for suitability before each use.
The MKC5 mounting kit must be taken out of operation immediately as soon as visible
damage to the parts can be seen.
Please keep all elements of the MKC5 mounting kit away from children! The small parts can
easily be swallowed and lead to suffocation!

The spring washer must always be used as securing. This prevents the screws from loo-
sening. Spare parts you can get from TW AUDiO.
If the C5 loudspeaker is moved frequently, the screw connections may loosen! Check all
screw connections regularly. Tighten if loose. If this is no longer possible, the fastening ele-
ments (hexagon screw no. 1, hexagon nut no. 9, spring washer no. 8, ball pin no. 7) must
be replaced.

CAUTION
The payload of the MKC5 mounting kit is designed of not more than one C5 loudspeaker. Do
not exceed this payload.
Make sure that no water pipes, electrical lines or any other lines are behind the intended place
of mounting.
Only use wall plugs and screws which are suitable for the intended mounting and structural
fabric. All screws must be set and tightened properly. Ensure that the fixing holes have the
correct depth and diameter. Always use all fixing holes.
Before mounting the MKC5 mounting kit check that e.g. trusses or ceilings are capable to
carrying the payload of the components.
When moving (assembling, dismantling, maintaining) the MKC5 mounting kit with C5 loudspe-
aker, ensure sufficient space to prevent collisions with other objects.
Do not squeeze or twist the electrical cables of the C5 loudspeaker during the installation
of the MKC5 mounting kit! The respective national electrotechnical rules and regulations are
applicable.

2.2 Tool
An open-end wrench SW17 is required to mount the individual parts of the MKC5 moun-
ting kit.
An anti-twist protection is fixed at the ball pin and the hexagon screws. This prevents the ball
pin and screws from loosening.

3.1 Wall plate
Attach the wall plate to ceilings, walls or other suitable surfaces. Then attach the wall plate to
the C5 loudspeaker. Use the appropriate mounting material from our scope of delivery.

Mount the hexagon screw (see figure 2.1, No. 1), the wall plate (see figure 2.1, No. 3), the
spring washer (see figure 2.1, No. 8) and the ball mount (see figure 2.1, No. 6).
Tighten the screw sufficiently! (18Nm)

When attaching the wall plate to the wall or ceiling, observe the warnings listed in Chapter 1
and use the appropriate fastening material.
Use all four mounting holes!

Mount the ball pin (see figure 2.1, no. 7) at the C5 loudspeaker.
Tighten the ball pin sufficiently! (18 Nm)
Place the clamp with thumbscrew (see figure 2.1, No. 5) on the ball pin.

Plug the pre-assembled wall plate (see figure 3.1.4) onto the ball pin.
Slide the clamp with thumbscrew onto the ball mount.

3.2 Adapter bracket
Attach the adapter bracket to the C5 loudspeaker. Then mount the wall plate to the adap-
ter bracket so that the system setup can be attached to ceilings, walls or other suitable sur-
faces. Use the appropriate mounting material from our scope of delivery.

Mount the hexagon screw (see figure 2.1, No. 1), the wall plate (see figure 2.1, No. 3), the
spring washer (see figure 2.1, No. 8) and the ball mount (see figure 2.1, No. 6).
Tighten the screw sufficiently! (18Nm)

When attaching the wall plate to the wall or ceiling, observe the warnings listed in Chapter 1
and use the appropriate fastening material.
