3.AIRCLEANER
1.Unsnap theair cleanercover springs,andremove theair cleanercover
2.Check theair cleanerelement tobe sureit isclean andin goodcondition.
3.If it isdirty,remove and clean
the element. (1)Wash in solvent
(2)Squeeze
(3)Soak oil
(4)Squeeze dry
4.Reinstall the air cleaner element
and secure the coverby setting
the cover spring.
4.STARTING THEENGINE
1.Disconnect any load from the
AC receptacle. 2.Turn the fuelvalve to
the ON position.
3.Pull the choke rodout to the CLOSED position.
Check the air cleaner element tobe sure itis clean.
4.Turn the engine switchto the
ON position.

5.GENERATOR USE
5.Pull thestarter griplightly untilresistance isfelt
then pullbriskly.
1.To prevent electrical shock fromfaulty appliances, the generator
should be grounded.
2.Combined load of the connected apparatusmust not exceed the rated capacityof the generator
Electric apparatus, particularly motor-drivenequipment, will draw a higher currentwhen starting. The
following table is providedfor your reference when connectingsuch apparatus to your generator.
Warning:Do notallow thestarter gripto snap
back againstthe engine.
Return itgently.
6.Push thechoke rodto the OPEN position
as theengine warmsup.

Connect a copper wire to the generator and the other end of wire
to a metal stake driven into the ground.

3.When twoor morepieces ofapparatus areconnected toyour generator, turnthem onbeginning
with theone drawinghigher currentwhen starting.
1.Start theengine
2.Make surethat theneedle onthe voltmeterindicates thevoltage.
3.Plug inthe appliance
Note:
a: Overcurrent willautomatically turnoff theACbreaker.When thatis
turned off,the generatorshall berestarted withload reduceda few
minutes thereafter.
B: Generally5-10% varianceof voltageoutput isallowed.

DC APPLICATION
The DCterminals maybe usedfor charging12V automotive-typebatteries only
1.Connect thecharging cablesto thebattery terminal.
2.Start theengine andcharge thebattery
An overloadedDC circuitwill tripthe DCcircuit breaker
(push buttoncomes out)If thishappens. Checkthe short
circuit orcounter connectionand waita fewminutes
before pushingthe circuitprotector.
NOTE:
3.Stop theengine, thendisconnect the
charging cablesin thereverse orderof
connection.
1.Turn off allelectrical appliances.

to the OFF position.
3.Disconnect theelectrical
appliance. 4.Turn thefuel valveto the
OFF position.

1.Remove the oil filler cap.
2.Remove the drain plug and drain the oil.
3.Dispose of oil property.
1.OIL CHANGE
4.Install the drain plug and tighten it securely.
5.Refill with the motor oil(see 3 page)and check the oil level
ENGINE OIL CAPACITY:37.2oz(1.1 Liter)
6.Install the oil filler cap.
Recommended oil:4-stroke motoroil serviceclassification SJ,SL,SGor SAE10W-30for general
temperature.

4.FUEL STRAINER
3.Install thefuel filterscreen andsediment cup.
1.Close the fuel valve, drain
the fuel from the fuel tank. 2.Drain the fuel from the carburetor. 3.Remove the oil filler cap
and drain plug to drain
the oil.
4.Tighten the oil drain plug
and fill the engine with
new oil to the filler neck. 5.Pull the starter grip carefully
until resistance is felt. 6. Store the generator
in a clean area.
