WARNINGS
•Failure to follow all the instructions in this manual can cause property damage, injury or
death.
•Improper installation, adjustment or alteration can cause property damage, injury or death.
•Electrical connections should be performed only by a certified professional.
•Electrical and grounding connections must comply with the National Electric Code and local
electric codes. Failure to comply with this procedure can cause property damage, injury or
death.
•Before connecting the unit to the electrical supply, verify that the electrical connection
agrees with the specifications on the data plate, placed on the main electrical box of the
unit. Failure to comply with this procedure can cause property damage, injury or death.
2.1.Climma C-Touch display location
Choose the right location to install the panel; the Climma C-Touch display has a built in
temperature sensor which will measure the ambient temperature, therefore it’s suggested to install
it at the mid height of the cabin, on an inside wall that provides a good air circulation.
The Climma C-Touch display should not be installed in a position where the temperature reading
can may be spoiled by other heat/cold sources (under a light, or under direct sunlight, close a
technical compartment, in corners where there’s no air circulation, … ).
The display must be installed close to the unit to control, in a way that it can be connected with the
cable (Climma cables are supplied 6mt as standard, or 12mt and 18mt as optional).
If it’s not possible to have the display in a good position, it’s always possible to install a secondary
probe connected to the electronic board itself (MSENS Climma external temperature sensor); when
plugging in the secondary sensor, it will override the reading of the sensor on the display.
1.1.Cut-out and display mounting
Once the right location is selected, make a cut-out to install the display of:
Image 1. Suggested cut-out in mm.
Make sure the cable MCAV* is connected to the electronic board controlling the Climma Compact
or Fancoil unit, and then make the cable pass through the cut-out.

Veco SpA
Installation Manual –Page 6 / 13
Plug in the other side of the MCAV* cable to the C-Touch display and then position the display in
the cut-out, fixing it with screws to the wall.
While mounting the display in its final position, be careful about the NTC sensor on the back of the
display, it must get into the cut-out. If necessary, gently bend it towards the back of the display.
Image 3. Back of the display.
1.2.Battery
Climma C-Touch display comes with a battery, already supplied and mounted on the panel itself.
The battery is a non-rechargeable battery, battery voltage is 3 V and battery type is CR2032.
The battery is used only when the panel is powered off; the battery will last for a minimum of 2
years when powered off.
When the battery dies, you need to change it and then reset date and time values on the display
(all the other parameters and information will remain in the display memory).
1.1.Battery change
To change the battery, you need to turn off the unit, and remove the panel from the wall,
unplugging the connection cable to the unit.
Then remove the back cover of the panel, as in the following picture.
Then change the battery with the new one (always 3V, CR2032), following the indication + an –on
the battery holder, indicating battery correct positioning.
When the battery is changed, close the panels again, then plug the cable and mount it back on the
wall.
