Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Dieses Produkt ist für den Anschluss an ein originales
Audi MMI System bestimmt und dient der Funktionser-
weiterung des Audi MMI Systems um eine Bluetooth-
und eine AUX Schnittstelle für die Medienwiedergabe.
Das Produkt ist technisch ausschließlich für den vorge-
nannten Gebrauch konzipiert und darf ausschließlich zu
diesem Zweck genutzt werden. Jeder andere oder
darüberhinausgehende Gebrauch des Produktes oder
des Zubehörs gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
Vorhersehbare Fehlanwendung
Eine vorhersehbare Fehlanwendung liegt vor, wenn das
Produkt zu einem anderen Zweck verwendet wird, als in
dieser Anleitung beschrieben.
Das gilt insbesondere, wenn das Gerät an einer Stelle
installiert wird, wo es die Fahrsicherheit oder die Bedie-
nung beeinträchtigt.
Beschädigungen
Ziehen Sie nicht am Kabel, sondern stets am Stecker.
Knicken Sie das Glasfaserkabel nicht, es bricht.
Beschädigungen jeder Art führen zur Reduzierung des
Erstattungsbetrages beim Widerrufsrecht und zum Erlö-
schen der Gewährleistung/Haftung und können Folge-

Montage/Installation
Die Installation soll in einer Werkstatt oder einem Raum
mit ähnlichen Gegebenheiten durch qualifizierte Perso-
nen oder Personen, die Erfahrung mit derartigen Instal-
lationen haben, erfolgen.

ten Sammlung von Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräten in

Intended Use
This product is intended for connection to an original
Audi MMI system and is used to expand the functions of
the Audi MMI system with a Bluetooth interface and
AUX interface for media playback.
The product is technically designed exclusively for the
aforementioned use and may only be used for this pur-
pose. Any other or additional use of the product or ac-
cessories is considered as not intended use.
Foreseeable misuse
Foreseeable misuse occurs if the product is used for a
purpose other than that described in these instructions.
This applies in particular if the device is installed in a lo-
cation where it impairs driving safety or operation.
Damage
Do not pull on the cable, always pull on the plug. Do not
kink the fiber optic cable, it will break. Damage of any
kind leads to a reduction in the reimbursement amount
in the case of the right of withdrawal and to the expiry of
the warranty / liability and can cause consequential
damage to the vehicle.
Assembly/installation
The installation should be carried out in a technical
workshop or a room with similar conditions by qualified
persons or persons who have experience with such in-
stallations.
Disposal / recycling
Observe the applicable regulations for the separate col-
lection of electrical and electronic waste in your country.
Do not dispose of your old devices with household
waste.
Legal Provisions
In some countries it may be necessary to check the le-
gal provisions before installation and startup of the de-
vice.

Anschluss des Bluetooth Interfaces / Connecting of the Bluetooth Interfaces
Interface 4301 + 4302 + 4303
1. Entkoppeln Sie den Quadlock-Stecker vom Steck-
erblock .
2. Verbinden Sie den Quadlock-Stecker des Kabel-
baums mit dem Steckplatz .
3. Verbinden Sie nun den werksseitigen Quadlock-Ste-
cker mit der Quadlock-Buchse des Kabel-
baums.
4. Im nächsten Schritt verbinden Sie den 8-Pin-Stecker
des langen Einzelkabels vom Kabelbaum mit dem
Steckplatz des Interface.
5. Zuletzt verbinden Sie das AUX-Kabel/Bluetooth-An-
tenne mit dem Steckplatz des Interface.
6. Ausschließlich für Radio Navi Plus RNS-E (4302):
Verbinden Sie den vorkonfigurierten 32-Pin-AMP Ste-
cker (Vorkonfiguration siehe Schritt 8) mit dem 32-
Pin-Steckplatz .
7. Nun können Sie die Zündung und das Autoradio wie-
der einschalten.
1. Disconnect the Quadlock plug from the con-
nector block.
2. Connect the Quadlock plug of the cable harness
to the socket .
3. Now connect the factory Quadlock plug to the
Quadlock socket of the cable harness.
4. In the next step, connect the 8-pin plug of the long
single cable of the cable harness to the interface
slot .
5. Finally, connect the AUX cable/Bluetooth antenna
to the interface slot .
6. Only for car radio Navi Plus RNS-E (4302):
Connect the pre-configured 32-pin AMP connector
(see step 8 for pre-configuration) to the 32-pin
socket .
7. Now you can switch on the ignition and the car radio.
Hinweis für Interface 4301 + 4302:
Wenn die Option AUX/Bluetooth im Menü nicht
zur Auswahl erscheint, dann muß die AMI-
Plattform mittels Servicegerät über den OBD
Steckplatz aktiviert werden. 4301 siehe Schritt 10,
4302 siehe Schritt 9.
Note for Interface 4301 + 4302:
If the AUX/Bluetooth option does not appear in
the menu for selection, then the AMI platform must
be activated by a service device via the OBD
socket. 4301 please see step 10, 4302 please see
step 9.
Hinweis für Interface 4303:
Wenn das Radio die werksseitige Funktion
Media-In/MDI-Plattform nicht ausführt, muß
diese Funktion mittels Servicegrät über den OBD
Steckplatz aktiviert werden. Siehe Schritt 11.

Konfiguration des 32-Pin-Steckers / Configuration of the 32-pin connector
Ausschließlich Interface 4302 / Only Interface 4302 (Schritt 8 + 9)
Fahrzeuge mit dem Radio Navi Plus RNS-E können mit
TV-Tuner, Rückfahrkamera, AUX-Geräten usw. ausge-
stattet sein, die über einen 32-poligen AMP-Anschluss
angeschlossen werden.
In diesem Fall ist es zum Anschließen des Interface 4302
erforderlich, den werkseitigen 32-poligen AMP-Anschluss
zu demontieren und die Drähte des AMP-Kabelstrangs
(drei Adern mit Pins; schwarz, weiß, rot) zu installieren.
Falls das Fahrzeug nicht mit zusätzlichen Geräten ausge-
stattet ist und keinen 32-poligen AMP-Anschluss verwen-
det, nutzen Sie den 32-poligen AMP-Stecker, der zum
Lieferumfang gehört. In diesen pinnen sie die drei Pins
des AMP-Kabels ein.
Wichtig: Sollte Ihr Radio mit der werksseitigen AUX-
Schnittstelle ausgestattet sein, dann müssen Sie diese
Kabel auspinnen/entfernen und mit den drei Kabeln des
mitgelieferten AMP-Kabels ersetzen.
Vehicle with car radio Navi Plus RNS-E can be
equipped with TV tuner, rear camera, AUX, etc. which
are connected by the 32 pin AMP Connector.
In this case to connect the Interface 4302 it is neces-
sary to dismantle the factory 32 Pin AMP Connector
and to install the wires of the AMP harness
(three wires with pins; black, white, red.
In case when vehicle is not equipped with additional de-
vices and uses the 32 Pin AMP Connector, then it is
necessary to use 32 Pin AMP Connector which is in-
cluded in the scope of delivery. In this you pin the three
pins of the AMP cable.
Important: If your radio is equipped with the factory
AUX interface, then you must unpin/remove these ca-
bles and replace them with the three cables of the sup-
plied AMP cable.

Pinnen Sie die Kabel mit Pins in die richtigen Pin-Plätze
ein. Siehe vorheriges Bild.

Schieben Sie den AMP-Stecker in das graue Gehäuse.

Kodierung der Radiossysteme / Coding of the radio systems
WICHTIGE INFORMATION:
Damit das Interface ordnungsgemäß funktioniert,
ist ein Audi Music Interface (AMI) oder MDI erfor-
derlich.
Wir empfehlen dringend die Kodierung durch
einen fachkundigen Service freischalten zu
lassen. Für den Fachmann ist das eine Sa-
chen von Minuten.
Wenn Sie AMI-Funktion selbst kodieren wollen,
dann können Sie das mit VAG, VCDS Diagnose
Software oder anderen Programmen wie nachfol-
gend beschrieben tun. Wir übernehmen dafür
keine Haftung und können Sie auch nicht im
weiteren Coding-Prozess unterstützen.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
An Audi Music Interface (AMI) or a MDI is
required for the interface to function
properly.
We highly recommend having the coding
activated by an expert service. For the
professional, this is a matter of minutes.
If you want to code AMI function yourself,
then you can do it with VAG, VCDS diagnos-
tic software or other programs as described
below. We assume no liability for this and
cannot support you in the further coding
process.

2. die Tasten RADIO und SETUP am Radio
(etwa 10 Sekunden) gedrückt halten, bis
das Radio den Reset durchführt.
After coding, a reset of the radio needs to be

1. momentarily disconnecting and reconnecting
power to the radio, or
2. press and hold the RADIO and SETUP
buttons on the radio (about 10 seconds) until
the radio resets.

Ausschließlich wenn die Multimedia-Einheit die
werkseitige Funktion Media-In (MDI-Plattform) nicht
ausführt bzw. nicht aktiviert ist, sollte die Media Player-
Option codiert werden, um die Media-In-Funktion durch
das an die OBD-Buchse angeschlossene Servicegerät zu
aktivieren.
Mit der Software VCDS:
1. Controller 19 CAN-Gateway öffnen
2. Wählen Sie die Installationsliste
3. Markieren Sie die Option 2E, Media Player 3
4. Sichern Sie die Einstellungen und schließen Sie
den Controller.
5. Schließlich löschen Sie alle Fehlermeldungen.
Only in case when multimedia unit doesn’t run factory
function Media-In (MDI platform) then Media Player
option should be coded to activate Media-In function by
service device connected to OBD socket.
With the VCDS software:
1. Open controller 19 CAN Gateway
2. Select the installation list
3. Mark option 2E, Media Player 3
4. Save the settings and close the controller.
5. Finally, clear all error messages.
In sehr seltenen Fällen (zumeist beim RCD 310
in Nutzfahrzeugen) ist es möglich, dass das
Fahrzeug die Media-In-Funktion auf der MDI-
Plattform nicht unterstützt.
Dann kann der Kabelbaum mit Media-In-
Emulation verwendet werden, der damit die
Voraussetzung schafft, das Interfaces 4303 zu
nutzen.
It very rare cases (mostly with the RCD 310 in
commercial vehicles) it is possible that vehicle
doesn’t support Media–In function working on
MDI platform.
Then the cable harness can be used with Media-
In emulation, which creates the prerequisite for
using the interface 4303.

1. Schalten Sie die Zündung wieder ein und starten
Sie das Radio.
2. Wählen Sie als erstes den MEDIA (1) Button und

Interface 4303
Das Interface ermöglicht es, Musik von einem AUX-An-
schluss und drahtlosen Bluetooth-Streaming zu hören.
Die AUX-Funktion ist immer verfügbar, wenn keine
Bluetooth-Verbindung besteht. Der AUX-Eingang wird
automatisch getrennt, wenn eine Bluetooth-Verbindung
hergestellt wurde.
Das Bild links zeigt, dass kein Bluetooth-Gerät verbun-
den ist.
Hinweis: Der AUX-Eingang kann kein externes Gerät
steuern.
The interface allows listening to music from an AUX
connection and Bluetooth wireless streaming.
The AUX function is always available when there is no
Bluetooth connection. The AUX-input is automatically
disconnected when a Bluetooth connection is estab-
lished.
The image on the left shows that no Bluetooth device is
connected.
Note: The AUX input can’t control an external device.

1. Sie können nur dann eine neue Verbindung zum In-
terface aufbauen, wenn aktuell kein Gerät mit dem In-
terface verbunden ist.
2. Nun können Sie eine Bluetooth-Verbindung zum
Smartphone aufbauen.
3. Voraussetzungen:
a. Die Bluetooth Quelle des Smartphones ist aktiv
und sichtbar.
b. Kein anders Smartphone ist mit dem Bluetooth
Interface verbunden.
4. Es wird empfohlen die Bluetooth Funktion auf einem
Smartphone (oder einem anderen Gerät) zu starten
und die Suchfunktion auszuführen.
5. Audi-BT oder JUNA_AUX sollte in der Liste erschei-
nen. Siehe Bild 5.
6. Nach der Auswahl des Bluetooth Gerätes ist es erfor-
derlich, den PIN code einzugeben (Bild 6). Er ist auf
der Rückseite des Bluetooth Interface vermerkt. Häu-
fig wird 1234 oder 2831 genutzt.
7. Nach dem erfolgreichen Aufbau der Verbindung zum
Smartphone (pairing), wird automatisch Musik abge-
spielt.
1. You can only establish a new connection to the in-
terface if no device is currently connected to the in-
terface.
2. You can now establish a Bluetooth connection to
the smartphone.
3. Requirements:
a. The Bluetooth source of the smartphone is ac-
tive and visible.
b. No other smartphone is connected to the Blue-
tooth interface.
4. It is recommended to start the Bluetooth function on
a smartphone (or another device) and to carry out
the search function.
5. Audi-BT or JUNA_AUX should appear in the list.

6. After selecting the Bluetooth device, it is necessary
to enter the PIN code (pic. 6). It is noted on the back
of the Bluetooth interface. Often 1234 or 2831 is
used.

Um Musik von der AUX-Quelle abzuspielen, schließen
Sie ein Smartphone oder ein anderes Gerät an die
CINCH-Buchsen des Interface 4303 an.
Wählen Sie dann wie bei der drahtlosen
Musikwiedergabe über Bluetooth die Tasten MEDIA
und MDI am Radio.
Wenn das Modul keine Verbindung herstellen kann
Smartphone oder ein anderes Gerät über Bluetooth,
spielt es automatisch Audio von der AUX-Quelle ab.
Bei Anschluss eines Telefons oder eines anderen
Geräts schaltet die AUX-Quelle automatisch aus.
To play music from the AUX source, connect a
smartphone or other device to the CINCH sockets of the
Interface 4303.
Then, as in the case of wireless music playback via
bluetooth, select the MEDIA and MDI buttons on the
radio.
If the module fails to connect to
smartphone or other device, via Bluetooth, it will
automatically play audio from the AUX source.
Connection of a telephone or other device
automatically turns off the AUX source.

Zusätzliche Information / Additional information
Alle Interfaces (4301, 4302 und 4303) versuchen die Ver-
bindung mit dem zuletzt verbundenen Smartphone wie-
der herzustellen, sobald das Radio System gestartet ist.
Wird das Smartphone nicht gleich gefunden, wird nach
30 Sekunden der nächste Versuch gestartet.
Möchten Sie ein anders Smartphone verbinden, trennen
Sie zuerst eine bestehende Verbindung und gehen dann
gemäß Schritt 13 vor.
All interfaces (4301, 4302 and 4303 try to re-estab-
lish the connection with the last connected
smartphone as soon as the radio system has
started.
If the smartphone is not found immediately, the next
attempt will be started after 30 seconds.
If you want to connect a different smartphone, first
disconnect an existing connection and then proceed
according to step 13.
