11
Setting up the Free Fall/ Zip Tower
Upon positioning the Mobile Free Fall Tower trailer in place, we begin by removing the trailer from
Vehicle. Then;
Rotate front Jack by removing its respective pin and re-inserting once the jack is 90 degrees with
the trailer. Pins must be inserted completely.
Unlock trailer coupler by removing r-clip and lifting the locking handle. We can now begin to
turn the jack handle until the trailer coupler is above the hitch. Remove 7 way plug and safety
chains from rear of tow vehicle. Move tow vehicle away from trailer at this time.
Slide out rear jack arms by first removing travel pin and then by sliding out approximately 20
inches. Do not slide out further than where the second pin can be inserted. Re-install pin on jack
arms to ensure they do not get lost. Repeat same procedure for opposite side. (See Below)

12
Raise the jacks at the rear of the trailer followed by the middle jacks. The middle jacks are
located just before the fenders. Slide out middle jack arms 20 inches and turn jacks to operational
position. Make sure that the jack pins are properly inserted before engaging the jacks.Jacks
should be raised until tensioned against the ground. Do not lift trailer tires off the ground.
Do the same for both sides. (See picture below)
At this time, make sure all trailer support jacks should be installed. There are four jacks two on
the left and two on the right, which attach to jack arms with pre-welded couplers.
If equipped with optional Rock Wall. (All Rock Wall instructions are in blue letters)
If unit is equipped with optional rock wall panel, you must remove pin from davit arm and move to
the operating position before raising the Free Fall Tower. The davit has only two positions a travel
position and operating position. The operating position will place the belay cable at the center of
the panel. You must do this for both sides of the tower.
If equipped with optional Bungee. (All Bungee Trampoline instructions are in orange letters)
Remove tongue jack and 7-way plug at the rear of trailer tongue. We can remove the trailer tongue
by removing the two large pins that hold it in place. Place pins in toolbox to keep from misplacing.

13
Remove Bungee Support Arms from trailer and begin to install them on the bungee base. Each arm
is marked with a letter to a corresponding corner. The arms are split into a base section and a top
section. Assemble all four support-arms at this time by sliding and pining the top section.
Place support-arms next to each of its corresponding corner. Remove the large pin on the base and
begin to install each of the bungee support arms. Install all four-support arms at this time.
Swing support arms into position and lock in using the ½ diameter pin and clip.
Install all four jacks for swing support arms.

14
Remove Bungee poles from their travel brackets on the trailer base. Remove the two front pole
holder brackets from the trailer. Brackets are held in place via clevis pin. Store brackets in the
toolbox.
Remove both of the tower travel locks in the front and store all brackets and pins in the toolbox.
Each travel lock consists of two pins, rectangle tube and U shape bracket that must be removed.
Connect both attendant safety (fall protection) life-line to tower. The safety line attaches to the
center top of the tower on the free fall section and at the rear of the zip line platform.
(See picture below).
Locate the hydraulic lift control switch located on the passenger side of the trailer inside the
tool-box. Double check that all travel pins have been removed.

15
Make sure there is proper clearance for the arc of the Mobile Free Fall Zip Tower before up
righting. Caution: Be aware of possible-over-head obstacles before raising Mobile Free Fall
Zip Tower.
Install the retract winch to the top of the tower at this time. The retract winch is attached
via two grade eight fasteners.
Connect both zip line cables, the brake cable and the retract cable to the tower at this time.
Each of the two Zip cables attach via a large 7/8 diameter grade 8-bolt and nylon nut. Install both
bolts and nuts and make sure they are tightened to 25 ft.-lbs.
The brake cable is attached via two steel screw lock carabineers. Once installed please make sure
the screw is in the locked position.
Release the Zip line platform by removing the turnbuckle and cable. The platform has red wheels
that will roll on the trailer while the unit is being raised.
Using the hydraulic lift control begin raising the tower until the center rail on the lower platform
can be installed. The center platform has two tabs in the center to accommodate the center rail.
The center rail is attached via the supplied grade eight fasteners. (See pictures on next page).

16
Grab one of the side rails for the Zip platform and attach them to the tower via the supplied
fasteners. The tower has two holes on each side to receive the side rails. Grab the rail for the
opposite side and repeat the procedure.
Connect both side rails to the platform at this time, by pulling the platform to the rail bottom.
Platform is attached to rail via supplied grade eight bolts. (See Picture on Next Page).

17
Install both of the gates using the supplied clevis pins and locking rings.
At this time, we must raise the tower slightly in order to install the platform supports.
The platform supports attach to the vertical tower beams and the front of the zip platform using the
supplied fasteners.
Tighten all of the Zip Platform fasteners at this time. Make sure all of the platform fasteners are
tight and properly installed.
Confirm that all the side rails and gates are locked in place. It is very important that someone
makes sure that the brake line and retract line do not get snagged on any part of the trailer
or anchor! Hold the up button secure until the Mobile Free Fall Tower base is about to touch the
ground. DO NOT PUSH AND RELEASE THE CONTROL BUTTON MULTIPLE TIMES
WHILE RAISING THE MOBILE FREE FALL TOWER. Rather, press the button
continuously until the Mobile Free Fall/ Zip Tower base is about to touch the ground. Once the
Mobile Free Fall Tower is about to touch the ground start using the leveling jacks to raise the
trailer so the base barely touches the ground. Raise both jacks at the same time. Continue raising
the Mobile Free Fall/Zip Tower until the frame is resting on the ground in whole or in part, level
on the trailer frame. Lower both jacks until there is very little pressure on them. Make sure that
only the metal frame is resting on the ground. If only a portion of the metal Mobile Free Fall
Tower frame is resting on the ground, shim up the portion of the Mobile Free Fall Tower base not
touching the ground with wood or metal shims. Shim only the metal frame!

18
We can now begin with the installation of the vertical support brackets. Remove all of the support
pieces attached to the trailer.
There are two support brackets attached to each side of the tower. Remove the pin holding the
bottom section to the tower.
Push the support brackets away from the tower and begin installing the horizontal supports to the
tower and vertical support using the supplied fasteners. Three support brackets attach to the
vertical support. The middle support will require an extension ladder to install. All brackets
attach via supplied fasteners. (Please see pictures on next page).

19
Install the Jack to the vertical support bracket. The support bracket has a jack coupler welded on
one end where the jack is secured via the attached clevis pin. Move the jack handle to align
jackleg to trailer bracket if necessary. Secure the lower side of jack to the trailer using the
supplied grade eight fastener.
Repeat the same procedure on the opposite side. (See pictures below).
Tighten all vertical and support fasteners at this time.
Begin assembling the vehicle or Sled Anchor for the Zip line at this time.

20
The vehicle anchor can only be used for zip line distances of 300ft. or less. You need one
vehicle and anchor per zip station. Any distance above 300 ft. will require a sled anchor or
universal anchor.
If Zip distance is going to be above 401 ft. you must install the supplied counter weight on
the front of tower once erected. The counter weight attaches to the tower via the supplied
fasteners. Install the padded cover over the counter weight at this time.
Vehicle Anchor assembly:
Vehicle anchor center attaches to a class 5 or class 6 hitch on the back of the vehicle via a 5/8 pin.
The anchor has two support legs with jacks that bolt to center section and two vertical support
arms that must be fastened in place. Tighten all fasteners.
Zip retract pulley bracket must also be installed. It is attached via two grade 8 fasteners.
We can now connect the tension meter to the Pintle hook on the anchor. Attach the chain hoist to
the other end of the tension meter. Make sure tension meter readings can be read easily.
Connect Zip Line cable to the other end of the chain hoist. The Zip Line is the thick 19mm
polymer cable.
Connect the 15mm Brake cable end from the trailer to your large turnbuckle. The Brake line is
the 15mm polymer cable or the ¼ inch steel cable.
Connect the Zip stop to the Anchor bracket using the supplied pins.
Connect Pulley and blue rope to Zip stop and close quick link. (See picture on next page).
