2. Safety Issues
2.1 Safety Alert Symbol
The symbol shown above is used to identify topics of primary safety concern and call attention to
instructions concerning your personal safety. Watch for this symbol, it involves important safety
precautions, and means “ATTENTION! BE ALERT! YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY IS INVOLVED!”
Read the message that follows and be alert to the possibility of personal injury or death.
2.2 Signal Words
Signal words designate a degree or level of hazard seriousness. They are used in this manual in
accordance with ANSI Z535.4-1991 and are defined as follows:
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation, which if not avoided, will result in death or serious
injury. This signal word is limited to the most extreme situations.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which if not avoided, could result in death or serious
injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate
injury. It may also be used to alert against unsafe practices. It may also be used for property
damage-only accidents.

2. Bezpenost
2.1 Symbol bezpenostního upozornní
Výše zobrazený symbol vždy pipomíná dodržování základních pravidel bezpenosti
a upozoruje na pokyny týkající se bezpenosti osob. Všímejte si tohoto symbolu,
upozoruje vždy na dodržování bezpenostních opatení a znamená "Dávejte pozor! Vaše
bezpenost je ohrožena!" Pette si pokyn, který tento symbol následuje, a bute si vdomi
možnosti ohrožení lidského zdraví.
2.2 Hesla bezpenostního upozornní
Hesla bezpenostního upozornní signalizují vždy míru nebezpeí. Tato hesla jsou použita
v uživatelském manuálu v souladu s naízením ANSI Z535.4-1991 a jsou následující:
Oznauje velmi nebezpenou situaci, pi které mže dojít k ohrožení lidského zdraví nebo
k usmrcení lovka. Toto heslo je použito u nejnebezpenjších situací.
Oznauje potenciáln nebezpenou situaci, pi které mže dojít ke smrti nebo vážnému
zranní osob.
Oznauje potenciáln nebezpenou situaci, pi které mže dojít k lehkému nebo stedn
tžkému zranní osob. Mže být rovnž použito k upozornní na nebezpené zacházení nebo
možnost vzniku škod na majetku.

2.5 Operational Safety
•Always isolate the power supply before working on the pump!
•Never place hands or other parts of the body inside or near any part of the pump when it is in
operation or when the power is not totally isolated!
•Maintain a clean environment around the pump. The VERDERFLEX®Dura®pump is
manufactured from cast steel, and therefore the flanges and Housings etc may have sharp
edges - slipping or falling against the pump may cause serious injury.
•When the pump is running, you should not touch the pump and should maintain an adequate
safe distance around it!
•Do not climb onto the pump or connecting pipe work.
Wear safety clothing (glasses, hats, gloves, boots, etc) when operating or working on the pump or in
its immediate vicinity.
2.6 Maintenance Safety
•Always isolate the power supply before working on the pump!
•Always follow the safety procedures for handling the product being pumped! (Refer to MSDS)
•If the hose has ruptured, the lubricant may be contaminated with product, care must be taken to
handle the mixture appropriately.
•Do not stand near the pump while the hose is being removed, if the hose is expelled too quickly,
it could cause serious injury.
•Never try to install a hose without the front cover in place.
•Never remove the front cover when the hose is still in position.
•When removing the front cover, suitable lifting equipment may be required to support the weight.
Always use lifting equipment safely in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
The pump is provided with a lifting eye should the need to move the pump arise.
•Do not stand in the immediate vicinity of the pump when operating with the inspection cover
removed, follow safety procedures for operation of pump with inspection cover off.
•Extreme care must be taken when removing the rotor and shaft from the pump housing & drive.
Loads must be properly supported to prevent injury.
•Do not strike the pump shaft, the inner race or the bearings.
•Once installed, the bearings are greased for life; do not lubricate after installation.

2.5 Provozní bezpenost
•Ped provádním jakýchkoliv úkon na erpadle vždy odpojte pívod elektrické energie!
•Pi provozu erpadla se nikdy nedotýkejte jeho vnitních nebo i jiných souástí a stejn tak se
erpadla nedotýkejte, dokud není úpln odpojeno od pívodu elektrického proudu!
• Kolem erpadla udržujte istotu. erpadlo VERDERFLEX® Dura® je vyrobeno z litinové oceli,
a proto mohou mít píruby a pláš erpadla ostré hrany - pi pejíždní rukou po erpadle
nebo pi jeho pevném uchopení mže dojít ke zranní.
• Je-li erpadlo v innosti, nemli byste se ho dotýkat a mli byste udržovat bezpený odstup.
• Na erpadlo nebo potrubí nikdy nestoupejte.
Pi provozu erpadla nebo pi práci v jeho tsné blízkosti noste ochranný odv a používejte
ochranné pracovní pomcky (brýle, pilbu, rukavice, boty, atd.)
2.6 Bezpenost pi provádní údržby
•Ped provádním jakýchkoliv úkon na erpadle vždy odpojte pívod elektrické energie!
• Vždy dodržujte bezpenostní pokyny pro manipulaci s erpanou látkou!
• Pi prasknutí hadice mže dojít k pimísení erpané látky do olejové nápln, pi manipulaci
s touto smsí dbejte opatrnosti.
• Pi výmn hadice nestjte v blízkosti erpadla, pi jejím prudkém vymrštní mže dojít
k vážnému poranní.
• Nikdy se nesnažte instalovat hadici bez sejmutí elního krytu.
• Nikdy kryt nesnímejte, je-li hadice stále na svém míst.
• Pi demontáži elního krytu použijte zdvihací zaízení. Zdvihací zaízení používejte
podle bezpenostní pokyn jeho výrobce. Pro zdvižení je erpadlo je vybaveno okem.
• Pi bhu erpadla s oteveným kontrolním krytem nestjte v jeho tsné blízkosti, postupujte
podle bezpenostních pokyn pro práci s erpadlem pi jeho innosti s oteveným
kontrolním krytem.
• S nejvyšší opatrností postupujte pi demontáži rotoru a hídele z plášt erpadla a motoru.
Abyste pedešli zranní, zaízení si dkladn podložte.
• Hídel a vnitní kroužek ložiska nikdy nenaklepávejte nebo nenarážejte.
• Po instalaci ložiska nepromazávejte, jsou samomazná na celou dobu jejich životnosti.

3.4 Product Range
The VERDERFLEX®Dura®range of pumps are sized and named according to the internal bore
diameter of the hose. The range starts with the 10mm diameter DURA10 unit, and incorporates a
total of 3 models, up to the 25mm diameter DURA25.
The pumps are capable of operating up to 12 bar / 174 PSI with a pumping capacity of:

3.5 Pump Construction
The VERDERFLEX®Dura®pump, Figure 1, is one of the most simple, yet most robust designs of its
type, with few moving parts:

The pump housing is terminated with universal taper-lock flange connections to suit PN 16, ANSI
and JIS. Within the housing the rotor compresses the reinforced hose, this displaces the pumped
media and generates a peristaltic pumping action. The housing provides support for the hose whilst
under compression from the rotor assembly. A taper-lock flange is used to retain the hose position
within the housing whilst clamping and sealing the hose in the Housing. The rotor runs in a lubricant
bath, which is filled through breather tube at the rear of the housing. Overall the unit is designed to
enable simple assembly and maintenance.

3.4 Rozsah výrobní ady erpadel VERDERFLEX®Dura®
Hadicová erpadla výrobní ady VERDERFLEX®Dura®jsou pojmenována a velikostn
odstupována podle vnitního prmru hadice. Rozsah výrobní ady zahrnuje celkem 3 modely
erpadel, zaíná erpadlem DURA 10 s prmrem hadice 10 mm a koní erpadlem DURA 25
s prmrem hadice 25mm.
Provozní tlak erpadel dosahuje hodnoty až 12 bar / 174 PSI s erpacím výkonem:

3.5 Konstrukce erpadla
erpadlo VERDERFLEX®Dura®, Obr. 1, patí mezi jedny z nejjednodušších erpadel
s malým potem pohybujících se souástí, nicmén jsou to erpadla velice odolná:

Pláš erpadla je zakonen univerzální kónickou rychlospojkou kompatibilní s PN 16, ANSI a JIS.
V tle erpadla dochází pomocí otáejícího se rotoru k postupnému stlaování hadice, což vytváí
peristaltický erpací úinek. Pláš erpadla zajišuje oporu pro stlaovanou hadici soustrojím rotoru.
Kónická rychlospojka slouží k zajištní polohy hadice uvnit erpadla a její utsnní. Rotor se otáí
v olejové náplni, která je do erpadla nalévána ventilaním otvorem na zadní ásti erpadla.
Celkov je toto erpadlo konstruováno tak, aby byla jeho snadná montáž a údržba.
