Quick Start Guide

Thanks for purchasing UCEC Cassette Player and Recorder. Please read this
manual before use and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
You can use this machine:
1. Play the tape
2. Convert the tape music to mp3 and save it to the Micro SD card
3. Listen to AM/FM radio
4. Record external sound (your voice or environmental sound) and save to
Micro SD card
5. Record radio program and save to Micro SD card
6. Play digital music/mp3 files in Micro SD card
7. The above functions can’t use at the same time.

When you want to listen to the recorded file, put the Micro SD card into
the cassette player, and click the“Play / Stop playing”button in the
front of the cassette player. This means that you need to use the“3”
and“4”functions.

LED Indicator
Keep on: play tape, listen to radio, plug Micro SD card
Quick flash (2 times per second): Recording
Slow flash (1 time per second): Playback
Green: Default recording mode
Blue: Auto recording mode
Preparation before use
1. Put two AA batteries into the battery compartment or use the power
adapter to plug into the DC jack, and make sure that the power is supplied
correctly.
2. Put the tape in the cassette compartment
Note:
Please don’t use batteries and power supply adapter at the same time.
Please remove the batteries when using power adapter.
Always remove the Micro SD card when you are not using the device,
and it is also recommended to remove the battery. Because it will
oxidize.

Start working
The device is divided into TAPE mode and RADIO mode. The default mode
is TAPE mode. At this time, the switch is placed in the TAPE position and the
device is on standby.
In TAPE mode, you can play tapes, convert tape music to mp3 and save to
Micro SD card. Besides, you can also record external sounds and save to
Micro SD card. And play digital audio files saved in Micro SD card.
In RADIO mode, you can listen to FM and AM radio programs, record radio
programs to mp3 and save to Micro SD card, and play digital audio files
saved in Micro SD card.
In TAPE/RADIO mode, You also can play digital music/mp3 files in Micro
SD card.
TAPE mode
1, PLAY TAPE
Press PLAY tape button to play tape, green LED will be on, and you should
hear from speaker, you also can use an earphone to listen to music. Press
STOP tape button to stop playing.

2, CONVERT TAPE
Put Micro SD card into card slot, play tape, press RECORD button to start
recording (converting) the tape music to mp3 format. Press RECORD
button again to stop recording, and save a mp3 file in Micro SD card. At this
time, the LED will quick flash (2 times per second).
Press DOWN button to save a mp3 file and re-start the new recording when
you are recording.
Long time press DOWN button to set device to AUTO RECORDING MODE,
and blue LED will be on. Just press RECORD button, LED flashes blue
quickly, device will detect each interval between two songs, and will save
them in two files. So normally, if you have 6 songs at one side A of your tape,
after 6 songs played, will automatic save 7 mp3 files in your Micro SD card.
(There will be 7 files for a 6 songs tape, the FV0001~FV0006 will be the
effective MP3 files for 6 songs, the last one FV0007 is an empty one due to
the short space between the end of 6th song to the end of whole tape.)
Device will create a new folder name “TAPEMP3” in your USB disk, and
save each MP3 name “FV0001 to FV9999”

3, PLAYBACK
Press PLAY button (not PLAY tape button) to play the recorded mp3 files in
Micro SD card, and press again to stop playing. At the time, LED will slow
flashes (1 time per second). (When you want to listen to the recorded file,
put the Micro SD card into the cassette player, and click the“Play / Stop
playing”button in the front of the cassette player. This means that you need
to use the“3”and“4”functions. See 1st page picture.)
Note: Please don’t play tape when you play the recorded mp3 files.
4, RECORD EXTERNAL SOUNDS (YOUR VOICE or ENVIRENMENTAL
SOUND)
In TAPE mode, and don’t play tape, press RECORD button, and device will
start record your voice, and press RECORD button again to stop recording
and save a mp3 file in Micro SD card.
You also can playback the recorded sound. Click the “Play / Stop playing”
button in the front of the cassette player. This means that you need to use
the“3”button function. See 1st page picture.

RADIO mode
1, LISTEN RADIO
Put FM / AM switch on FM or AM according to your needs, and open the
antenna to a suitable angle (Don’t need to open antenna if you listen to AM
programs, the antenna for AM receiving is inside), turn the radio tuning knob
to search radio stations unit you hear the radio program you want.
2, RECORD RADIO
1) Press RECORD button to start recording radio when you are listening
radio, green LED will quick flash.
2)Press RECORD button again to stop recording, and save a mp3 file in
Micro SD card.
3)You also can playback the recorded radio program.

Frequently Asked Questions
1, Cannot boot
Please check if the battery is charged or the power adapter is properly
connected.
2, No sound
Please check whether the volume knob is at the minimum volume.
3, No radio program or unclear
Please confirm whether there is radio signal or strong interference at your
location.
Buildings with concrete structures, electromagnetic signals, operating
electrical equipment, etc. will cause shielding or interference to the radio
signal.
4, Cannot record
Please confirm format and space of the Micro SD card according to the
specifications.
5, Recorded mp3 files
The device will playback the mp3 file the last one you recorded. Please use
UP or DOWN button to select the file you want to play. When you want to
listen to the recorded file, put the Micro SD card into the cassette player,
and click the“Play / Stop playing”button in the front of the cassette player.
This means that you need to use the“3”and“4”button functions. See 1st

page picture.
6, Micro SD card
You only can use the max 32GB Micro SD card. Higher Storage SD card
can’t support. Please make sure your Micro SD card has good quality and
stability. Otherwise, may occur the issue of skips and blank areas on every
tape you're converted.
7, Noise/hissvoice
IF you playing and listening the tapes/radio with noise voice, you need to
check the earphone.
1) We recommend you use the 3-pole earphone. If the 3-pole earphone has
a noise issue, we recommend you use the 4-pole earphone.
2) If the 4-pole earphone also has this issue, you need to use 4-Pole
Earphone Jack Adapter(Free Gift).
3) Note: it would not touch well sometimes, you need to turn little around
the earphone.
4) if you tapes too old, it also have this issue.
