KNOW YOUR COOKTOP
DESCRIPTION OF PARTS INSTALLATION
•Unpack the cook top and remove all the packing material.
•Check and ensure that all the burner and pan support are in the position and seated properly.
•The gas control knob should be in OFF position at the time of installation.
•The cooktop should be placed at a convenient working height against a wall. It should be kept
away from shelves and curtains.
•Windows should not be closed and use of fan should be avoided during its operations.
•In case of PNG connection, ensure the minimum gas pressure is at 21 milibar in all 3 burners(when
in switched ON position).
Note:
•Do not use a vinyl plastic tube or tube with metallic cover, as this can be dangerous. It is suggested
that only steel reinforced specially designed rubber hose to be used. Rubber hose should be
supplied by Gas company providing LPG / PNG Gas connection. The tube should not be twisted,
looped or kinked, or subjected to external pressure of any kind.
•Push the rubber hose onto the nozzle as far as it will go.
•The tube is not be extended from one room to another and must not be passed through doors
windows, walls, partition, ceilings or oors.
•After the hose is fixed, the Cook top is ready to use.
•In case you nd diculty in assembling the Cook top, please call nearest USHA Service center
Other Instruction for Use:
•The Gas Cylinder should always be in vertical position, while in use.
•To turn the Cook Top “ON”: (for Non-Auto ignition models)
o First open the gas regulator. Light a match stick over the operating burner, while
simultaneously turning the operating knob towards“ON”position.
o The burners may not ignite the rst time you use them. This may be due to the result of air
in the gas tube. Turn the gas control knob back to the“OFF”position and try again until
burner ignites.
•To Turn the Cook Top “ON” (for auto ignition models)
o First open the gas regulator. Turn the ignition knob towards the ON position. A click sound
will come and burner will ignite WITHOUT use of any match stick etc.
o The burner’s may not ignite at the rst click, if used after along gap of time. This is because
the gas in the pilot line take a little time to ow and ignite the ame.
o To ensure lighting press the knob, hold for a second and then turn the knob to “ON” position.
o Always make sure that gas stove is lit when the knob is turned to “ON/SIM”position.
Otherwise the gas will be leaking and can be Dangerous.
o If the gas stove does not get lit, bring the knob to “OFF”position and repeat until the gas
stove lights.
•Use the cook top for cooking purpose only. Do not dry towels, clothes etc. over it.
•When using high ame, ensure that you use large sized vessels to covers the entire ame to avoid
wastage of gas.
NOTE:
The above illustration is only for indication and may not be same in the product. Design, shape and
components will may vary for two burner, three burner & four burner models. In pursuence with our
policy of continous product improvement, specication are subject to change without notice.

•When using smaller vessels, reduce the ame intensity to the required optimum.
•While cooking always avoid the content being cooked to overow and fall on the burner. This
may extinguish the ame and also block the burner holes.
•Wipe clean the cook top, pan supports and drip pans with warm soapy water and use a soft cloth
to avoid scratches.
•Clean the burner regularly so that they don’t get clogged. Do not use abrasive materials for
cleaning. If you clean the burners with water, make sure that you dry them properly before using.
•Please ensure that the auto ignition unit is free from food particles / liquids as it may aect
ignition.
•Always check the exible tube periodically for any wear and tear to avoid gas leaks and prevent
danger.
•If you nd gas leakage smell, close the gas regulator of the cylinder / pipeline, open up all
windows and call your Gas SUPPLY agents. Do not switch “ON”any electric switch or light
matches / lighter etc.
•Always remember NOT to check the gas leak with a ame. Keep the tube away from heat.
•Keep away any ammable material / liquid from the Cook Top.
•When using a lighter to ignite the burner keep a distance of almost 0.5 cm between them to
prevent gas from burning in the gas pipe. In case this happens, immediately switch o the burner
and reignite.
•Toughened glass is used for the cooking table in glass top models. However, necessary
precaution on handling of glass, is very important. Make sure that when the glass in hot, there
should not be any dripping of cold water of liquid on glass as it may damage the glass.
•The breakage of glass due to any reason is not covered under warranty.
•Do not try to dismantle / repair the gas valve or burner nozzles yourselves as the same may not
be replaced properly which may be hazardous for your health.
•For auto ignition battery operated, please do periodically change the battery for better result.
•Do not clean with alcohol or kerosene because it may damage the cook top.
•Do not leave the gas burner unattended while in on position.
•After the cooking is over, turn both the gas control knobs and gas regulator o, e.g., when going
to bed or leaving the house.
•Keep the Gas Stove out of reach of children.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
When replacement parts are required, be sure that the service technician has used replacement
parts specied by USHA International Ltd. That have same characteristics as the original parts.
Unauthorized substitution may result in hazards.

SAFETY CHECK
Upon completion of any service or repairs to the appliance, ask the service technician to perform
routine safety check to determine that the appliance is in safe operating condition of USHA gas stoves
for use with Commercial Liqueed Petroleum Gases / Piped Natural Gas.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR PNG
Check with respective PNG Gas agency for any abnormal ow of PNG and quality of PNG before
installing cooktop.

and keep this manual for future reference. Carefully observe all warning, precaution and instruction
for use described hereunder and adhere to them

WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Company provides warranty for a period of two (2) years on components of product except
for auto ignition and its components on which warranty is for period of one (1) year from the date
of purchase, ve (5) years on toughened glass. The warranty is given only against manufacturing
defect, faulty material and workmanship. For Insignia range of cooktops: warranty for the brass
burner is for ve (5) years from the date of purchase only against manufacturing defect, faulty
material and workmanship. The aforesaid warranty is valid only when the sale receipt or duly lled
and stamped warranty card by the authorized representative of USHA Company showroom, or
USHA distributor, or USHA retailer, is presented at the time of the complaint. In case of glass cooktop
the original sale receipt from the date of purchase or duly lled and stamped warranty card by
the authorized representative of USHA Company showroom, or USHA distributor, is presented at
the time of the complaint. The Warranty is valid within the territory of India. Warranty starts from
Date of Purchase and not from Date of usage. The sale receipt is the proof of purchase of Product.
Incomplete warranty card will be treated as invalid. In the event of any complaint, please contact
USHA Care at Toll Free No. 18001033111.
The Product shall mean cooktops bearing the brand name USHA
This warranty does not apply to:
a) Damage caused due to normal wear and tear of parts, chipping, peeling, plating and denting of
the Product.
b) The discoloration of the glass (in case of insignia series).
c) Breakage of glass due to mishandling/external impact (glass hit by external articles like heavy
objects, wall etc.) will not be covered under warranty.
d) In case the product is not used as per the guidelines/instruction manual. Do not use tandoor
oven/batti cooker/any other similar products on the glass top as this may block the ame and
create abnormal temperature on the glass surface. The damage to the glass on account of this
will not be covered under warranty.
e) The parts of Product that may require replacement in connection with normal maintenance such
as Gas Jet, Gas Cook Assembly, Burn Plates, Knobs, Dents, Rubber Legs, Knobs, Paint Chipping or
Fading of the Products etc.
f) If the Product has not been installed, used and maintained as per the instruction manual.
g) If any repair and modication work(s) has been carried out by a person other than the Company
authorized person and service center.
h) Damages resulting from accidents, mishandling, improper use or negligence on part of the
customer and also damage during transit after the Product is purchased by the customer.
i) Damages resulting from change in factory setting of the Product.
j) Damage caused by liquids, incidental re and /or other external factors.
k) If the Product is not operated in accordance with instruction given in instruction manual due to
which Product is damaged. If the serial number of the Product is deleted, defaced and damaged
or removed for any reason whatsoever.
l) If Cylinder Valve, Pressure Regulator or tube is not conrming to the relevant specications
m) Failure to comply with safety precaution and/or maintenance guidelines given by supplier of
LPG / PNG or manufacturer of pressure cooker or any other utensils or appliances used on the
cooktop.
n) In case the Customer modies the Product for use with PNG (Piped Natural Gas), warranty will be
applicable for those components of Product which are not damaged due to leakage of gas.
Under no circumstances the Company shall be liable for any special, indirect, incidental,
exemplary or consequential loss or damages on any account whatsoever, due to tting of
Product with PNG or usage thereof.
o) Discoloration, Denting, Deformation & chipping or peeling of brass burners due to usage.
p) Products that are used for commercial purposes.
q) 5 year warranty is only for the Toughened glass and the product warranty shall remain in
force for 2 years.
r) In case of PNG (Factory tted) variant, if the gas valve is changed from PNG to LPG not by the
USHA authorised service technician than the warranty will not be valid.
s) The PNG (Factory tted) variant is also meant for domestic purpose only. In case used for
commercial purpose the warranty is not valid.
This warranty is in lieu of all others expressed or implied and does not cover:
a) Modication / Repair of the product not authorized by USHA;
b) Improper and unprofessional use;
c) Change in the factory setting of the product;
d) Accident and damage;
e) Usages other than as prescribed in the instruction manual for use;
f) Fire, ood and other act of God;
The Company shall not be responsible for any delay in servicing due to non-availability of the
components or due to any reason beyond the control of the Company. The failure of the Product to
perform any purpose other than the intended purpose will not be considered as default under the
warranty. This warranty is provided to the original purchaser of the Product and is not transferable to
any third party. This warranty is valid only when the failure of the Product does not arise due to use
for any unintended purpose. A defective Product/part will be repaired within the warranty period
provided it is properly packed. The Company price will be charged for worn out or broken parts not
covered under warranty. The claims for missing parts should be notied within 30 days from the date
of purchase of the Product or within such time frame as Company may deem t, exceeding which the
claim shall stand denied. The price will be charged for the broken part as per the Company price.
Limitation of liability: Under no circumstances the Company shall be liable for any special, indirect,
incidental, exemplary or consequential loss or damages, inter alia including, loss of prot, loss of use,
loss of revenues even if informed of possibility of these damages. The Company aggregate liability in
respect of all claims under the warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product or
at Company’s option, replacement of the Product with like or similar product. The Company excludes
all other warranties, conditions, terms, representations and undertakings whether express or implied.
Jurisdiction: This warranty terms shall be governed by laws of India and the courts at Delhi shall have
sole and exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any matters and dispute arising under this warranty.
