accordance with the instructions contained in it. Please keep this manual for future

Disc tray
To load a disc. p. 16.

Disc visor
To display the disc loaded in the disc tray. The disc presence is indicated by the backlight.
NOTE
The disc backlight can be turned o in settings. p. 22.

To receive the infrared signal from the remote control.

The disc tray can be closed also by pressing Play or by pushing the front of the

Skip forward Rotate the knob right.
Skip backward Rotate the knob left.
Fast forward Press the control knob and rotate it right at the same
time.

NOTE
You can use the DIMM key on the remote control
to adjust the brightness of other Unitra devices.

The brightness of all the devices is automatically
set to 0.

Installation of batteries
in the remote control
Step 1
Insert a pin (e. g. a paper clip) into the hole on the
back surface to remove the plate with the battery
holder.
Step 2
Insert one battery (CR2032) according to the
polarity markings (+ and −) on the battery holder.
Step 3
Install the plate with the battery holder on the remote
control.
NOTE
Before first use, remove the plate as in Step 1 and
make sure there is no foil between the battery and
the battery holder.

Operation of the remote control
Operate the remote control in the range shown in the
illustration by pointing it toward the remote control
signal receiver on the front panel of the Device.

Display
The Device uses electronic paper display technology, known for its reflective
properties, ensuring clear visibility even in bright sunlight. This technology mimics
the appearance of traditional ink print on paper, yet it achieves this eect through
electronic means, displaying ink particles electronically.
NOTE
Occasionally, you may observe a brief screen flash; this is a normal aspect of the
content refresh process, which keeps your Device's display up-to-date and free
from any residual images.

Recommendations for use
NOTICE
• If you plan not to use the Device for a long period of time, make sure that the
Device is disconnected from the AC power source. Be aware that when the
Device is in standby mode the electric current is still flowing through the unit.
• Do not overload the top of the device with weights exceeding 30 kg.
• When frequent transient states and impulse distractions in the power line happen,
distractions on output connectors may occur. Those interferences may impact
audio signal amplification quality and can generate sound distortions. When
distractions on the power line end, the device returns to normal operation.
• If the electrostatic discharge goes to the input jacks (RCA connectors), the
standard operation of the Device can be disturbed. When the electrostatic
discharge ends, the Device is back to normal operation without your intervention.
• For proper operation of the device, it is not recommended to use connection
cables longer than 3 m.

Connecting an amplifier or a DAC
OPTICAL COAXIAL
DIGITALANALOG DIGITAL
Use analog output if your amplifier do not have built-in DAC or you want to use the
DAC built in the Device .
To use the Device as a transport, connect an amplifier or an external DAC to DIGITAL
outputs (COAXIAL, OPTICAL). The DIGITAL outputs transfer unprocessed digital
signal read by the CD ROM.

Connecting the AC power cable
CAUTION
Install the Device in accordance with the Safety Brochure (section
Installation) enclosed to this product.
After all connections are ready, you can connect the Device to the AC power source.
Step 1
Connect the power cord to the AC IN terminal.

Operation
Before operating the device, make sure that all the connections are ready and the
Device is turned on. p. 7.
Loading and unloading a disc
Step 1
Press the (Open/Close) button. The disc tray will open.
Step 2
When the disc tray is fully open, remove the remaining disc (if there is one).
Step 3
Place a disc carefully in the tray with the label side facing up.
Step 4
Close the tray by pressing the (Open/Close) button or by pushing the tray.
NOTICE
• Do not put anything except a Compact Disc into the tray. Foreign objects may
damage the mechanism.
• Do not force the tray by hand during the opening and closing operations.
• To avoid dirt and dust entering the mechanism, keep the disc tray closed.
• If the Compact Disc is seriously scratched or too dirty the player may not be
able to read it or play it.
• Never load more than one disc into the disc tray at one time.
NOTE
Pressing the (Play/Pause) button when the tray is open will close it and start
the playback directly.

This screen appears when the disc is loaded
correctly or the playback is stopped.

Start playback
Step 1
Load the disc. p. 16. When the disc is loaded
correctly, the album info / stop screen will appear.
Step 2
Press the (Play/Pause) button to start the
playback.

Pause playback
During playback, press the (Play/Pause)
button to pause. Pause will be represented with the
playback mode indicator.
To resume press the (Play/Pause) button again.

Skip tracks
To skip tracks rotate the control knob or use the remote control when on the playback
screen.
Skip to the next
track
• Rotate the knob one step right
• or press key on the remote control.
Skip to the previous
track
• Rotate the knob one step left
• or press key on the remote control.
Scan forward and backward
To scan through tracks, at the same time press and rotate the control knob.
Alternatively, use the keys on the remote control.
Scan forward • Press the control knob and rotate it right at the
same time
• or press and hold key on the remote
control.
Scan backward • Press the control knob and rotate it right at the
same time
• or press and hold key on the remote
control.
Scanning and it's speed (x5, x10, x15) will be represented with the playback mode
indicator. p. 17.
NOTE
You can control the scanning speed (x5, x10, x15). More you rotate the control
knob (3 steps available), the scanning is faster.

Shue/repeat playback mode
To activate or deactivate shue or Repeat playback mode, enter the menu
( p. 20.), select the desirable mode and press ENTER.
Shue To playback tracks in a random order.
Repeat all To repeat the album playback as long as the
mode is on.
Repeat one To repeat the currently played track as long as
the mode is on.
When the selected mode is on, the toggle switch will change to the active state. All
playback modes that are turned on will be represented with the playback mode
indicators. p. 17.
NOTE
• Repeat all and repeat one cannot be turned on at one time. Activating one
automatically deactivates the other.
• Loading a new CD or restarting the Device deactivates the shue and repeat
modes.
Stop playback
Press the (Stop) button to stop the playback.

the remote control.
To choose the

(ENTER)

the remote control.
To go back or exit
the menu
• select Exit/Back on the
menu list (top and the
bottom of the list) and
press ENTER
• or press the BACK key on
the remote control.
NOTE
In case of no activity for 1 minute the menu will
close automatically.
