Thank you for buying this Dust & Vac.
Taking care of your hard oors
The Dust & Vac is designed to make cleaning sealed hard oors regularly, as eective and
ecient as possible and this user guide will help you get the most out of your machine.
Maintaining your hard oors will ensure they keep their appearance for longer and smell fresh
and clean. You’ve chosen hard oors for your home for a reason and Vax will help you take good
care of them.
Taking care of your Dust & Vac
Also inside this guide are instructions on maintaining your new machine, so that it’s always ready
when you are, to tackle your hard oors.
This Dust & Vac is intended for household use
only and NOT for commercial or industrial use.
• This Dust & Vac does not stay upright without
constant support.
• Only use the Dust & Vac indoors and keep the area you’re
cleaning well lit.
• Keep ngers, hair and loose clothing from moving parts and
openings whilst using the Dust & Vac.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Only Vax recommended tools and accessories should be used
with this Dust & Vac.
Basic safety precautions
3Always make sure the lter and dirt container are tted
correctly before using your Dust & Vac.
3Always turn o and unplug the Dust & Vac before carrying out
any maintenance.
3Turn o all controls on the Dust & Vac before disconnecting or
connecting the power cord. After use always wrap the power
cord around the cord clips provided.
3Take extra care when cleaning on the stairs.
3 Always replace the fuse in the plug with a 13amp fuse.
3 Always protect the power cord from heated surfaces or near
open ames.
3Use only CE approved 13amp extension cords, non-approved
extension cords may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange
the extension cord as it can be a trip hazard.
3Always carry the Dust & Vac by the handle.
3Store your Dust & Vac in a cool, dry area.
Don’ts
Do’s
8Don’t use this Dust & Vac if it has been dropped, damaged,
immersed in water or left outdoors.
8Don’t run over the power cord or use Dust & Vac if the power
cord or plug is damaged. Please contact our Customer
Care Line on: 0844 4128 455 (Mon-Fri 08:30-18:30
Sat 09:00-17:00).
8Don’t handle the plug or use the Dust & Vac with
wet hands.
8 Don’t throw the Dust & Vac into re or expose to
high temperatures.
8Don’t pull or carry this Dust & Vac by the power cord.
8 Don’t use the power cord as a handle, pull the power cord
around corners or sharp edges or close a door over the
power cord.
8 Don’t unplug Dust & Vac by pulling on the power cord.
8Don’t attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects as this
may cause damage to your Dust & Vac.
8Don’t use the Dust & Vac with incorrect voltage as this may
result in damage or injury to the user. The correct voltage is
listed on the ratings label.
8 Don’t vacuum up hot coals, cigarette butts, matches or smoking
hot burning items or use in an area where there may be
harmful uids (chlorine, bleach, and ammonia drain cleaner).

To ret the dirt container tilt so that the bottom aligns
rst, then gently push until it locks into place
Grasp the center tab on
the lter and pull out of

To empty the Dust & Vac

Important: DO NOT USE BLEACH or FABRIC SOFTENER. For best results, wash the microbre cloth after every use
Always switch o and unplug Dust & Vac

• Check the ‘This pack contains’ panel on the box to make
sure the part is included with your machine.
• Ensure the handle is tted correctly and pushed fully on to
the main body.
• Check the fuse in the plug. Always replace the fuse in the plug
with a British 13amp fuse.
• Dirt container may be full and may need to be emptied.
• Filter may need to be washed please allow 24 hours to dry
before retting.
• Clear any blockages from the machine. (See page 8)
