Quick Installation & Start Guide
The UgMO UG1000B-A Bridge is part of the UG1000 family of products. The Bridge is responsible for
ma ing the internet connection between the UG1000 system and UgMO Knows.

UG1000 Internet Bridge
The UG1000B-A Internet Bridge serves as the gateway or avenue by which all networ and sensor data is passed to the
UgMO Data Base. Each Bridge contains an embedded Linux processor. The bridge also serves as a repeater in any
networ and can forward data pac ets toward their final destinations.
To install the Bridge, you will need a 110 Volt AC power source that is near a router or other direct Ethernet connection.
Using the supplied 5 Volt transformer, insert the barrel connector into correct port located on the bottom of the Bridge and
the two-pronged bloc into the nearest 110 Volt outlet. Next, plug one end of an Ethernet cable into a router using your
WAN and the other end into the Ethernet slot located on the bottom of the bridge. Finally, to mount the hardware you can
use a screw and the eyhole slot in the bac of the bridge or simply hang the Bridge from the supplied plastic stand.
Once powered, a red LED on the front of the bridge will aluminate followed by a series of Green LEDs as the bridge
searches the area for any existing hardware or networ s. The LEDs are very helpful in determining the current state and
operation of the bridge.
The USB port is intended for use with a USB memory stic . It is a host port that must not be connected to a personal
computer. The Ethernet port is intended to be connected to a DHCP server to obtain an IP address to establish Internet
connectivity. It should not be directly connected to a personal computer.

with the su lied antenna will ensure that this requirement is met.
This equi ment generates and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions,
may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
articular installation.
If this equi ment does cause harmful interference to radio or television rece tion, which can be determined by turning the
equi ment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures.
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
• Increase the se aration between the equi ment and receiver
• Connect the equi ment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected
• Consult the dealer or an ex erienced radio/TV technician for hel
Any changes or modifications not ex ressly a roved by the arty res onsible for com liance could void the user’s authority to
o erate the equi ment. A se aration distance of 20 cm should be observed to maintain com liance with the FCC’s RF ex osure
guidelines set out in OET Bulletin 65.
