Vi ringraziamo per averci preferito nella scelta di questo prodotto,
di seguito chiamato ‘utensile’, ‘macchina’ o ‘elettrosega a catena’.
 ATTENZIONE! L’elettrosega a catena è idonea a tagliare legno
(abbattere piccoli alberi, sezionare tronchi abbattuti, tagliare rami
su tronchi abbattuti).
E’ vietato l’utilizzo per sfrondare gli alberi o per potare gli alberi
e nelle modalità con operatore sollevato da terra.
Questo istruzioni riportano le informazioni e quanto ritenuto neces-
sario per il buon uso, la conoscenza e la normale manutenzione
dell’utensile. Maggiori ed esaustive informazioni sulle tecniche di
taglio devono essere acquisite a cura dell’utilizzatore, su libri e pub-
blicazioni specifiche o partecipando a corsi di specializzazione con
addestramento pratico.

INSTALLAZIONE
ATTENZIONE! La Ditta costruttrice declina ogni responsabilità
per gli eventuali danni diretti e/o indiretti causati da un errato
allacciamento elettrico.
ATTENZIONE! Prima di effettuare le seguenti operazioni assicura-
tevi che la batteria non sia inserita nell’apparecchio
TRASPORTO
Per trasportare l’apparecchio utilizzate sempre il suo imballo; questo lo
preserverà da urti, polvere e umidità che ne possono compromettere
il regolare funzionamento. Durante il trasporto sganciate la batteria
dall’apparecchio.
MOVIMENTAZIONE
Afferrate l’apparecchio per l’impugnatura e portatelo a lato senza
toccare terra; dopo l’uso appoggiatelo delicatamente.
MESSA IN SERVIZIO
Nel luogo che utilizzerete l’apparecchio elettrico è opportuno consi-
derare:
- che la zona non sia umida e che agenti atmosferici avversi non
siano presenti.
- che attorno sia prevista un’ampia zona operativa libera da impe-
dimenti.
- che vi sia una buona illuminazione.
- che sia utilizzata in vicinanza dell’interruttore generale con differen-
ziale (per il caricabatterie).
- che l’impianto di alimentazione sia dotato di messa a terra conforme
alle norme (solo se l’apparecchio elettrico è di classe I, cioè dotato
di spina con cavo di terra).
- che la temperatura ambiente sia compresa tra 10° e 35° C.
- che l’ambiente non sia in atmosfera infiammabile/esplosiva.
Estraete l’apparecchio ed i componenti e verificate visivamente la loro
perfetta integrità; a questo punto procedete ad una accurata pulizia.
CARICA DELLA BATTERIA (Seguire le istruzioni allegate al
caricabatterie)
ATTENZIONE! Prima di utilizzare l’elettrosega è necessario effet-
tuare una carica completa della batteria.
ATTENZIONE! Ricaricare soltanto con un caricabatterie previsto
per questo tipo di apparecchio. Utilizzare un caricabatterie non
adatto può provocare guasti alle batterie, all’apparecchio e in
determinati casi, incendi.
Per mantenere efficiente la batteria, non scaricarla completamente.
Eseguite una successiva ricarica completa:
- Dopo ogni utilizzo.
- Almeno ogni 4 mesi, anche in caso di inutilizzo.
- Se durante il lavoro notate un calo evidente delle prestazioni dell’ap-
parecchio.
INSERIMENTO E RIMOZIONE DELLA BATTERIA (fig.D)
- Inserite le batteria attraverso le guide presenti sull’alloggiamento
batteria. (pos.1)
- Estraete la batteria dalla sede dell’utensile agendo sul dispositivo di
sgancio presente sulle batterie (pos.15)
ATTENZIONE! La macchina funziona esclusivamente inserendo
entrambe le batterie. Non utilizzare batterie con capacità diversa.

ISTRUZIONI PER IL MONTAGGIO
ATTENZIONE! Prima di effettuare qualunque lavoro sull’appa-
recchio staccate le batterie dall’apparecchio.
ATTENZIONE! Maneggiando la catena usare sempre guanti pro-
tettivi antitaglio.
BARRA A TENSIONAMENTO ‘SENZA UTENSILI’ CON PIASTRA
TENDICATENA
1 Assemblaggio della barra, della catena e del carter (Fig. C)
- Porre la macchina su una superficie piana e togliere il carter (18)
svitando il volantino (17).
- Inserire la catena (12) attorno alla barra (10) facendo attenzione a
rispettare la corretta direzione del tagliente.
- Passare la catena attorno alla ruota dentata (19) e posizionare la
barra sul perno (16).
- Tirare la barra verso destra per tendere leggermente la catena.
- Montare il carter (18) inserendo correttamente i pioli di riferimento.
- Fissare il carter girando il volantino (17) fino a finecorsa.
Il volantino dovrebbe tensionare la catena in modo automatico
ATTENZIONE! Non usare la macchina prima di avere tensionato
la catena.
ATTENZIONE! Durante l’utilizzo la catena potrebbe allentarsi.
Seguire le istruzioni presenti nel paragrafo successivo.
2 Tensionamento della catena (Fig.C)
- Allentare di qualche giro il volantino (17)e fissarlo nuovamente, la
catena dovrebbe tensionarsi correttamente.
- Se la catena risultasse troppo tesa, girare il volantino (17) e ripetere
la regolazione.
ATTENZIONE! La tensione della catena deve essere controllata
ogni volta che si inizia il lavoro, dopo i primi tagli e regolarmente
ogni 10 minuti.
ATTENZIONE! Durante i primi tagli, quando la macchina è ancora
nuova la catena potrebbe allentarsi. Questo è un comportamento
normale.
ATTENZIONE! Non lasciate mai la catena allentata perché può
uscire dalla barra mentre si sta tagliando.
ATTENZIONE! La catena troppo tesa o troppo allentata può usurarsi
in modo anomalo usurando anche la barra.
3. RIEMPIMENTO DEL SERBATOIO OLIO E LUBRIFICAZIONE DELLA
CATENA
ATTENZIONE! Per il riempimento del serbatoio non utilizzare
olio vecchio o riciclato. Utilizzare olio per lubrificazione catene
biocompatibile e biodegradabile.
Premessa:
L’ utensile viene fornito con il serbatoio vuoto.
-Non mettere mai in funzione l’utensile senza olio o con il livello sotto alla
tacca del minimo perché ne verrebbe compromessa la funzionalità e la
sicurezza dell’operatore.
- Svitare il tappo dell’olio (Fig.A nr.6) e riempire il serbatoio con olio per
catene biodegradabile reperibile nei negozi specializzati , ferramenta,
negozi per macchine agricole, ecc...
- Riempire il serbatoio ad un livello massimo di 2 cm sotto al tappo,
facendo attenzione a non introdurre sporcizia, trucioli o polvere al
suo interno.
- ATTENZIONE! È molto importante pulire sempre l’ utensile (con un
pennellino) nella zona del tappo, prima di eseguire il rifornimento.
- ATTENZIONE! Il livello dell’olio deve essere controllato frequente-
mente durante il funzionamento, per evitare che la catena rimanga
senza lubrificante. Se la catena viene fatta funzionare senza olio o
con livello sotto la tacca del minimo, vi sarà una rapida usura della
catena e della barra e la durata dell’utensile si ridurrà.
Tramite la finestra di ispezione (nr. 9), controllare frequentemente
che non scenda sotto il livello minimo
-ATTENZIONE! L’autonomia con un pieno d’olio può variare da 10 a
30 minuti circa a seconda del tipo di legno che si sta tagliando, dalla
temperatura ambiente, dalla densità dell’olio e dal modo di impiego.

Luce rossa - intervenuta emergenza (rilasciare/ripremere l’interruttore)
ISTRUZIONI PER IL FUNZIONAMENTO
1. Come avviare l’elettrosega
2. Come arrestare l’elettrosega
3. Controllo del corretto funzionamento dell’oliatore automatico
4. Controllo che il dispositivo freno della catena funzioni corretta-
mente.
5. Controllo dell’arresto catena al rilascio della leva di accensione.
Queste operazioni vengono di seguito descritte punto per punto:
1. Come avviare l’elettrosega
- Accertarsi che il freno della catena sia disattivato, tirando indietro
(verso il motore) il paramano anteriore (nr.8).
- Afferrare l’utensile con entrambe le mani, la mano sinistra
sull’impugnatura anteriore (nr.7 fig.A) e la mano destra su quella
posteriore (nr.2 fig.A).
- Accendere l’ utensile premendo prima il pulsante di sblocco (nr.5)
e successivamente tirare la leva di accensione (nr.4).
Nota: una volta che l’ utensile è in funzione non è necessario
mantenere premuto il pulsante di sblocco.
Il pulsante di sblocco (nr.5) è un dispositivo di sicurezza che impedisce
l’avviamento accidentale.
2. Come arrestare l’elettrosega
- L’ utensile si arresta automaticamente quando viene rilasciata la
leva di accensione (nr.4)
3.Controllo del corretto funzionamento dell’oliatore automatico
Premessa:
- Accertarsi che il serbatoio sia riempito d’olio.
- Accendere l’utensile sopra un foglio di cartone tenendo la lama
a circa 4 cm di distanza.
- Se entro un minuto si forma una macchia d’olio sul cartone significa
che il dispositivo di lubrificazione funziona correttamente.
Se non si riscontra nessuna traccia, leggete il paragrafo “Ricerca
Guasti“.
4. Verifica leva (paramano) freno di emergenza
Premessa:
Il freno della catena è un dispositivo di sicurezza che si attiva eserci-
tando una pressione contro il paramano anteriore (8 fig.A) quando,
in caso di contraccolpo, la mano dell’operatore colpisce la leva.
Quando viene azionato il freno della catena, il movimento della catena
si arresta entro 0,15 sec.
Lo scopo del freno catena è quello di ridurre il pericolo in caso di
contraccolpi.
Prima di utilizzare la motosega è necessario testare il freno della catena nel
modo seguente:
- Accertarsi che il freno della catena sia disattivato spingendo il
paramano anteriore (nr.8) verso il motore.
- Posizionare l’utensile su un piano solido e sgombro da oggetti
- Collegare l’apparecchio all’alimentazione, impugnare con entram-
be le mani l’ utensile ed accenderlo.
- Mentre l’utensile è in funzione, attivare il freno della catena spin-
gendo la mano sinistra contro il paramano ( nr.8)
- La catena deve fermarsi all’istante.
N.B. Rilasciare immediatamente la leva di accensione.
-ATTENZIONE! Qualora la catena non dovesse fermarsi quando
si attiva il freno, fare controllare la motosega presso un centro
assistenza autorizzato. Non utilizzare la motosega se il freno a
catena non funziona!.

AFFILATURA DELLA CATENA
- Fare eseguire la manutenzione della catena da un’officina specia-
lizzata.
- ATTENZIONE! se la catena non è affilata aumenta il rischio di
contraccolpo
ABBATTIMENTO E PROCEDURE DI SICUREZZA
Di seguito verranno trattati i seguenti argomenti:
1. Consigli a che utilizza l’utensile per la prima volta.
2. Consigli sugli indumenti di sicurezza
3. Limitazione d’accesso alle zone pericolose
4. Precauzioni per le condizioni meteorologiche, per le persone
circostanti ed eventuali regolamenti locali.
5. Preparazione ed uso delle vie di fuga
6. Effetto del suolo in pendenza
7. Abbattimento in relazione alla capacità di taglio della sega
8. Come controllare la direzione di caduta sotto taglio
9. Uso di cunei per l’abbattimento
10. Taglio dei rami (sramatura)
11. Taglio del tronco abbattuto
12. Taglio del legno sui supporti
1. Consigli a chi utilizza una motosega per la prima volta
Colui che utilizza l’utensile per la prima volta deve ricevere istruzioni
pratiche inerenti all’uso di una sega a catena e sull’equipaggiamento
da parte di un operatore esperto; la pratica iniziale dovrebbe essere
il taglio del legno su un cavalletto o intelaiatura.
2. Consigli sugli indumenti di sicurezza
Per la protezione dai rischi residui presenti nell’uso dell’utensile, si
devono utilizzare adeguati indumenti ed accessori. In genere i dispo-
sitivi da utilizzare sono:
- Pantaloni con imbottitura antitaglio
- Giacca colorata per assicurare la visibilità dell’operatore
- Ghette resistenti al taglio e calzatura con suola antiscivolo, punta
antischiacciamento e antitaglio.
- Guanti antitaglio e, eventualmente , antivibranti per lo smorzamento
delle vibrazioni.
- Casco con visiera, per la protezione dai rami in caduta e dalla proiezione
di materiali.
- Cuffia insonorizzante per la protezione dell’udito.
3. Limitazione d’accesso alle zone pericolose
Delimitare l’accesso dell’area con appositi segnali e cartelli di pericolo.
4. Precauzioni per le condizioni meteorologiche, per le persone
circostanti ed eventuali regolamenti locali.
 ATTENZIONE! Non utilizzare l’utensile con condizioni ambientali
avverse es: pioggia, neve, scarsa visibilità, vicino a cavi o reti
elettriche o dove c’è pericolo di esplosioni.
- Non tagliate in presenza di persone o animali e mantenetevi ad
una distanza doppia dell’altezza dell’albero.
- Informatevi su eventuali restrizioni al taglio emesse da enti fore-
stali, comunali...
5. Preparazione ed uso delle vie di fuga (vedasi anche punto 6)
 ATTENZIONE! Prima di iniziare le operazioni di taglio bisogna
scegliere la direzione di caduta, identificare le vie di fuga, liberare
le vie di fuga dagli ostacoli.
N.B: La direzione di caduta viene definita mediante l’intaglio
- Le vie di fuga per l’operatore sono schematizzate nella figura
sottostante (vista dall’alto):
a) Direzione dell’abbattimento
b) area pericolosa
c) via di fuga
6. Effetto del suolo in pendenza
 ATTENZIONE! quando si sta abbattendo un albero su un piano in-
clinato, l’operatore deve posizionarsi sul lato a monte in quanto l’albero
rotolerà a valle una volta tagliato.

7. Abbattimento in relazione alla capacità di taglio della sega
Non eseguite tagli su diametri superiori alla lunghezza di taglio utile (vedi
dati tecnici).
È bene non esagerare con il diametro di taglio.
8.Come controllare la direzione di caduta sotto taglio
Di norma l’abbattimento consiste in due tagli principali, l’intaglio e il
taglio vero e proprio necessario per la caduta dell’albero.

- Iniziare con l’intaglio superiore sul lato dell’albero che guarda la
direzione di caduta.
- L’intaglio deve avere una profondità pari a circa 1/3 del diametro
del tronco.
- Dopo l’intaglio, eseguire il taglio vero e proprio dall’altra parte
dell’albero a 5 cm sopra l’altezza dell’intaglio (fig 1).
- non camminare davanti all’albero dal lato di caduta quando si è
già fatto l’intaglio.
 ATTENZIONE! prima di procedere con il taglio finale controllare che
nell’area di caduta non ci siano persone, animali, cose.
 ATTENZIONE! Quando l’albero inizia a cadere, estrarre la motosega
dal taglio, posare la motosega a terra e lasciare velocemente la zona
lungo la via di fuga.

9. Uso di cunei per l’abbattimento
- Utilizzare cunei di legno o di plastica (G fig.2) per impedire che
la barra o la catena rimangano impigliatii nel tronco.

 ATTENZIONE! Quando l’albero inizia a cadere, estrarre la motosega
dal taglio, posare la motosega a terra e lasciare velocemente la zona
lungo la via di fuga.
10. Taglio dei rami (sramatura)
Premessa:
Questa operazione consiste nel tagliare i rami dell’albero abbattuto.
Nota: non tagliare i rami che sostengono l’albero abbattuto prima di
averlo tagliato a pezzi. (fig 3)
 A TTENZIONE! non salire mai sul tronco per tagliare.

11. Taglio del tronco abbattuto
Premessa:
Questa operazione consiste nel tagliare il tronco abbattuto in vari pezzi.
Di seguito sono indicati i metodi di taglio in funzione della posizione
del tronco abbattuto:
1. Tronco sostenuto su tutta la sua lunghezza:
Tagliare dall’alto verso il basso (fig 4).

2. Tronco sostenuto su una estremità:
Tagliare prima dal basso per 1/3 di tronco e poi dall’alto verso il basso
fino a congiungersi con il taglio precedente. (fig 5).

12. Taglio del legno sui supporti (cavalletti)
Per poter lavorare con facilità e in sicurezza, è importante mantenere
un corretta posizione :
- Distribuire il peso su entrambi i piedi.
- Tenere la motosega alla vostra destra durante il taglio
PULIZIA
ATTENZIONE! Prima di effettuare qualunque lavoro sull’appa-
recchio staccare le batterie.
- Rimuovere regolarmente lo sporco e i depositi di legno dalle
feritoie di raffreddamento del motore (nr.14 fig A Pos.1 ).
Il raffreddamento del motore è molto importante e questa ope-
razione deve essere fatta regolarmente anche durante l’uso se si
notano dei depositi.
Per la pulizia delle feritoie di ventilazione si consiglia di usare un pen-
nellino asciutto.
- Dopo ogni lavorazione prolungata, smontare barra e catena e pulirle
con un pennellino.
Rimuove con cura i depositi di legno sulla ruota dentata ( nr.19)
, vicino al perno di fissaggio barra (16) e sotto il carter.
- Tenere costantemente pulita la zona di rabbocco olio e la finestra
di ispezione per evitare che entrino impurità nel serbatoio.
- Per la pulizia superficiale delle parti in plastica usare un panno,
pennello, o spazzola morbida.
- Se l’ utensile non viene usato per un lungo tempo si consiglia di
svuotare il serbatoio, pulire catena e barra in bagno d’olio e riporle
avvolte in carta oleata.
MANUTENZIONE
ATTENZIONE! Prima di effettuare qualunque lavoro sull’appa-
recchio staccare la spina della presa di alimentazione.
- Tendere la catena quando è necessario
- Fare eseguire affilatura e manutenzione della catena da un’officina
specializzata quando è necessario.
- Lubrificare o ingrassare periodicamente il cuscinetto posto sulla
punta della barra.
- Tenere costantemente puliti i passaggi olio sulla barra.
- Sostituire la catena quando, dopo varie affilature, la lunghezza del
dente ha raggiunto 3-4 millimetri o quando le maglie della catena
si saranno usurate. (Tipo catena: vedi dati tecnici )
- Sostituire la barra nel caso abbia subito deformazioni o danneg-
giamenti. (Tipo barra: vedi dati tecnici).
- Non smaltite l’olio esausto con i rifiuti domestici ma consegnatelo
negli appositi centri di raccolta.

IMMAGAZZINAMENTO
1)Effettuare un accurata manutenzione e pulizia di tutto l’utensile
come specificato nei relativi paragrafi.
2)Dove immagazzinare l’utensile:
- Lontano dalla portata dei bambini
- In posizione stabile e sicura
- In luogo asciutto e temperato
- Lontano dalla luce diretta
- Non chiuderlo in sacchi di nylon, potrebbe formarsi umidità.
DEMOLIZIONE
I rifiuti elettrici ed elettronici possono contenere sostanze peri-
colose per l’ambiente e per la salute umana; non devono pertanto
essere smaltiti con quelli domestici ma mediante una raccolta
separata negli appositi centri di raccolta o riconsegnati al venditore
nel caso di acquisto di una apparecchiatura nuova analoga. Lo
smaltimento abusivo dei rifiuti comporta l’applicazione di sanzioni
amministative.
Non smaltite l’olio esausto con i rifiuti domestici ma consegnatelo

 IMPORTANT! The electric chain saw is suitable for cutting wood
(felling small trees, sectioning felled trunks, cutting branches on
felled trunks).
Pruning or trimming trees with the operator off the ground is
prohibited.
These instructions contain information deemed necessary for proper
use, knowledge and standard tool maintenance. Additional com-
prehensive information on cutting techniques must be acquired by the
user, from specific book and publications or by attending specialised
courses with practical training.

INSTALLATION
WARNING! The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any
direct and / or indirect damage caused by an incorrect electrical
connection.
WARNING! Before performing the following operations, make sure
that the battery is not inserted in the appliance
TRANSPORT
To transport the appliance always use its packaging; this will protect
it from impacts, dust and humidity which can compromise its regular
operation. During transport, disconnect the battery from the appliance.
HANDLING
Hold the appliance by the handle and bring it to the side without
touching the ground; after use place it gently.
COMMISSIONING
In the place that you will use the electrical appliance it is worth
considering:
- that the area is not damp and that adverse weather conditions are
not present.
- that a large operational area free of impediments is provided around.
- that there is good lighting.
- which is used in the vicinity of the main switch with differential (for
the battery charger).
- that the power supply system is earthed in compliance with the
standards (only if the electrical appliance is of class I, ie equipped
with a plug with earth cable).
- that the ambient temperature is between 10 ° and 35 ° C.
- that the environment is not in a flammable / explosive atmosphere.
Remove the appliance and the components and visually check their
perfect integrity; at this point proceed to a thorough cleaning.
CHARGING THE BATTERY (Follow the instructions attached to the
charger)
WARNING! Before using the electric saw, the battery must be
fully charged.
WARNING! Only charge with a charger designed for this type of
device. Using an unsuitable battery charger can cause the battery
to malfunction, and in certain cases, fire.
To keep the battery efficient, do not discharge it completely.
Perform a subsequent full top-up:
- After each use.
- At least every 4 months, even if not used.
- If during work you notice a noticeable drop in the performance of
the appliance.
INSERTING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY (fig.D)
- Insert the batteries through the guides on the battery compartment.
(Item 1)
- Remove the battery from the tool housing by acting on the release
device on the batteries (pos.15)
WARNING! The machine works exclusively by inserting both bat-
teries. Do not use batteries with different capacities.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT! Before carrying out any operation on the chain saw,
disconnect the batteries from the appliance.
IMPORTANT! Always use protective gloves when handling the
chain.
BAR WITH “NO TOOLS” TENSIONING, WITH TENSIONING PLATE
1. Assembly of the bar, the chain, and the housing (Fig. C)
- Place the chain saw on a flat surface and remove the housing (18)
by unscrewing the wheel (17).
- Insert the chain (12) around the bar (10) being careful to assemble
it in the correct direction.
- Pass the chain around the sprocket (19) and positioning the bar

on the pin (16).
- Pull the bar to the right to slightly tension the chain.
- Assemble the housing (18), correctly inserting the reference pins.
- Fix the cover by turning the handwheel (17) up to the limit switch.
The handwheel should automatically tension the chain
WARNING! Do not use the machine before tensioning the chain.
WARNING! The chain may become loose during use. Follow the
instructions in the next paragraph.
2 Tensioning the chain (Fig.C)
- Loosen the handwheel (17) by a few turns and fix it again, the chain
should tighten correctly.
- If the chain is too tight, turn the handwheel (17) and repeat the
adjustment.
WARNING! The chain tension should be checked every time you
start work, after the first cuts and regularly every 10 minutes.
WARNING! During the first cuts, when the machine is still new the
chain may come loose. This is normal behavior.
WARNING! Never leave the chain loose because it can come out
of the bar while you are cutting.
WARNING! The chain that is too tight or too loose can wear out
abnormally and wear out the bar.
3. FILLING THE TANK AND LUBRICATION OF THE CHAIN
IMPORTANT! Do not use old or recycled oil to fill the tank. Use
biocompatible and biodegradable chain lubrication oil.
Introduction:
The chain saw is sold with an empty tank.
- Do not use the chain saw without oil or with an oil level under
the minimum as it will compromise the proper functioning of the
equipment and operator safety.
- Unscrew the oil cap (Fig. A nr. 6) and fill the tank with biodegradable
chain oil available in specialized shops, hardware stores, agricultural
machinery dealers, etc.
- Fill the tank to a maximum of 2 cm below the cap, being careful not
to introduce dirt, sawdust, or dust inside.
- IMPORTANT! It is very important to keep the chain saw clean (with
a brush) around the cap before refilling.
- IMPORTANT! The oil level must be controlled frequently during
running because the chain must always be lubricated. If the chain
saw runs without oil or with oil below the minimum level, the chain
and the bar will wear out quickly and tool’s lifespan will be reduced.
Check the oil level frequently through the inspection window (nr.9)
to ascertain that it does not fall below the minimum.
- IMPORTANT! One fill-up of oil may last from 10 to 30 minutes accor-
ding to the type of wood being cut, the environmental temperature,
the oil density, and the usage of the chain saw.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Starting the electric chain saw

5. Controlling the stoppage of the chain when the start lever is
released.
These operations are described individually below:
1. Starting the electric chain saw
- Check that the chain brake is deactivated, pulling back (towards the
motor) the front hand guard (nr. 8).
- Hold the saw firmly with both hands when running, with your right
hand on the rear hand grip (nr. 2 Fig. A) and the left hand on the
front hand grip (nr. 7 Fig. A).
- Turn on the chain saw by pushing the release button (nr. 5) first and
then pulling the start lever (nr. 4).
Note: once the chain saw is running, it is not necessary to hold
down the release button.
The release button (nr. 5) is a safety device that prevents accidental
starts.
2. Stopping the electric chain saw
- The chain saw stops automatically when the start lever (nr. 4) is
released.
3. Controlling that the automatic oiler functions correctly
Introduction:
- Check that the tank is full of oil.
- Turn on the chain saw over a sheet of cardboard holding the blade
about 4 cm away.
- If an oil stain forms on the cardboard within a minute, the lubrication
device is working correctly. If there is no oil on the cardboard, read
the “Troubleshooting” paragraph.
4. Check the emergency brake lever (hand guard)
Introduction:
The chain brake is a safety device that is activated by exerting pressure
against the front hand guard (nr.8 Fig. A) when, in case of a kickback,
the operator’s hand hits the lever. When the chain brake is activated,
the movement of the chain is arrested within 0.15 seconds.
The purpose of the chain brake is to reduce danger in case of kickback.
Before using the chain saw, you must test the chain brake as follows:
- Check that the chain brake is deactivated, pulling the front hand
guard (nr. 8) back towards the motor.
- Position the chain saw on a solid flat surface that has been cleared
of all objects.
- Connect the chain saw to the power supply, take it in both hands,
and turn it on.
- While the chain saw is functioning, activate the chain brake by
pushing your left hand against the hand guard (nr.8).
- The chain should stop instantly.
N.B. Release the start lever immediately.
- IMPORTANT! If the chain does not stop when the brake is activated,
have the chain saw checked at an authorised customer service
centre.Do not use the chain saw if the chain brake does not function
properly!
SHARPENING THE CHAIN
- Bring the chain to a specialized workshop for maintenance.
- IMPORTANT! If the chain is not sharpened regularly, the risk of
kickback is increased.
FELLING TREES AND SAFETY PROCEDURES
The following topics will be discussed below:

1. Advice for those using the chain saw for the first time
Those who are using the chain saw for the first time should receive
practical instructions concerning its use and gear by an expert ope-
rator. A beginner should first practice by cutting wood on a trestle
or other support.
2. Useful suggestions concerning safety gear
For protection from other risks related to the use of this tool, adequate
clothing and gear must be used. In general, the following devices

should be used:
- Heavy-duty padded trousers.
- Coloured jacket to ensure that the operator is easily visible.
- Heavy-duty leggings and heavy-duty, safety shoes with non-skid soles
and steel toes.
- Heavy-duty gloves and, if possible, insulated to dampen vibrations.
- Helmet with visor for protection from falling branches and materials.
- Soundproof headphones to protect hearing.
3. Limiting access to danger zones
Limit access to the area by marking it off with warning signs.
4. Precautions to be taken according to weather conditions for
people in the area and eventual local regulations.
- IMPORTANT! Do not use the chain saw in adverse weather condi-
tions: rain, snow, low visibility, near cables or electrical networks, or
where there may be a risk of explosions.
- Never cut in the presence of people or animals and keep at a distance
twice the height of the tree.
- Find out about any restrictions on forest cutting issued by institu-
tions, municipal ...
5. Preparing and using escape routes (see also point 6)
- IMPORTANT! Before you begin felling a tree, you must decide
the fall direction, identify the escape route and then eliminate all
obstacles along it.
N.B.: The direction of the fall is determined by the cut.
- The escape routes for the operator are outlined in figure below.

6. Felling trees on slopes
- IMPORTANT! When felling a tree on a slope, the operator must
position himself on the upper side because, once the tree is cut, it
will roll downhill.

7. Felling trees in relation to the saw’s cutting capacity.
Do not make cuts on diameters greater than the maximum cutting
length (see technical specifications). It is always better not to exag-
gerate the diameter of the cut.
8.How to control the fall direction of the tree being cut.
Usually, felling a tree consists of two main cuts, the face cut and the
undercut which is needed to fell the tree.

- Begin with the face cut on the side of the tree facing the direction
of the fall.
- The cut must be as deep as about 1/3 of the trunk diameter.
- After this operation, make the cut on the other side of the tree at
about 5 cm above the height of the face cut (Fig. 1).
- Do not walk in front of the tree on the fall side after you have made
the cut.
- IMPORTANT! Before proceeding with the final cut, check that there
are no persons, animals, or objects in the fall area.
- IMPORTANT! When the tree begins to fall, extract the chain saw
from the cut, lay it on the ground, and leave the area quickly along
the escape route.
9. Using wedges for felling trees
- Use wooden or plastic wedges (G Fig.2) to prevent the bar or the
chain from getting lodged in the trunk.

- IMPORTANT! When the tree begins to fall, extract the chain saw
from the cut, lay it on the ground, and leave the area quickly along
the escape route.
10. Cutting branches (debranching)
Introduction:
This operation consists of cutting the branches of felled trees.
Note: Do not cut the branches that support the felled tree before
cutting it in pieces. (Fig.3)
- IMPORTANT! Do not climb onto the trunk to cut it.

Introduction:
This operation consists of cutting the felled trunk into several pieces.
Methods for cutting the trunk according to its position follow:
1. Trunk supported along its entire length:

12. Cutting wood on supports (trestles)
In order to work easily and safely, it is important to maintain a correct
position:
- Distribute your weight on both feet.
- Hold the chain saw to your right while cutting.
CLEANING
IMPORTANT! Before carrying out any operation on the chain saw,
disconnect the batteries.
- Regularly remove dirt and wood deposits from the motor cooling
vents (nr. 14 Fig. A Pos. 1).
Cooling the motor is very important and this operation must be carried
out regularly even during use, if deposits are noticed.
It is recommended that a dry brush be used to clean the cooling vents.
- After every extensive working period, disassemble the bar and chain
and clean them with a brush.
Carefully remove the wood deposits from the sprocket (nr. 19), near
the bar fixing pin (16), and from under the housing.
- Keep the area near the oil tank cap and the inspection window clean
so that no impurities enter the tank.
- Clean the surfaces of plastic parts with a rag, a brush, or a soft
brush.
- If the chain saw is not used for a long period of time, it is recommended
that the you empty the tank, clean the chain and bar in an oil bath, and
store them in greaseproof paper.
MAINTAINING
IMPORTANT! Before carrying out any operation on the chain saw,
disconnect the plug from the power supply.
- Tension the chain when necessary
- Bring the chain to a specialized workshop for maintenance and
sharpening as needed.
- Lubricate or grease the ball bearings on the nose of the bar regularly.
- Keep the oil channels on the bar clean.
- Replace the chain when, after repeated sharpenings, the length of
the tooth has reached 3-4 mm or when the links are worn. (Chain
type: see technical data)
- Replace the bar if deformed or damaged. (Bar type: see technical
specifications)
Do not dispose of used oil with domestic waste, but take it to the
special Collection Centres.

STORAGE
1) Carry out an accurate maintenance and cleaning of the entire chain
saw as specified in the paragraphs above.
2) Where to store the chain saw:
- Out of reach of children
- In a stable and safe place
- In a warm, dry place
- Out of direct sunlight
- Do not store in plastic bags as humidity may form.
DEMOLITION
Electric and electronic waste may contain substances that are
dangerous for the environment and for human health. For this rea-
son they must never be disposed of together with domestic waste,
but collected separately in specific collection centres or returned to
the retailer when similar new equipment has been purchased. The
illegal disposal of such equipment may result in prosecution to the
full extent of the law.
Do not dispose of used oil with domestic waste, but take it to the
special Collection Centres.
WARRANTY
The product is protected by law against non-compliance with the de-
clared characteristics provided it is used only in the manner described
in the instructions, it has not been tampered with in any way, it has
been stored properly, has been repaired by authorized and, where
applicable, have been used only original spare parts.
In the case of industrial or professional use or when using such a
guarantee is valid for 12 months.
To issue a claim under warranty you must present proof of purchase
to your dealer or authorized service center.
