1 • Description
The Data Logger is the computing device aimed to be mounted onto the UAV allowing to
integrate various types of payloads. It connects to the flight controller from the one side and
to payloads from the other.
Data Logger functions:
• Getting data from a payload
• Getting flight parameters from a flight controller
• Information converting and recording in a format useful for processing and analysis
• Implementing custom flight control algorithms
• Additional UAV diagnostics

Stick a velcro to the Data Logger’s top side.

Mount the Data Logger onto the drone and connect the cables.
Connect the Data Logger to drone’s power outlet using included power cable.

Any other payload may be connected to Ethernet, I²C, or UART1 connector.

1. If you are going to use the customized cable cover, unscrew the original cable cover
using a 1.5 hex driver. The screws will be used to fix the customized cable cover in
place.

2. Snap the Data Logger on the right leg of the drone.

3. Open the leg brace, slide the Data Logger up and close the leg brace. Check that the
retaining tab is fixed by the leg brace and the brace is closed completely.

4. Snap the wire assembly onto the rear right propeller arm. Ensure that the gray Data
Logger connectors are on the Data Logger side.

6. Move it towards the propeller and close the fastener to fix it in place.

8. Put the 3-pin rectangular connector through the hole in the cable cover. Pushing it in
as far as it goes will make it easier to plug the connector into the drone.

10. Push the cable cover over the connector making sure that the connector is fully
seated.

11. Push the cable cover fully into place. Screw the cable cover to the drone using the
screws from the original.

12. Make the connections to the Data Logger. Attention! The data connectors have
different number of pins. Be sure to use the appropriate connectors and to line up the
red dots.

Removing TTF for transportaion
TTF can be either fully or partly removed for transporting by following the steps in reverse.
Laser rangefinder clamp can be opened by hand or using a flat-head screwdriver.
