The following precautions must always be taken in consideration before using the “Umuzi – Steam iron
station”, hereinafter referred to as the ‘device’.
WARNING!
General information
• Read the instructions for use carefully and keep them safe. If you give this device to other people, please
also pass on this manual.
• Only use this device in accordance with the instructions in this user manual.
• The guarantee will expire immediately if damage has been caused by failing to comply with this user
manual. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by non-compliance with the user
manual, negligent use or use which does not comply with conditions in this user manual.
• This device can be used by children aged 8 and over and people with restricted physical, sensory or
mental capacity or a lack of experience and expertise, provided they are under supervision or have been
given instructions about safely using the device and are aware of the potential hazards. Children must not
play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance must not be done by children unless they are over the
age of 8 and under supervision.
• Parts of this device can become hot.
Do not touch these parts to avoid burning yourself.
• Danger of scalding by steam.
• Keep hands and other body parts away from hot steam to avoid burning yourself.

• This device is intended for domestic or similar use, not for professional use.

Electricity and heat
• Prior to use, check that the mains voltage is the same as the mains voltage stated on the name plate of
the device.
• Make sure your hands are dry before touching the device, power cord or plug.
• Plug the power plug into an earthed electrical outlet that is easily accessible at all times.
•WARNING! Never cover the power plug or cable with cloths, curtains or any other material in order
to prevent overheating and potential fire hazards.
• Make sure that the device and power cable do not come into contact with heat sources, like a hot hob or
naked flame.
•WARNING!Do not cover the device to prevent overheating and potential fire hazards.
• Check the power cord regularly for damage.
• Never use the device if the power cord shows signs of damage, if the device has fallen on the ground or
shows any other signs of damage. Send the device to the manufacturer or the closest qualified service
centre for inspection or repair.
• Remove the power plug from the electrical outlet if you discover any faults during use, find any signs of
damage, are not using the device or are cleaning it.
• Make sure the power cord cannot be trodden on or pinched.
• Do not allow the power cord to hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and naked
flames.
• When plugging in the power plug, make sure people cannot accidentally pull it out or trip over it.
• Prevent the power cord from making contact with water, hot surfaces or steam.
• Always remove the power plug from the electrical outlet:
o after you have used the device;
o before you move the device;
o before you store the device;
o before you clean or maintain the device.
• Remove the power plug from the electrical outlet during lightning storms or if the device is not used for
a long period of time.
• Prevent overload by not connecting too many devices in a group
• Use a 10 amp cable if an extension cable is required. Cables with a lower amp rating may burn out.
• When using an extension cable, make sure it is completely extended.
•WARNING!Do not open the casing as this may result in electric shock.
•WARNING!To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, protect the device from dripping or
splashing water and damp environments and keep away from objects filled with liquids, such as vases.
Such objects should not be placed on or near the device.

Use
• Do not use the device in the vicinity of flammable materials.
• Do not leave the device unattended when it is in use.
• Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. This can cause a fatal electric shock!
• Do not touch the device if it has fallen into water. Disconnect the device from the electrical outlet
and do not use it again.
• Do not use the device in the immediate vicinity of heat sources like naked flames (such as hobs).
• Place the device on a flat and stable surface, on a location where it cannot fall over.
• Never leave the device unattended whilst it is in use.
• Do not operate the device with wet hands.
• When operating, do not touch or block the steam outlets by hand or any other means.
• Keep your work area well illuminated.
• Never direct steam towards people, animals, plants, wall sockets, electric wiring or appliances
containing electric components.
• Never fill the water tank with hot water, scent, vinegar, starch, descaler, fabric softener or other chemical
reagent; this will make operation unsafe and damage the device. Always use clean drinking water to
fill the water tank of the device. In areas featuring hard water, distilled water should be used for better
performance.
• Never block the steam openings of the device.
• The device must not be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking
water.
• Do not switch ON the device until accessories have been fitted properly.
• Do not lean on the device.
• Never direct the steam at one point for too long.
• Once you have finished using the device, remove the power plug from the electrical outlet and allow the
device to cool down.
• Never insert objects in any of the device’s openings.
• Once you have finished using the device, empty any remaining water from the water tank.
• Clean the device thoroughly after use.
Warning Risk of injury! Never hold your hand in front of the steam nozzle or soleplate.
• Never use the device in damp conditions or humid rooms.
•WARNING! This device is NOT intended to be used in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar humid
indoor locations.
• Do not expose the device to direct sunlight, heat sources, excessive humidity or corrosive environments.
• Do not place the device under any mechanical stress.
• Please handle the device carefully. Jolts, impacts or falls, even from a low height, can damage the
device.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device or modify it in any manner.
• The device must be serviced if it has been damaged in any way, i.e. if the power supply cord/plug is
damaged; objects have fallen into it; it has been exposed to rain or moisture; it has been dropped or does
not operate properly.
• Only allow repairs to be carried out by a qualified service centre. Qualified service centre: after-sales
department of the manufacturer or store, which is recognised and authorised to carry out such repairs so

that potential hazards can be prevented. If problems are encountered with the device, please return it to
this department.
• Do not crush, puncture or dismantle the device; this might damage the device.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the device.
• Do not use foreign objects to clean the device.
Important information, follow these instructions
• This device can be used by children aged 8 and over and people with restricted physical, sensory or

• This device is not a toy and should be kept under strict supervision to prevent children from using the
device as a toy.
• Never allow children to use domestic appliances as toys or without supervision. Children are unable to
judge the hazards associated with incorrectly using electric appliances.
• Only use the device indoors, in dry areas and not in the vicinity of water, other liquids or humidity.
• Do not use the device if it, the cable or power plug has fallen into water or any kind of fluid.
• Never immerse the device, cable and power plug in water or any kind of fluid.
• Do not pick up the device if it has fallen into water or any kind of fluid. Remove the power plug from the
electrical outlet immediately. Do not use the device again.
•Caution!Keep hands and other body parts away from hot steam to avoid burning yourself
• Remove the power plug from the electrical outlet if the device is not used for a long period of time.
• When removing the power plug from the electrical outlet, pull the plug itself, not the cable.
• Do not operate the device using an external time switch or a separate remote control system.
3) INSTALLING AND USING THE DEVICE
Open the packaging carefully before taking out the device. Make sure the device is complete and
undamaged. If any components are missing or damaged, contact the vendor and do not use the product.
Retain the packaging or recycle it in accordance with local regulations.

Before use:
• Remove the device and accessories from the box. Remove any stickers, protective film or plastic from
the device.
•Makesuretheplugisremovedfromtheelectricaloutlet.
• Before you use the device for the first time, wipe all the removable parts with a damp cloth. Never use
aggressive or abrasive cleaning materials, a scouring sponge or steel wool; these damages the device.
• Place the device on a flat and stable surface, on a location where it cannot fall over.
Filling the water tank
To add water to the water tank (1), remove the detachable water tank by pulling the water tank handle (3).
Add water into the water tank (1) by holding the filling aperture (2) under the running water tap or by
using a measuring cup until it has been filled to the maximum level (1.2 L). Then insert the water tank back
by pressing it in the base unit until you hear a click.
Note! Do not exceed the “MAX” water level indicated on the water tank.

Temperature dial
Turn the temperature dial (D) to the set ironing temperature, corresponding with the garment to be ironed.

Temperature indicator
When the device is heating up, the temperature indicator
(B) lights up.
Once the device has reached the temperature set by the
temperature dial (D),
the indicator will no longer light up.
During use, the temperature indicator (B) will light up again, indicating it is heating in order to maintain
the set desired temperature.
• The device heats up quicker than it cools down. Therefore, start with ironing articles that require a lower
temperature.
• If the article consists of various fabrics, you must always select the lowest required ironing temperature.
• Synthetic fibers and silk fabrics should be ironed on the inside to prevent them from getting a sheen.
• Velvet and other textures that rapidly become shiny should be ironed in one direction while applying
light pressure. Keep the iron moving at all times.
• Pure wool fabrics (100% wool) may be ironed with the steam iron. Use a dry cloth as a mat and then
select the corresponding fabric setting for ironing.
• Never iron over zippers or rivets in the cloth. This will damage the soleplate. Iron around any such object.
• When ironing woolen fabrics, the fabric could get a sheen. We suggest turning the article inside out and
ironing the reverse side.
Steam trigger
When the device is heated to the set temperature and the temperature indicator (B) no longer lights up,
hold the steam trigger (C) to emit steam from the soleplate (A) while ironing.
When the steam trigger (C) is released, the device can be used for (dry) ironing without steam.
During use, the temperature indicator (B) will light up again, indicating it is heating in order to maintain
the set desired temperature.
Cord clip
When the device is not in use, the power cord and steam supply hose can be stored in the cord clips (4)
Correct placement of the iron on the thermal isolation stand
When the device is placed on the thermal isolation (5), it must be placed correctly to prevent it from
falling from the base.

Beforerstuse
Make sure the water tank (1) is filled with cold water.
Turn the temperature dial (D) to the maximum temperature (IV) and allow the device to heat up.
Once the temperature indicator (B) switches o, hold the steam trigger (C) and iron over a piece of damp
cloth, for several minutes. This to ensure that possible residue in the device and soleplate is removed.
Note! It is normal that a strange odor is released from the device when used for the first time. This will
cease after a short while.
Note! Some particles may come out of the soleplate when the device is used for the first time. These
particles are harmless and stop coming out after a short while.
Ironing
The device can be used for 2 ironing methods; dry ironing & steam ironing.
Dry ironing
Place the device on a flat and stable surface, on a location where it cannot fall over.
Put the iron correctly on the thermal isolation (5).
Connect the power plug to an earthed electrical outlet.
Turn the temperature dial (D) to the desired temperature, corresponding with the fabric to be ironed.
When the temperature indicator (B) switches o, the device is at the set temperature and you can start
ironing.
During use, the temperature indicator (B) will light up again, indicating it is heating in order to maintain
the set desired temperature.
Steam ironing
Place the device on a flat and stable surface, on a location where it cannot fall over.
Make sure the water tank (1) is filled with cold water.
Put the iron correctly on the thermal isolation (5).
Connect the power plug to an earthed electrical outlet.
Turn the temperature dial (D) to the desired temperature, depending on the fabric to be ironed.
When the temperature indicator (B) switches o, the device is at the set temperature.
When pulling and holding the steam trigger button (C), steam will emit, and you can start ironing with
steam.

During use, the temperature indicator (B) will light up again, indicating it is heating in order to maintain
the set desired temperature.
Note! Always check and observe the label with ironing instructions before you start ironing.
Note! Water may drip while spraying steam, when the temperature is lower than the set temperature. This
is normal.
Warning! Do not pull the steam trigger when the device is placed on the thermal isolation.
Onceyouhavenishedironing,unplugthepowerplugfromtheelectricaloutlet,sothedeviceis
switchedoandabletocooldown.
The soleplate will still be hot, never touch it, otherwise you run the risk of burning yourself.
4) CLEANING - MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning the device, always disconnect it from the mains electricity supply and allow it to
cool down fully.
Cleaning
• Turn the temperature dial (D) to the minimum (I).
• Drain the remaining water from the water tank (1) and clean the tank after each use.
• Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning materials or sharp objects like hard brushes or knives.
• Wipe residues and any other deposits o the soleplate (A) using a damp cloth or a non-abrasive (liquid)
cleaner.
•Donotusechemical,steel,woodenorabrasivecleanerstoscrapethesoleplate(A).
• Clean the exterior of the casing with a damp cloth.
• Then dry the exterior with a dry cloth.
• Place the power cord & steam supply hose in the cord clips (4).

• When storing the device, it should first be cleaned in accordance with this user manual. The device
should be stored in its original packaging.
• Always store the device in a dry and well-ventilated room and beyond the reach of children.
• Protect the device against vibrations and shocks during transport.

Elektriciteit en warmte
• Controleer vóór gebruik of de netspanning gelijk is aan de spanning vermeld op het typeplaatje van het
apparaat.
• Zorg ervoor dat uw handen droog zijn voordat u het apparaat, het stroomsnoer of de stekker aanraakt.
• Steek de stekker in een geaard stopcontact dat op elk moment gemakkelijk bereikbaar is.
•WAARSCHUWING!Bedek de stekker of het stroomsnoer nooit met doeken, gordijnen of enig ander
materiaal om oververhitting en mogelijk zelfs brand te voorkomen.
• Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat en het stroomsnoer niet in aanraking komen met hittebronnen, zoals een
hete kookplaat of open vuur.
•WAARSCHUWING! Dek het apparaat niet af om oververhitting en brandgevaar te voorkomen.
• Controleer het stroomsnoer regelmatig op beschadigingen.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet als het snoer of de stekker beschadigingen vertoont of als het apparaat op
de grond is gevallen of andere sporen van schade vertoont. Stuur het apparaat naar de fabrikant of het
dichtstbijzijnde servicecentrum voor inspectie of reparatie.
• Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact als u tijdens het gebruik fouten ontdekt, tekenen van beschadiging
aantreft, het apparaat niet gebruikt of het schoonmaakt.
• Zorg ervoor dat niemand op het stroomsnoer kan gaan staan of dat het snoer anderszins beklemd kan
raken.
• Laat het stroomsnoer niet over scherpe randen hangen en houd het uit de buurt van hete voorwerpen
en open vuur.
• Wanneer u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt, moet u ervoor zorgen dat anderen deze niet per ongeluk
los kunnen trekken of over het stroomsnoer kunnen struikelen.
• Voorkom dat het stroomsnoer in aanraking komt met water, hete oppervlakken of stoom.
• Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact:
o nadat u het apparaat hebt gebruikt;
o voordat u het apparaat verplaatst;
o voordat u het apparaat opbergt;
o voordat u het apparaat schoonmaakt of onderhoudt.
• Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact als het onweert of als u het apparaat gedurende langere tijd niet
gebruikt.
• Voorkom overbelasting door niet te veel apparaten op één groep aan te sluiten.
• Gebruik een snoer van 10 ampère als er een verlengsnoer nodig is. Snoeren met een lager amperage
kunnen doorbranden.
• Wanneer u een verlengsnoer gebruikt, rol dit dan volledig uit.

•WAARSCHUWING!Open de behuizing niet. Als u dit wel doet, loopt u kans op een elektrische
schok.
•WAARSCHUWING! Om de kans op brand of een elektrische schok te verminderen moet u het
apparaat beschermen tegen druppelend of opspattend water en uit de buurt houden van vochtige
omgevingen en met water gevulde voorwerpen, zoals vazen. Dergelijke voorwerpen mogen niet op of in
de buurt van het apparaat worden geplaatst.
Gebruik
• Gebruik het apparaat niet in de buurt van brandbare materialen.
• Laat het apparaat nooit onbeheerd achter als het in gebruik is.
• Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of een andere vloeistof. Dit kan een dodelijke elektrische
schok veroorzaken!
• Raak het apparaat niet aan als het in water is gevallen. Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact en
gebruik het apparaat niet meer.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet in de buurt van hittebronnen zoals open vuur (gasfornuis) of kookplaten.
• Plaats het apparaat op een stabiele en vlakke ondergrond, op een plek waar het niet kan vallen.
• Laat het apparaat nooit onbewaakt achter als het in gebruik is.
• Bedien het apparaat niet met natte handen.
• Raak de stoomuitlaat tijdens het gebruik van het apparaat niet met de hand of op andere wijze aan en
blokkeer deze niet.
• Houd de werkplek goed verlicht.
• Richt het apparaat nooit op mensen, dieren, planten, stopcontacten, elektrische bedrading of apparaten
met elektrische componenten.
• Doe nooit warm water, geurstof, azijn, zetmeel, ontkalker, wasverzachter of andere chemische middelen
in het reservoir. Dit is onveilig en kan het apparaat beschadigen. Gebruik altijd schoon drinkwater voor
het vullen van het waterreservoir. Gebruik in gebieden met hard water gedestilleerd water voor betere
prestaties.
• Blokkeer nooit de stoomopeningen van het apparaat.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet bij zichtbare sporen van schade of lekkage of als u het hebt laten vallen.
• Zet het apparaat pas AAN als alle hulpstukken goed zijn bevestigd.
• Leun niet op het apparaat.
• Richt de stoom nooit te lang op één punt.
• Haal nadat u het apparaat hebt gebruikt de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat afkoelen.
• Steek nooit voorwerpen in de openingen van het apparaat.
• Leeg nadat u het apparaat hebt gebruikt het reservoir als dat nog water bevat.
• Reinig het apparaat grondig na gebruik.
Waarschuwing: kans op letsel! Houd nooit uw hand voor het mondstuk of de zoolplaat.
• Gebruik het apparaat nooit in vochtige ruimten of omstandigheden.
•WAARSCHUWING!Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld om te worden gebruikt in de badkamer, in de buurt
van wasmachines en andere vochtige plekken binnenshuis.
• Bescherm het apparaat tegen direct zonlicht, warmtebronnen, overmatige vochtigheid en corrosieve
omgevingen.

• Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat niet wordt blootgesteld aan enige mechanische belasting.
• Ga voorzichtig met het apparaat om. Het apparaat kan beschadigd raken door een schok, stoot of val,
zelfs van een geringe hoogte.
• Probeer het apparaat niet te demonteren, te repareren of anderszins aan te passen.
• Het apparaat moet worden gerepareerd als er sprake is van enige vorm van schade, wanneer
bijvoorbeeld het stroomsnoer of de stekker is beschadigd, voorwerpen in het apparaat zijn gevallen,
het apparaat is blootgesteld aan regen of vocht, het apparaat is gevallen of het apparaat niet goed
functioneert.
• Laat reparaties uitsluitend uitvoeren door een gekwalificeerd servicecentrum. Erkend servicecentrum:
serviceafdeling van de fabrikant of winkel die erkend en bevoegd is om dergelijke reparaties uit te voeren,
zodat mogelijke gevaren worden vermeden. Als u problemen met het apparaat ondervindt, breng het dan
naar dit servicecentrum.
• Het apparaat mag niet klem komen te zitten of worden gedemonteerd; hierdoor kan het beschadigd
raken.
• Gebruik geen schurende schoonmaakmiddelen om het apparaat te reinigen.
• Gebruik geen vreemde voorwerpen om het apparaat te reinigen.

• Kinderen in de buurt van het apparaat moeten altijd door een volwassene in de gaten worden gehouden.
• Laat kinderen dit apparaat niet zonder toezicht schoonmaken of onderhouden.
• Dit apparaat is geen speelgoed. Houd kinderen altijd in de gaten om te voorkomen dat ze met het
apparaat spelen.
• Zorg ervoor dat kinderen nooit gaan spelen met huishoudelijke apparatuur; houd altijd toezicht.
Kinderen zijn niet in staat de gevaren te beoordelen die gepaard gaan met onjuist gebruik van elektrische
apparaten.
• Gebruik het apparaat uitsluitend binnenshuis, in droge gebieden en niet in de buurt van water, andere
vloeistoen of vocht.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet als het apparaat, het stroomsnoer of de stekker in water of een andere
vloeistof is gevallen.
• Dompel het apparaat, het snoer of de stekker nooit onder in water of een andere vloeistof.
• Pak het apparaat niet op als het in het water of een andere vloeistof is gevallen. Haal de stekker
onmiddellijk uit het stopcontact. Gebruik het apparaat niet meer.
•Voorzichtig!Houd handen en andere lichaamsdelen uit de buurt van de hete stoom om
brandwonden te voorkomen.
• Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact als u het apparaat gedurende langere tijd niet gebruikt.
• Wanneer u de stekker uit het stopcontact haalt, trek dan aan de stekker en niet aan het snoer.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet met een externe tijdschakelaar of een afzonderlijke afstandsbediening.

Vóór gebruik:
• Haal het apparaat en de accessoires uit de doos. Verwijder eventuele stickers, beschermfolie of plastic
van het apparaat.

een vochtige doek. Gebruik nooit agressieve of schurende schoonmaakmiddelen, een schuurspons of
staalwol. Deze kunnen het apparaat beschadigen.
• Plaats het apparaat op een stabiele en vlakke ondergrond, op een plek waar het niet kan vallen.

3) INSTALLATIE EN GEBRUIK VAN HET APPARAAT
Open de verpakking voorzichtig en haal het apparaat eruit. Controleer of het apparaat volledig en
onbeschadigd is. Mochten er onderdelen beschadigd zijn of ontbreken, neem dan contact op met de
verkoper en gebruik het product niet. Bewaar de verpakking of recycle deze zoals voorgeschreven door
lokale regelgeving.

Het waterreservoir vullen
Als u het waterreservoir (1) wilt vullen, verwijdert u het afneembare waterreservoir door aan de
handgreep van het waterreservoir (3) te trekken.
Houd de vulopening (2) onder de kraan of gebruik een maatbeker om het waterreservoir (1) tot de MAX-
lijn te vullen (1,2 l). Klik het waterreservoir vervolgens weer vast in het basisstation.
Let op! Vul het waterreservoir nooit tot boven de MAX-lijn.
Temperatuurdraaiknop
Draai aan de temperatuurdraaiknop (D) om de juiste strijktemperatuur in te stellen voor het soort stof dat
u gaat strijken.

Temperatuurindicator
Als het apparaat aan het opwarmen is, brandt de
temperatuurindicator (B).
Zodra de temperatuur die is ingesteld met de
temperatuurdraaiknop (D) is bereikt,
gaat de indicator uit.
Tijdens het gebruik zal de temperatuurindicator (B) weer gaan branden om aan te geven dat het apparaat
aan het bijwarmen is om de ingestelde temperatuur te handhaven.
• Het opwarmen gaat sneller dan het afkoelen van het apparaat. Strijk daarom eerst de items die op een
lagere temperatuur moeten worden gestreken.
• Als een item uit verschillende stoen bestaat, moet u altijd de laagst vereiste strijktemperatuur
selecteren.
• Synthetische stoen en zijde moeten binnenstebuiten worden gestreken om te voorkomen dat ze gaan
glimmen.
• Fluweel en andere texturen die snel gaan glimmen, moeten in één richting worden gestreken terwijl u
lichte druk uitoefent. Houd het strijkijzer voortdurend in beweging.
• Volledig wollen stoen (100% wol) kunnen met het stoomstrijkijzer worden gestreken. Gebruik een droge
doek als tussenlaag en selecteer de temperatuur voor de betreende stof om het item te strijken.
• Strijk nooit over ritsen of rivetten in de kleding. Hierdoor raakt de zoolplaat beschadigd. Strijk om
dergelijke objecten heen.
• Als u wol strijkt, kan de stof gaan glimmen. We raden aan het item binnenstebuiten te strijken.

Stoomknop
Houd de stoomknop (C) ingedrukt als het apparaat de ingestelde temperatuur heeft bereikt en de
temperatuurindicator (B) uit is om stoom uit de zoolplaat (A) te laten komen tijdens het strijken.
Laat de stoomknop (C) los om droog te strijken (zonder stoom).
Tijdens het gebruik zal de temperatuurindicator (B) weer gaan branden om aan te geven dat het apparaat
aan het bijwarmen is om de ingestelde temperatuur te handhaven.
Snoerklem
Als het apparaat niet wordt gebruikt, kunnen het stroomsnoer en de stoomslang worden opgeborgen in
de snoerklemmen (4)
Correcte plaatsing van het strijkijzer op de thermische isolatie
Als het apparaat op de thermische isolatie (5) wordt geplaatst, moet dit op de juiste manier worden
gedaan om te voorkomen dat het apparaat van het station valt.
Voor het eerste gebruik
Zorg dat het waterreservoir (1) is gevuld met koud water.
Draai de temperatuurdraaiknop (D) naar de maximale temperatuur (IV) en wacht tot het apparaat is
opgewarmd.
De temperatuurindicator (B) gaat dan uit. Houd de stoomknop (C) ingedrukt en strijk enkele minuten
over een vochtige doek. Het doel hiervan is om eventuele resten in het apparaat en op de zoolplaat te
verwijderen.
Let op! Het is normaal dat het apparaat een vreemde geur afgeeft als het voor het eerst wordt gebruikt.
Na enige tijd gaat dit over.
Let op! Bij het eerste gebruik kunnen er deeltjes uit de zoolplaat komen. Deze deeltjes zijn niet schadelijk
en na enige tijd zullen er geen deeltjes meer uit de zoolplaat komen.
Strijken
Het apparaat kan voor twee strijkmethodes worden gebruikt: droog strijken en stoomstrijken.

Droog strijken
Plaats het apparaat op een stabiele en vlakke ondergrond, op een plek waar het niet kan vallen.
Plaats het strijkijzer op de juiste manier op de thermische isolatie (5).
Steek de stekker in een geaard stopcontact.
Draai aan de temperatuurdraaiknop (D) om de gewenste temperatuur in te stellen voor het soort stof dat
u gaat strijken.
Als de temperatuurindicator (B) uit gaat, heeft het apparaat de ingestelde temperatuur bereikt en kunt u
gaan strijken.
Tijdens het gebruik zal de temperatuurindicator (B) weer gaan branden om aan te geven dat het apparaat

Stoomstrijken

Houd de stoomknop (C) ingedrukt om stoom uit de zoolplaat te laten komen. U kunt nu gaan
stoomstrijken.
Tijdens het gebruik zal de temperatuurindicator (B) weer gaan branden om aan te geven dat het apparaat
aan het bijwarmen is om de ingestelde temperatuur te handhaven.
Let op! Controleer vóór het strijken altijd de strijkinstructies op het etiket.
Let op! Als de temperatuur lager is dan de ingestelde temperatuur, kan er water uit de stoomopeningen
druppelen. Dat is normaal.
Waarschuwing! Druk niet op de stoomknop als het apparaat op de thermische isolatie staat.
Trek na het strijken de stekker uit het stopcontact zodat het apparaat wordt uitgeschakeld en kan
afkoelen.
De zoolplaat is nog heet. Raak het nooit aan, anders loopt u het risico u te verbranden.
4) REINIGING EN ONDERHOUD
Voordat u het apparaat gaat reinigen, moet u altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact trekken en het
apparaat volledig laten afkoelen.
Schoonmaken
• Draai de temperatuurdraaiknop (D) naar de laagste stand (I).
• Verwijder na elk gebruik het overgebleven water uit het reservoir (1) en maak het reservoir schoon.
• Gebruik nooit agressieve of schurende materialen of scherpe objecten zoals harde borstels of messen.
•Gebruikeenvochtigedoekofeenniet-schurende(vloeibare)reinigeromeventuelerestenvande
zoolplaat(A)teverwijderen.

Dit product is vervaardigd van kwalitatief hoogwaardige materialen en onderdelen
die gerecycled en opnieuw gebruikt kunnen worden. Aan het eind van de
levensduur van dit product, mag het niet worden meegegeven met het normale
huishoudelijk afval, maar moet het naar een speciaal inzamelpunt worden gebracht
voor het recyclen van elektrische en elektronische apparatuur. Dit wordt in de
handleiding en op de verpakking weergegeven door de afvalcontainer met een kruis
erdoor. De gebruikte grondstoffen kunnen worden gerecycled.
