Installationand Switching OnTheAppliance

age.
•Beforemakingtheconnectiontothepowersupply,ensurethatthe voltageonthe
nameplatecorrespondstothe voltageofelectricalsysteminyourhome.
•Ifthesocketdoesnotmatchtherefrigeratorplug,replacetheplugwithasuitable
one(atleast16A)
• Insert theplugintoasocketwithanefficientgroundconnection.
If the sockethasnogroundcontactortheplugdoesnot match,
wesuggestyoutocallanauthorised electricianforassistance.
• Theplugshouldbeaccessibleafter the applianceispositioned.
•Manufacturerisnot responsibleforfailuretocompletethe
groundconnection as describedinthisbooklet.
• Donot placethe applianceindirectsunlight.

ThermostatSetting
FREEZER&REFRIGERATORTHERMOSTAT
Freezerand refrigeratorthermostatautomaticallyregulatestheinside temperatureof
thecompartments.Byrotating theknobfromposition1to5,coldertemperaturescanbe
obtained.
FreezerThermostatSetting;
1-2:Forshort-termstorage offoodinthe freezercompartment,youcansetthe
knobbetween minimumandmediumposition.
3-4:Forlong-termstorageoffoodin thefreezercompartment,youcanset knob
mediumposition.
5:Forfreezing thefreshfood.Theappliancewillworklonger.Soafteryougetthe
coldconditionyoumustpositiontopreviousposition.
RefrigeratorThermostatSetting;
1-2:Forlesscoldlyconditions.
3-4:Fornormalconditions.
5:Forcolderconditions.
• Notethat: theambienttemperature,temperatureofthe freshlystored foodandhow

Turning OnTheAppliance
Oncethe appliancehasbeen connectedtothepowersupplymakesurethat the
GREENlampison.Thenturntherefrigeratorthermostatdialand thefreezerthermostat
dialtoposition between 2-4. (Notethat;forbestinternal temperaturetheindicatorinthe
refrigeratorand freezerthermostatshouldbepositionedbetween 2and4.)
•When youfirstswitch ontheappliance,forstartingasuitable cooling,theappli-
anceshould work24hourscontinuouslyuntil itcoolsdowntosufficient tem-
perature.
•Inthistimedonot open thedoorsooftenandplacealotoffoodinsidetheappli-
ance.
•Iftheunitis switchedofforunplugged,youmustallowatleast5minutesbefore
restartingorre-plugged theunitinordernotto damagethecompressor.
Combimodelshavedoublecompressorsasone ofthemisforrefrigeratorcompart-
ment,andtheotherisforfreezercompartment.
ORANGELAMP: Whenthefreezercompartment Isonoperation,theorange lampwill turn
onuntilthecompartmentreachestotemperatureyouwanted.
GREENLAMP: Whentheapplianceisconnectedto thepower supply,thegreenlampon
thedisplaypanelwillturnonautomatically.
ORANGELAMP: Whentherefrigeratorcompartment isonoperation,theorange lampwill

•Fill theicetraywithwaterand placeinfreezer compartment.
•Afterthe watercompletely turnedintoice,youcantwistthetrayasshownbelowto
gettheicecube.
Bottleholder
•Inordertopreventthebottlestosliporfalloveryoucanusethe
bottle holder.Youcanalsopreventmakingnoisethatwillbe done
whenyouopenorclosethedoor.

RefrigeratorCompartment
• Toreducehumidityandconsequent increase offrostnever placeliquidsinunsealed
containersintherefrigerator.Frosttendsto concentratein thecoldestpartsofthe
evaporatorandintimewillrequiremorefrequentdefrosting.
• Neverplacewarmfood intherefrigerator.Warmfoodshouldbeallowedtocoolat
roomtemperatureandshouldbearrangedtoensureadequateaircirculationinthe
refrigerator compartment.
• Nothingshouldtouch torefrigeratorback wall asitwillcausefrostandthepackages
can stickhere. Do notopentherefrigeratordoortoofrequently.
• Arrangethe meat andcleaned fish(wrappedinpackagesorsheetsof plastic)which
youwill usein1-2days.
• Youcanput thefruitsandvegetablesintocrisperwithoutpacking.

FreezerCompartment
• Theuseoffreezeris,storingofdeep-frozenorfrozenfoodforlong periodsoftimeand
makingicecubes.
• Donot putfreshandwarmfoodto thefreezerdoorshelvestobefrozen.Only usefor
storageoffrozenfood.
• Donot putfreshandwarmfoodwithfrozenfoodsidebysideasitcanthawthefrozen
food.
•Whilefreezing freshfood(i.e.meat,fishandmincemeat) dividethemin partsyou
willusein onetime.
•Forstoringthefrozenfood; theinstructionsshownon frozenfoodpackagesshould
alwaysbefollowedcarefully andifnoinformationisprovidedfoodshouldnotbe
stored formorethan3monthsfromthepurchaseddate.
•When buying frozenfood ensurethatthese havebeen frozenat suitabletempera-
turesandthat thepackingis intact.
•Frozenfoodshouldbe transportedin appropriatecontainerstomaintainthequality
of the food andshouldbereturned tothefreezingsurfacesof theunitintheshortest
possibletime.
•Ifapackageoffrozenfoodshowsthesign ofhumidityandabnormal swellingitis
probablethatithasbeenpreviouslystoredat anunsuitabletemperatureand that
thecontentshavedeteriorated.
•Thestorage lifeof frozenfood dependson theroomtemperature,thermostat set-
ting,howoftenthedoorisopened,the type offoodandthelength oftimerequiredto
transport theproductfromthe shopto yourhome.Alwaysfollowthe instructions
printedonthepackageandneverexceedthe maximumstoragelifeindicated.
• Whilefreezingfood; Maximumamountoffreshfood (inkg) thatcanbefrozen in24
hoursisindicatedontheappliancelabel.
•Foroptimumapplianceperformanceto reachmaximumfreezingcapacity,turnthe
thermostatknobtopositionmax24 hoursbeforeplacingfreshfoodinthefreezer.
•Afterplacingfreshfoodin thefreezer,24hourson maxposition isgenerallysuffi-
cient, after24hours,donotneedtosetthethermostatknobtoposition max.
• Attention; Inordertosaveenergy,Whenfreezing smallamountsoffood,donot need
toset thethermostatknobtoposition max.
•Usethefastfreezing shelftofreezehomecooking(andthefoodwhich iswantedto
freeze)morequickly becauseofthefreezingroom’s greaterfreezingpower.Fast
freezing shelvesarethemiddledrawersof the freezercompartment
(seeinpage13-14)

• Disconnectunitfromthepowersupplybeforecleaning.
• Donot cleanthe appliancebypouringwater.
• Therefrigeratorandfreezercompartment should becleaned
periodicallyusingasolution ofbicarbonate of soda andluke-
warmwater
• Cleantheaccessoriesseparately withsoapandwater.
Donot cleantheminthewashingmachine.
• Donot useabrasive products, detergentsorsoaps.After
washing,rinsewithcleanwateranddrycarefully.When
thecleaningoperationshavebeen completed reconnect
the plug of theunitwithdryhands.
• Youshouldclean thecondenser(backofthe appliance)withbroomonesayearin
ordertoprovide energysavingandincreasetheproductivity.
THEPOWERSUPPLY MUSTBEDISCONNECTED.
Defrostingrefrigeratorcompartment
•Defrostingoccursfully automaticallyinrefrigeratorcompartmentduringoperation;
thedefrostedwatercollectedbythe evaporating trayandevaporatesautomatically.
•Theevaporatingtrayandwaterdrainhole(backoftherefrigeratorcrispershelf)should
becleaned periodicallytoprevent thewaterfromcollecting on thebottomofthe
refrigeratorinsteadofflowing out.

DefrostingFreezercompartment
•Thefrost,whichcoverstheshelvesofthefreezercompartment, shouldberemoved
periodically.
•Donotusesharpmetal objectsforthisoperation. Theycouldpuncturethe refrig-
erator circuitandcauseirreparabledamage tothe unit.Use theplasticscraper pro-
vided.
•When thereismorethan5mmof frostontheshelves,defrostingmustbedone.
•Beforedefrostingoperation,placethe frozen food in acoolplaceafterwrapping
theminsheetsofnewspaperinorder toobtainitstemperaturesteadyforlongtime.
•Toacceleratethedefrostingprocess placeone ormorebasinsofwarmwaterin
thefreezercompartment.
•Drytheinside of thecompartmentwithasponge oracleancloth.
•Oncetheunithasbeendefrosted,placethefoodintofreezerandrememberto
consumetheminashortperiodoftime.
ReplacingtheRefrigeratorLightBulb
1. Unplugthe unitfromthepowersupply,
2. Removethe refrigeratorlightcover(A)bypressingthe
hooksplacedbothsidesofthecover.
3. Changethe presentlight bulb(B) with anewone (not
morethan15W).
4. Place thelight coverinitsplaceand plug theunit.

Transportationand Changing ofInstallation Position
• Theoriginalpackagesandfoamedpolystyrene (PS) canbeconcealedifrequired.
•Intransportationthe applianceshouldbe tied with awidestripeorastrongrope.
Theruleswrittenonthecorrugatedboxmustbeappliedwhiletransporting.
•Beforetransporting orchanging oldinstallationposition,allthemoving objects(i.e.,
shelves,crisper…)shouldbetaken outorfixedwithbandsinordertopreventthe
shake.
PART6. BEFORECALLING YOUR AFTERSALES SERVICE
Ifyourrefrigeratorisnotworking properly, it maybe a minor problem, thereforecheck
thefollowing,beforecallinganelectriciantosavetimeandmoney.

•Thereisno power,(Greenlampis off)
•Thegeneralswitchinyourhomeis disconnected,
•Thethermostatsettingison«0»position,
•Thesocketisnotsufficient. Tocheckthis,plug inanotherappliancethatyou know
whichisworking intothesamesocket.

•You haveoverloadedtheappliance,
•Thethermostat settingis“1”position(ifsosetthethermostatdialsuitablevalue)
•Thedoorsareclosedperfectly,

The coolinggaswhichcirculatesintherefrigeratorcircuitmaymakeaslightnoise
(bubblingsound)even when thecompressoris notrunning.Donot worrythisisquite
