MX-101B digital console is equipped with a digital keyboard, LCD display and
unidirectional paging microphone with chime pre-announcement. MX-101B digital console
was built to be connected to MX-100B matrix and BUS CAN UDE modular system.

IMPORTANT: ress key 9 on console and enter default password “1, 2, 3, 4” to set up all those
parameters mentioned above.

Important:
Choose level “ ” for each input of the rear panel.
- Connect RS-232 or RS-485 port of the matrix to a PC which must include SF-101software.
- Turn on PC and matrix (note 5).
- Inputs with MX-101B consoles: Inputs with remote control.
- Routing inputs to each Matrix outputs (8 or 16), indicating priority level of each output.
- Set up others matrix inputs as corresponding.
- Name of each zone, group, console, screen saver, etc.
- Next transfer the labels of each console.
- Language menus.
- Maximum number of zones (8 or 16 depends of MX-100B matrix 8x8 or 16x16).
- Access to matrix logical control remote (free-password).
- Access to music control (free-password).
- Call groups: 19 groups (note 4)
- Restriction zones (all restricted zones on group 20)
- Pre-announcement chime (without chime, chime 1, chime 2).
- Set up password.

- Press arrows up or down to select a sub-menu and press “ ” to enter your selection.
- Press arrows up or down to scroll on the sub-menu and press “ ” to confirm the setting.
- Press “ ” to exit or cancel selection.
Reset matrix and console to accept all parameters modified.

Default MX-101B parameters are the following:
- Console is programmed to operate matrix MX-100B.
- Microphone + Chime 1 (normal).
- Console works on operation
- Number of zones: 16.
- Access to logical control remote = Free.
- Access to music control = Free.
- Password: 1,2, 3, 4.
All parameters indicated above, could be programmed without SF-101 software. Consult MX-101B console
and MX-100B matrix user manuals .
Using the keyboard of the MX-101B console is possible to assign music inputs and routing them to outputs, on
programming mode. Usually it is made using SF-101 software or matrix MX-100.
Number of console is not used with matrix.
Is recommended to use (scrolling zones).
Enter on sub-menu “ , press “ ” to select zones and enter “ ” to confirm selection.
PC and Matrix must be switched “ ” before plug or unplug RS-232 connector.

. Press to enter on the selection of zones if user is on a different sub-menu.
Press keys to move the name of the zones.
Press “ ” to select or unselect the zone located on central line of LCD display, selection is indicated with
character “ ”, if any zone is not available is indicated with character “ ”.
Press “ ” key after finishing selection.
Message “ ” will be display, after green pilot “ ” light up. (Note 7 y 9).

Press key “ ”. LCD display shows menu, selection of groups.
Press “ ” key to move the name of the groups.
Press key “ ” to select group desired.
Pressing talk “ ” key LCD display will show , the names of the zones including the group selected,
“ ”...etc.
When chime finishes, green pilot “ ” light up.
Press key “ ” on keyboard (note 8) to access control remote menu, allow visualizing names of all of them and
status ON/OFF indicated with character “ ”.
Press ” ” to select control remote.
Press Key “ ” to turn ON/OFF remote control
Press key “ ” (note 8) to enter on control remote music sources menu.
Matrix input names are display on the screen.
All inputs which are not music sources (consoles,GD-26) show the character “ ” on the right hand side. They
are not available in this menu.
All music inputs available show character “ ” on the right hand side. Press key “ ” to modified status ON/OFF.
Press “ ” key to exit of main menu, screen saver, etc., select different menus, sequentially.
Screen saver will be ON if there is a period of any activity about 2 minutes. On screen saver can be entered
name of entity, technical support telephone number, etc.
Press any key to exit from screen saver.
They are not used for console installation directly.
They are used to check some information of MX-101B console or set up menu. Read user manual.

Indicates use “sliding zones” because it is the most interactive of all three operating modes available.
Read user manual to consult other operating modes.
When an announcement is made, screen can display complementary information like “priority notice” and
symbols referring to active zones, priorities, etc, which are related with matrix process of different consoles
which are connected. Read user manual.
LCD display will show “ ” if system is protected. Must enter four digits followed by the character
“ ” (enter same password used to get in programming of console parameters.
Default password is ( ). Press key “ ” to cancel input.
After selecting one or more zones they are kept, if user wants to make a new announcement of pre-selected
zones should press key “ ”. Pre-selection of zones can be cancel pressing key “ ”.
