1. Clip LED - The clip LED indicates the exact clipping point, regardless of the
mains voltage and or the connected load. The symmetrical supply voltages of
the power pack of an amplifier limit its output power. If amplifier is overdriven by
a too high input signal, the output signal tries to exceed the value of the supply
voltage. At this moment, the amplifiers “clip”. this results in a dangerous situation
for the connected loudspeakers. The peak limiter, if switched on, intervenes here
by automatically limiting the output signal-this is indicated by the clip led of the
channel in question.
2. Signal LED - The signal LED indicates a -30db point relative to the clipping
point, regardless of the mains voltage and the connected load. This LED gives
the user a better control of the remaining headroom of a channel or a complete
system.
3. Power LED - When you have switched on the amplifier, the ON LED indicates
the power is being supplied to the channel. If none of the LED light up once the
appliance has been switched on, this might be due to the following fault: no
power supply from the mains outlet. Please check that the appliance has been
plugged in properly and check that power is being supplied from the mains
outlet.
4. Bridge LED - The bridge LED will light when you have set the rear panel MODE
SWITCH (14) for mono bridge operation. Always make sure that this switch is
in the correct position and that all speaker connections have been made
correctly for the mode of operation you wish to use before powering up the
amplifier.
5. Stereo LED - The stereo LED will light when you have set the rear panel MODE
SWITCH (14) for stereo operation. Always make sure that this switch is in the
correct position and that all speaker connections have been made correctly for
the mode of operation you wish to use before powering up the amplifier.
6. Parallel LED - The parallel LED will light when you have set the rear panel
MODE SWITCH(14) for parallel mono operation. Always make sure that this
switch is in the correct position and that all speaker connections have been
made correctly for the mode of operation you wish to use before powering up the
amplifier.
7. Power Switch - Turns the unit on and off.
8. Level controls - Establish the input levels required for each channel. only the
channel 1 level control works in mono Bridge mode.

9. Speaker Outputs - Connectors are provided to connect speakers to the
amplifier quickly and easily. They are high current rated and provide very stable
and durable contacts. A third Speakon connector in the center is provided to be
used if the amplifier is in the Mono Bridge mode. Every Speakon connector has
Pin 1+ as positive and Pin 1- as negative.
10. Ground lift switch - Is used to lift the balanced input connector’s
ground/shield from the amplifier's ground. When the signal ground lifted, The
sound source disconnects from the amplifier's ground preventing ground
loops which can generate hum and noise. See the Signal Ground Lift Switch
instructions for more detail.
11. XLR Input Jacks - Electronically balanced inputs accept a standard XLR
connector. Pin 1 = shield/ ground, Pin 2 = hot or positive (+) and Pin 3 =cold
or negative (-)
12. Gain switch - PS Series amplifier you can select different input sensitivities,
respectively three different voltage gains. The switch settings are 26dB
voltage gain, 32dB voltage gain and 1.4V input sensitivity.
13. Limiter switch - In some applications it may be necessary to switch off the
built in peak limiter. In normal use, with limiters, the distortion is less than
0.5% even when the Clip LED is flashing. If the loudspeaker system or a pre
connected controller allows the use of an amplifier with more than 0.5% THD
you can switch off the limiter. In this case you should be aware that the
parameter curve at clip level is very steep and you will have only a small
improvement of the usable signal, but a strong increase of distortion.
14. Operation Mode Switch - Switch is used to set the unit for Parallel mode,
Stereo mode and Mono Bridge mode.

OPERATING INSTRUCTION
The amplifier's power must be turned off when changing modes of operation.
Stereo Operation
The unit has two channels for stereo operation. Each channel provides a separate and discrete signal at the
speaker outputs according to the signal received at the input.
The following instructions are for applications with 8 Ohm, 4 Ohm or 2 Ohm speakers of matched power rating.
1. With the power off, set the MODE SWITCH(14)to the STEREO position. When the power is on, be sure the Stereo LED on the front panel. If no, you have the
switch in the wrong position. Correct before continuing.
2. With the power off, connect your input cables to the channel 1 and channel 2 inputs using either the female XLR INPUT JACK(11)or male XLR INPUT JACK
(11)of each channel. The other channel 1 & channel 2 input can be used to link to an additional amplifier.
3. Connect the loudspeakers to the channel 1 and channel 2 SPEAKERS OUTPUT(9).THE TOTAL SPEAKER LOAD MUST BE AT LEAST 2 OHM PER CHANNEL.
If you try to operate at a lower impedance, the amplifier will go into protection mode and stop operation until you correct the load conditions.
4. With the LEVEL CONTROLS(8)of both channels set to zero (fully counterclockwise), turn the POWER SWITCH(3)on. Apply a signal to the input of the
amplifier. The level of the input signal should be as high as you will ever need it to be. this way, It will be as high above the amplifier's noise floor as possible,
ensuring an excellent performance and signal to noise ratio. Adjust the LEVEL CONTROLS for each channel to achieve the desired maximum listening level.

Parallel Mono Operation
Follow these instructions for parallel Mono Operation using a single input cable, and you will have the same
monophonic signal on both the channel 1 and the channel 2 output.. Each channel's output is controlled
independently by that channel's level control.
1. With the power off, set the OPERATION MODE SWITCH(6)to the PARALLEL MONO position. When the power is on, the PARALLEL MONO LED(12)on the
front panel will light. If the LED does not illuminate, you have the switch in the wrong position. Correct before continuing.
2. With the power off, connect your input cables to channel 1 only using the either the female XLR INPUT JACK(11)or male XLR INPUT JACK(11)of channel 1.
The other channel 1 input can be used to link to an additional amplifier.
3. Connect the loudspeakers to the channel 1 and channel 2 SPEAKER OUTPUT(9). THE TOTAL SPEAKER LOAD MUST BE AT LEAST 2 OHM PER CHANNEL. If
you try to operate a lower impedance, the amplifier will go into protection mode and stop operation until you correct the load conditions.
4. With the LEVEL CONTROLS(8)set to zero (fully counterclockwise), switch the power on. Apply a signal to the input. The level of the input signal should be as high
as you will ever need it to be. This way, it will be as high above the amplifier's noise floor as possible, ensuring an excellent performance and signal to noise ratio.
Adjust the LEVEL CONTROLS for each channel to achieve the desired maximum listening level.
NOTE : When the clip LEDs light, there is distortion present in the amplifier's output section. If a clip LED remains on or flashes repeatedly, reduce the signal level
by lowering the input level control for the channel that is clipping or reduce the level at the source.

Mono Bridge Operation
Follow these instructions to bridge the unit's output. Bridging the amplifier converts the unit to a monophonic or
single channel. The amplifier can be used with 4 Ohm or higher loads only in Mono Bridge mode. This mode is
used to provide a higher voltage with greater headroom to your speaker. Before setting your amplifier for Mono
Bridge operation.
Make sure that your speaker can handle the high power level provided by the amplifier in Mono Bridge mode.
1. With the power off, set the OPERATION MODE SWITCH(14)to the BRIDGE position. When the power is on, the BRIDGE LED(4)on the front panel will light. If
the LED does not illuminate, you have the switch in the wrong position. Correct before continuing.
2. With the power off, connect your input cables to channel 1 input only using the either the female XLR INPUT JACK(11)or male XLR INPUT JACK(11)of channel
1. The other channel 1 input can be used to link to an additional amplifier.
3. Connect the loudspeaker to the BRIDGE SPEAKER OUTPUT( 9 )only. The total speaker load must be at least 4 Ohms or above. If you try to operate at a lower
impedance, the amplifier will go into protection mode and stop operation until you correct the load conditions.
4. With the CHANNEL 1 LEVEL CONTROL(3)set to zero (fully counterclock-wise), switch the power on. Apply a signal to the input. The level of the input signal
should be as high as you will ever need it to be. This way, it will be as high above the amplifier's noise floor as possible, ensuring an excellent performance and signal
to noise ratio. Adjust the LEVEL CONTROL (14)for channel 1 to achieve the desired maximum listening level.
CAUTION:Before you begin, make sure your amplifier is disconnected from the power source, with power switch in the “off” position and all level controls
turned completely down (counter clockwise).
!
NOTE : When the clip LEDs light, there is distortion present in the amplifier's output section. if a clip LED remains on or flashes repeatedly, reduce the signal level
by lowering the input level control for channel 1 or reduce the level at the source. During Mono Bridge operation, the channel 2 level is inactive, however, both
channels LEDs will flash simultaneously and show output conditions.

USING THE SIGNAL GROUND LIFT SWITCH
Depending on you system configuration, sometimes applying the ground will create a quieter signal path. Sometimes lifting the ground can eliminate ground loops and
hum to create a quiter signal path.
1. With the power amp on, listen to the system in idle mode (no signal present) with the ground applied(the SIGNAL GROUND LIFT SWITCH(5)in the left position).
2. Then turn the power off before moving the SIGNAL GROUND LIFT SWITCH (5). Lift the ground by moving the SIGNAL GROUND LIFT SWITCH to the right, turn
the power back on and listen to determine which position will provide a signal devoid of background noise and hum. Keep the SIGNAL GROUND LIFT SWITCH in the
ground position if the noise level remains the same in either position.
CAUTION:Do not terminate the ac ground on the power amplifier in any way. Termination of the ac ground can be hazardous.
