Menu Button
Press Menu to set up your thermostat preferences, which can be changed
whenever you like.
1 Press Menu once to choose Celsius or Fahrenheit temperature –
use Up & Down to make your choice and press OK
2 Select 12 or 24-hour time using Up & Down – Down is 12-hour time;
Up is 24-hour time. Press OK
3 Choose the year using Up & Down, press OK
4 Select the month using Up & Down and confirm by pressing OK
5 Choose the day of the month using Up & Down, press OK to confirm
6 Using Up & Down, select the hour for the time display and press OK
7 Select the minutes for the time display with Up & Down and press OK
8 Choose the day of the week using Up & Down and confirm with OK
Change your settings at any time by repeating these steps.

Multi-Function (MF) Button
The MF button acts as the navigation button on your thermostat. Pressing
MF will cycle through the following operating modes (from left to right,
top to bottom), which light up when toggled to:
• P HOLD (Permanent Hold)
• T HOLD (Temporary Hold)
• On Schedule
• Auto, Low, Med, High Fan
• Heat, Cool, Vacation, Off Modes
• Manual Programming
When on the operating mode you want, press OK to accept it. If there is
another layer to the mode, it will appear in the display. Multiple choice
can be scrolled through with the Up & Down buttons. Press OK to accept
the new setting. Escape will return to the main screen at any point.
Manual Programming
Manually program the thermostat with 4 programs a day, 7 days a week.
1. Press MF 12 times to reach Program 1
2. Using Down, select which program you’d like to schedule (1 through 4)
3. Select the day (Sun-Sat) you want to adjust by pressing Up,
then press OK
4. Use the Up and Down arrows to select the time for the program
- Set up the hour first, press OK. Then, set up minute in ¼ hours
and press OK.
5. Adjust the heat temperature set point by pressing Up or Down,
then press OK
6. Adjust the cool temperature set point by pressing Up or Down,
then press OK
Repeat the steps above to add more programs.

Press MF once, then OK for P HOLD. P Hold or Permanent Hold holds the
selected settings and modes until otherwise changed. You’ll be prompted
to select a temperature setpoint using Up & Down.
Press MF twice, then OK for T HOLD. T Hold or Temporary Hold holds the
selected settings and modes until the next scheduled program. You’ll be
prompted to select a temperature setpoint using Up & Down.
Press MF 3 times, then OK for On Schedule. On Schedule signals the
thermostat to operate in schedule mode. You can schedule 4 programs a day,
7 days a week using the manual programming feature. Once you’ve set up
programs, enter On Schedule mode to follow your programmed settings.

Press MF 4 times, then OK for Auto. The thermostat automatically sets
the fan to High, Med or Low speed determined by the difference between
room temperature and the temperature setpoint.
Press MF 5 times, then OK for Low. Manually set the fan speed to low.
Press MF 6 times, then OK for Medium. Manually set the fan speed to Medium.
Press MF 7 times, then OK for High. Manually set the fan speed to High.
*Vertical Fan Coils with a heat recovery ventilator (HRV) or energy recovery ventilator
(ERV) fan will constantly run on a minimum of low to circulate air through the ventilators.

Press MF 8 times, then OK for Heat mode. Heat mode supplies hot air if
the set temperature is greater than the room temperature.
Press MF 9 times, then OK for Cool mode. Cool mode supplies cold air if
the set temperature is less than the room temperature.
Press MF 10 times, then OK to enter Vacation mode. Set heating or
cooling mode, temperature set point and duration.
1. Use Up to select the year. Press OK.
2. Press Up to select the month. Press OK.
3. Use Up to select the date. Press OK.
4. Select the hour using Up/Down. Press OK.
5. Use Up/Down to select heat or cool mode. Press OK.
6. Select the set temperature using Up/Down. Press OK.
7. Use Up to select the year you return. Press OK.
8. Press Up to select the month you return. Press OK.
9. Use Up/Down to select your return date. Press OK.
10. Press Up/Down to select the hour you return. Press OK.
Press MF 11 times, then OK to turn off the VFC. No heating or cooling,
system off.

Battery Back-up
Your thermostat has a CR2032 button battery installed for power back-up.
The back-up battery saves all of your information in the event of power
failure, including:
• Date, time and temperature display, and other general settings
• Your schedule and setpoints
Ensure the plastic-tab insulator is removed for this to work.

Wi-Fi Upgrade Available
Your system can be upgraded to be Wi-Fi enabled. Adding Wi-Fi to your
unit allows you to control your vertical fan coil from your phone, tablet
and computer using our web and mobile apps. Our app also sends alerts
to notify you about issues and maintenance, and usage reports so you can
track the operation of your vertical fan coil.
