If your LTE Home Router was not already turned on, please turn it on now.
Please note – If you power on the LTE Home Router while the LTE Home Antenna is connected to the
antenna port on the router but not connected to power, the router may not complete its boot up process
properly and will not work as expected. If this occurs, please turn off the router and ensure the LTE
Home Antenna is connected to power before turning the LTE Home Router back on.

Step 4 Identify the Location of Best Signal for Placement of the LTE Home Antenna
Identifying and mounting the LTE Home Antenna in the location of your home with the best available LTE
signal will provide the best performance of your LTE Home Router. Typically, the best signal and
recommended mounting location for the antenna will be on a window in your home.
Figure 6: Locating best placement for your LTE Home Antenna
Once all components are connected, you can use the admin portal on your LTE Home Router to measure
signal strength at various locations. Details to connect to the admin portal for your LTE Home Router can
be found on the label on the bottom of the router.

Once logged in, select the following from the menu on the left to view the signal strength:
Network > Network Status > LTE
Step 5 Mount the Antenna at the Identified Location
Note: Before final placement, please consider that the adhesive will create a secure bond to the surface.
To remove the antenna from a window surface, see, “Antenna Removal” on page 9.
Once the best mounting location has been identified, prepare the area by cleaning it first (rubbing alcohol,
window cleaner and similar solutions work well). Once the area has thoroughly dried, mount the antenna
by removing the paper backing from the adhesive padding and firmly pressing it against the cleaned area.
Please ensure the antenna is mounted vertically with the cable pointing down for the best performance.

Step 6 Route and Secure the Cables
Figure 8: Routing the cables
Using the included cable clips and Velcro straps, route the cables as desired for the cleanest possible
installation. If Velcro straps are used, coil the excess cable before wrapping to ensure a clean look and
installation.

Instructions for Antenna Removal
Before final placement, please consider that the adhesive will create a secure bond to the surface. Should you need
to remove the antenna, see the steps below:
1. Remove the antenna from the window. Disconnect or unplug the antenna from the LTE Home Router before
proceeding. Use a plastic putty knife or similar tool to gently remove it from the window. This may take some
time, but never push/pull too hard or use any metal objects like a screwdriver, because it could result in
breaking the glass and possible injury.
2. Remove the adhesive from the window. To loosen the adhesive prior to removal, use a heat source like a hair
dryer. Apply rubbing alcohol, WD-40 or a similar solvent using a cloth or a pre-saturated wipe to the residue and
surrounding area. Use a stainless-steel blade approved for use on glass to firmly scrape any remaining adhesive
pad from the window surface. Apply additional solvent as needed. Once complete, use window cleaner to clean
the area and check for remaining residue.
3. Remove remaining adhesive from the antenna. Use fingers to remove remaining residue from the antenna.
