enclosed.ThehighlightedredsectionoftheFIXTURETRASMITTERinthefigurebelowshowsthe
locationoftheantenna.Aclear360degreeviewaroundtheantennawillprovidethebestpossible
performance.ObstructionsespeciallyoneoverthetopoftheFIXTUREtransmitterwilldecrease
performance.Seebelowformountingsuggestions.

Overview
TheGuardian™isawirelessalertingsystemdesignedtoautomatepressuremonitoringfor
hydraulicworkholding.TheGuardian™Systemconsistsoftwopieces,theMACHINERECEIVERand
theFIXTURETRANSMITTER.TheMACHINERECEIVERfeaturesanLCDdisplaytocommunicate
withahumanoperatoraswellasadigitalinterfaceallowingthedevicetocommunicatewithan
externalmachinecontrollerorPLC(ProgrammableLogicControl).TheMACHINERECEIVERisthe
huboftheGuardianSystem.
TheFIXTURETRANSMITTERisasealed,compact,lowpowerdeviceutilizingtwo“AA”
batteries.TheFIXTURETRANSMITTERacceptsaninputfromanon‐powered/drycontactsensing
switchviaanM8connectorandcontinuouslyreportsthestatusofthisswitchoveradataradiolink.
Vektekrecommendspressureswitch,P/NS7‐0750‐00,forhydraulicpressuremonitoring.With
LithiumAAbatteries,theFIXTURETRANSMITTERcanoperateforuptooneyearbetweenbattery
changes,dependinguponthedutycycleoftheunitandthenumberofpairedMACHINERECEIVERS.
AnyFIXTURETRANSMITTERcanbeusedwithupto8MACHINERECEIVERS.Each
FIXTURETRANSMITTERmustbe“paired”withatleastoneMACHINERECEIVERtooperate.A
FIXTURETRANSMITTERcanbepairedandunpairedrepeatedlywithvariousMACHINE
