Congratulations on your new RONDA®560-V from
V. BRØNDUM A/S.
Description
RONDA®560-V is a robust wet vacuum with high suction
capacity. The built-in submersible pump with grinder/large
opening makes it possible to vacuum and pump out water
at the same time. Well suited for vacuuming large volumes
of water, for example at water damage restoration, basin
emptying, roof cleaning and vacuuming after pressure
washing pavers.
The integrated liquid-dust separator reduces the risk of
foam getting into the motor housing.
A fuse on the power outlet [6A] with manual reset protects
the components from overload in case the submersible
pump is blocked.

The user manual is to ensure a secure operation of the vacuum cleaner, and to secure that the user is in no
way uncertain as to the use. The manual must be stored near the vacuum cleaner.
Does any uncertainty arise as to the use of the vacuum cleaner or the material collected, the work should be
stopped until all questions have been cleared.
Pictures and drawings are for illustrative purpose and will make the understanding of the manual easier. The
pictures shown may therefore be different from the actual product.
Safety
This machine is not approved for vacuuming flammable, explosive, poisonous, or extremely health hazardous
dust, fluids or gasses. Furthermore, the operator must ensure that the appliance is adjusted to the task and
that regulatory requirements are met.
Please read the Safety Instructions which were delivered with the machine together with this user manual.
This machine is NOT approved for vacuuming flammable, explosive, poisonous, or extremely health
hazardous dust, fluids or gasses.
DO NOT USE THE VACUUM CLEANER WITHOUT A PROPER GROUND CONNECTION. This vacuum
cleaner is designed to be used with a grounding connection, in an installation with HFI or HPFI. The user
is responsible for ensuring that the wall outlet is grounded. The ground connection of the plug must NOT
be removed.
Make sure that the voltage and safety fuse of the power supply correspond with the data of the data plate
of the machine and the information given in the user manual.
Do not leave the machine unattended when in use.
The operator must ensure that the appliance is adjusted to the task and that regulatory requirements are
met.
Avoid damaging the supply cord. When replacing the supply cord, only use an original supply cord (see
the spare parts list). V. BRØNDUM A/S, an authorized V. BRØNDUM A/S dealer or an equally qualified
person must carry out the replacement in order to avoid danger. Regularly check the mains connection for
damage, such as fissures or ageing. If damage is found, the supply cord must be replaced before further
use.
Remove the plug from the power supply before repair, maintenance, and cleaning operations of the
machine.
The power outlet on the machine may only be used to operate the built-in pump.
This machine is intended for commercial use, e.g. in hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, shops, offices
and rental businesses, as well as professional use and damage restoration.
Before use, operators should be provided with information, instruction and training for the use of the
appliance and the substances for which it is to be used, including the safe method of removal and
disposal of the material collected.
For user servicing, the appliance must be dismantled, cleaned and serviced, as far as is reasonably
practicable, without causing risk to the maintenance staff and others. Suitable precautions include
decontamination before dismantling, provision for local filtered exhaust ventilation where the appliance is
dismantled, cleaning of the maintenance area and suitable personal protection.
When carrying out service or repair operations, all contaminated items, which cannot be satisfactorily
cleaned, are to be disposed of. Such items shall be disposed of in impervious bags in accordance with

RONDA®560-V 5 V. BRØNDUM A/S
any current regulation of the disposal of such waste.
The upper part of the motor top is a non-dust proof compartment, and when cleaning, the covers of this
compartment are removed by loosening the screws fixing the covers.
IMPORTANT! The vacuum cleaner must not be started with covers removed.
IMPORTANT! The motor top must never be covered when the vacuum cleaner is in use.
Foam
If large amounts of foam emerge, it will be necessary to use an antifoaming agent. Foam will follow the air flow
and is not necessarily held back by filters or floating valve.
WARNING:
If foam or liquid starts leaking from the machine, power supply must immediately be turned off. When
vacuuming fluid, the float valve closes when the container is full. The motor of the vacuum cleaner must be
turned off immediately, when this happens.
Machines with Submersible Pump
Clean the submersible pump after use. Rinse with clean water.
In case of the submersible pump shutting down, the plug must be removed from the mains socket
before the problem is examined and solved.
Unpacking and operation
Unpack the RONDA®560-V and make sure, that all the parts ordered are present. Check that no parts are
damaged. Especially pay attention to possible damages of the machine, the motor top, or the supply cable. If
any of those have been damaged, the machine must not be put into operation. Contact the reseller or V.
Brøndum A/S.
Power supply
Connect RONDA® 560-V to 230 V / 13A mains voltage at 50 Hz. Also note the data plate on top of the vacuum
cleaner.
Operation
Place the suction hose in the hose coupling of the vacuum cleaner and mount the tools appropriate for the
task (tube, nozzle etc.). Mount a drain hose (not included) on the stub of the submersible pump.
Foam
If large amounts of foam emerge, it will be necessary to use an antifoaming agent (normal cooking oil can be
used in certain cases). Foam will follow the air flow and is not necessarily held back by filters or floating valve.
Collection bag
Collection bags are available in various forms (NonWoven, mesh bags etc.).

RONDA®560-V 6 V. BRØNDUM A/S
Mixed materials, wet and dry
When collecting mixed materials we recommend using a wet-collection bag which holds back all larger
particles. The micro pre-filter located in the dust-liquid separator below the motor top catches any particles that
may pass through, and will need regular cleaning.
Troubleshooting
If your RONDA®560-V does not vacuum satisfactorily:
The suction hose, tube or nozzle may be clogged.
Remove the suction hose while the motor is running. If the motor sound changes, there is most likely a
clogging inside the hose, tube or nozzle.
Remove the clogging.
The container may be filled to overflowing (float valve cuts off).
Disconnect the machine from the power supply i.e. pull the plug out of the socket.
Remove the motor top.
Empty the container.
The filter may be blocked.
Remove the motor top.
Remove the blocked filter.
Clean or replace the filter.
A red diode indicates when the vacuum is too
high, for example because of a blockage. If the
blockage is not cleared, the machine will shut
down. To reset this emergency cut-off, turn off the
switches.
Red switch for pump power on/off. The pump itself
is equipped with an automatic float switch.
When assembling the vacuum cleaner, please
make sure that the two arrows on the dust-liquid
separator and the collection container respectively
are pointing towards one another. If not, internal
turbulence may impact the float switch and cut off
the suction.
